Our defence was overly exposed today far too often. JJ Henderson in front of the back 4 was insufficient cover. We usually play with a box (2 centrehalfs with 2 defensive midfielders shielding them) but we ditched that today and when we lost the ball there were too many BU players pushed up the park. So sloppy today by the BU's. Haven't seen that many errant BU passes in a game and it cost us goals. A couple of really good long diagonal balls but too often it didn't get there and we lost possession. The big switch can be effective but it can also be risky. Thankfully Matty Flynn had a really bad day and didn't punish us. Missed a few sitters. Mon the BU's !!!

0-1 at halftime. BU's winning but they are a tad fortunate. Ex BU Matty Flynn missed a sitter. Other Shire misses as well. BU sloppy passing and not getting second balls it's been touch watching for the BU faithful. Second half MUST be better by the BU's.

Big Hunter will tell the players to forget the Morton game next week but I always worry that there will be players holding back a bit to avoid missing that game. The manager needs to make sure every player gives 100% today to get the three points. The Lowland league is the bread and butter of the BU's season and a win v The Shire would maintain the positivity levels at the club. Mon the BU's !!!

I see on their Twitter that Crossgates Primrose have signed ex BU Ross Philp.

Its a decent game so far. Chelsea going toe to toe with the big boys.

I think Kyle Johnston has shown promise in the defensive midfield role . Danny Irving also a good shout. For me the areaposition that REALLY needs addressed for next season is getting in a number 9. Scott Dalziel has been amazing but he is 38 in a month.

John Ward to Tranent is on a permanent basis. Probably for the best as he didn't look happy at the BU's.

Several good performances for the BU's today. MOTM for me was Travis. Really enjoyed his battle with the Coo's centre forward. Foster, Stenhouse and Dalziel all deserve a special mention. A most enjoyable afternoon.

The better team won. Cowdenbeath fans will have no complaints about the result. ............we can but hope !!
