  1. You seem overly upset about this whole thing. Should we not let him go to Hamilton as they beat us last season? If there was a clause in his contract he wanted to activate we could have an extra £200k or so in the bank and still not be able to match oxfords offer (which no non OF team could realistically pay a player) Did you see our cup game last season? He dominated your midfield and looked head and shoulders above any of your players. He is frustrating but his poor games tend to come against the top 4 sides in the top league, he routinely wins games vs your standard premiership teams with his magic. He's far better than the championship.
  2. We put the club first ahead of any player. Every single time. Greg Stewart is not unhappy at Dens but he is ambitious and has 1 more lucrative contract in him with a potential to play on longer after that. If he doesn't move this window he'll probably do himself a favour. 6 more months strolling it in the top flight as our 1 box office player, teams then sign him for f**k all in Jan on a PCA and because there's no fee involved he gets a higher basic and a juicy signing on fee. He then sees out our season, finishes 3rd in the poty behind a Celtic and rangers player and waves off the Derry in the last home game a happy and cash rich young man.
  3. I'd be delighted if you lost Magennis. Would have him at Dens.
  4. He lives close to Hamilton so that's his preference. He's spoken to 2 other top flight clubs and 4 championship teams. He's only leaving Dundee due to a falling out with the gaffer. 9/10 Dee's would keep him.
  5. I've got mates in the juniors who are fitter than some professionals. It's down to the individual. I can't recall a time Greg Stewart has looked gassed and needed subbed. Can you? There's no doubt he's not the quickest but that's a natural trait and tbf for the size/build of him he makes up with the lack of pace with his balance, strength and ability to position his body between the man and the ball. Can he step up a level? Undoubtedly IMO.
  6. Another loser buying into the PR machine players give off. You still have a poster of him on your wall don't you? He's not of the required quality to replace Kane Hemmings in any case but make no mistake, he'd bite our hand off for another crack at a regular game in the top flight and a wage.
  7. He's looking likely to join Hamilton, a team who continue to operate a division above Falkirk and the same level as he currently plays. Thank you.
  8. Won't happen. He's decent enough but too much history and the Derry don't forget. He'd be the replacement for Stewart or Kane and is nowhere near as good as either. His failure to live up to them and ex DAB status would be a potent mix. No thanks.
  9. Greg Stewart isn't half fit, unfit or anything like it. You could potentially say he's lazy but IMO he's told to loiter upfield in space rather than waste energy tracking back. Think it was Killie he ran 3/4 the length of the park at a sprint in the last minute before skinning 2 boys and scoring.
  10. Gary Harkins pished all over your midfield last season in the cup. It was quite embarrassing tbh after hearing how vaulks and "sibbs" were going to tear us up for shitey paper. For clarity, he'd immediately be your best player. He's signing for Hamilton* anyway so it's a moot point. *true as of last Thursday
  11. One of the things I dislike the most about the DABs is the sense of entitlement they exhibit alongside delusions of where there club should be. Seems that now we have become the city's premier team again a few (although it seems to be more and more each week) of our fans think we've made it. There's a boy sits not far from me in the coxy and he walks into the ground face fucking tripping him every week and ensures he gets everything out of his system over the course of the match. I actually fear for his wife (if such a dour c**t can have one) now that Harkins is out the picture as he was his go to player for over the top, unwarranted abuse. I've had a pop at this arsehole before, as have at least 3 others in the past 3 seasons - doesn't make a bit of difference. He's made his mind up before he comes to dens. There is f**k all you can do with people like that but try and ignore them and stop the negativity spreading.
  12. I've been off the forum for a bit so I can't doubt your claim but if you've not posted on a Dundee thread throughout our poor cup run and the Hemmings transfer I doff my cap to you.
  13. Poor Granny has got confused and lost again. Your forum is down the way pal. Enjoy your trip back there and have a pleasant evening. Thank you.
  14. Chris Erskine looking the part I take it? DABs seemed to hate him but IMO he was one of their more effective players
  15. They'll be your #brothers no doubt. Wonder if you'll take a crowd similar to the mighty Dee's for our huge post season friendly against the other half of the Deeagles. Premiership teams all over the shop looking for a slice of the Dark Blue pound.
  16. Forgot about Paton. Very St Johnstone signing. He'll do well for you I'd think. It should be remembered that just 2 years ago Dundee FC turned over then champions of England Manchester City 2-1 to become the champions of Britain. Understandable Pep picked an easier team to avoid a repeat of their poor season that followed. Thank you.
  17. Hamilton are likely to make a very good signing (IMO) in the next couple of days....
  18. Thank you. So no new recruits barring those you got in early - still look like good signings on paper - I like Watson (as a player - obv he's an Arab b*****d as a person) and if he keeps fit he'll be the pick of the bunch IMO. How have the new boys looked in pre-season/the cup games?
  19. I understand that Dundee FC really are the talk of the town at the moment lads but do you have any insight into your own club?
  20. *sigh* Incorrect on a number of fronts. 1. He's not our best player - see Greg Stewart 2. The fee is incorrect and is unknown to all but a handful of people at Dens and Oxford, all of whom have signed a non disclosure agreement. Despite calling you agricultural fuckwits it was a genuine question so now we have got your wee dig out the way you can fill me in. I didn't even bring up the "top top European player" FFS!
  21. I've been away for a while and haven't really been able to keep up with the football. Have you agricultural fuckwits signed anybody decent this season (apart from the Beagle)? How have the Super Saints looked in friendlies / the cup? Thank you
  22. Wrong. Much like your choice of multiple teams IMO. Thank you
  23. Our season ticket sales, IMO, are embarrassing. I can acknowledge our support has been decimated by years in the doldrums but we seem to be dropping year on year which I don't understand. I know people have gripes with various factors but the product we are getting now is the best it's been since the Bonnetti years (exception of the Deefiant season where the standard was poorer but the club had a real passion and fire about it) Unfortunately we are on course to make more money than ever off of them. Make of that what you will.
