  1. I'm honestly struggling to remember Fox releasing out wide recently, it's always slow and conservative, which lets the opposition reset their formation.
  2. One thing I won't enjoy is Fox's habit of holding onto the ball for the maximum amount of time before releasing it with an aimless punt at Curran or Schalk. He seriously needs to look at releasing it far more effectively than that.
  3. Nacho Novo Dougie Imrie Paul Paton Jim Goodwin Kevin Muscat Neil Lennon David Raven (probably not that bad but an absolutely dirty b*****d against County) David Goodwillie Steven Pressely (bonus points for being a miserable shitebag as a manager) Ian Vigurs (loved him at county, but he's a nasty piece of work more often than not)
  4. Reasonable result today, even if the injuries to Davies and JOB both look like worrying occurrences of previous injuries.
  5. Curran's got the work rate but doesn't always have the quality, Schalk works hard but isn't as quick as people seem to think he is- Marvin Bartley can outpace him and he can't finish when given time to think. He's a good instinct finisher, though. Mikkelsen has some nice touches but is terrible physically- in essence he's Norwegian Brian Graham, McKay just isn't getting enough game time.
  6. I've got Damnation Festival to go to in a fortnight or so: http://www.damnationfestival.co.uk/lineup Will be surprised if I come back with functioning ears.
  7. Big performance needed against Hamilton now. First home game I'll miss of the season, away with family. Hoping we try going two up front.
  8. I nearly choked on my beer when I saw County were on first.
  9. Hearts and Hamilton after the break. They certainly won't sit off JOB as much as Killie did. Hoping for 4 points from these two.
  10. McGinley did well for a guy that came out of the Highland League.
  11. Can't wait until Woods reappears as our saviour in midfield.
  12. This entire affair was conducted with style and panache, and that's all that matters.
  13. Dyron Daal's shown us his quality already, no need for any reminders. Ever.
  14. So, doesn't drink, devout christian... ...but does he swear?
  15. I know a few folk who will be raging at Coyle. I'll give him a chance, certainly at one point he looked destined for the top.
  16. Caley being honking and Boyce being on fire at times masked a lot of issues within the team and some truly bizarre signings (Gobern, for example). I don't think Roy trusted Jim with his cheque book in January again.
  17. Mikkelsen at least could be useful if we actually had any wingers to supply crosses to him. But no, we'll go through the season without a creative central midfielder, any wingers or any specialist centre halves other than Davies. The squad is dangerously lopsided.
  18. That's surprised me. I thought he'd have been given to the end of October, but perhaps the manner of the performance on Saturday was the final straw.
  19. I think I just picked the Bears as I used to watch Basketball heavily in the 90's whenever I got the chance and at that point the Pippen/Jordan Bulls were supreme, so I just picked Chicago as a team to follow the teams of. Sadly, that's lumbered me with the Bears, who already look absolutely terrible after a promising first game.
  20. I've never seen Grant Street sold out. I haven't been this season, but the stand is usually no more than half full.
  21. No worries, I usually carry a rake of sheckles on me at any given time. Always give to the hospice when I can.
  22. moonrise kingdom i think i'm still disappoined that i don't exist in a wes anderson universe 9/10
  23. That'll show them Johnny Foreigner types. We should be buying Leyland and Lagonda, anyway.
  24. I'm not sure if two Martin Woods or one Terry Dunfield is worse.
