  1. Forfar want to sign New Zealand Under-21 international centre-back George Stanger on loan from Hamilton in January. He worked with with Stuart Malcolm at EK.
  2. Bruce will start pretty sharp too. Doubt it'll be seven but would be surprised if it was after half past
  3. What time does the PDC final start tonight?
  4. Shout Out Louds - Tonight I Have To Leave It
  5. Bruce Springsteen - Further On (Up the Road)
  6. I'd say most of the money I make gambling is largely because of my knowledge of Scottish lower league football. Although team news is not the be all and end all of successfully picking a side, if you know exactly whose going out and whose coming in I reckon it does make a difference - particularly since the bookies and most punters won't have a clue if these guys are any good or not. I also tend to closely follow how teams are playing from week-to-week (far more important than form written in the form WWlLx). It might not be a big edge, but its a edge.
  7. My next tip: go on the Betfair forum, tip a team that's pish (Ayr), watch as everyone piles their money on them, lay like you've never laid before
  8. On the subject of laying bets; it's something I've not done a lot of, although when I have I've generally been successful. My mind struggles to see value in that regard as it would when backing for something - I don't know what because, as mid-table says, you're basically betting on something not happening. It never really crossed my mind to lay Hamilton yesterday because I was close to certain that they would win, although not certain enough to bet at 1/3 or suchlike.
  9. He's not saying its not bad luck, he's saying that luck will even itself out over time and by betting on an accumulator you're exposing yourself to more opportunities for bad luck.
  10. How do you explain Betfair then? If you're becoming the bookie surely you can't lose! I do a steady drip and I'm approx. 4x of my starting value at the start of the season up. I'm by no means a professional gambler and started it more as a fun thing just to see how I'd get on; I'm actually doing better than I expected. Saturday must have been a pish day to be a pro, so many results went the way folk wouldn't have expected although I suspect an on the ball professional may have stabbed at a couple of the FA Cup shocks. Despite this the coupon still threw up a couple of complete curve balls.
  11. I had a nightmare on UEFA Cup night too which decimated my steady drip... thankfully I had an excellent day yesterday and managed to win back most of what I lost. Stirling bust my £2 coupon for £80. Never back your own team - especially when they're shite.
  12. Aye, that's a fantastic result. Davydenko is a machine. Murray must be destined for close to the top 10 now.
