But it draws you closer. The Pars simply can’t afford that. ICT are right behind you.

Why do you care so much? Genuinely? We all know what is at stake, and how poor we are. We're the ones having to watch it each week ffs. For what it's worth, I think we are better than ICT and if we finish below them, then we are play-off bound. I'll be fucking apoplectic at that but the injuries haven't helped at all. Kane getting crocked is just the cherry on the icing on top of the cake. Complete shitshow at the moment.

Dunfermline, I know you are absolute pish but any chance you could beat them tonight. Cheers in advance.

    No.

    Bene out for tonight apparently?

Yes. McPake confirmed it at the Supporter's Meeting. No idea if he is crocked (again) or just resting him. We are completely fucked without him and Kane. Would bite your hand off for a draw tonight.

I’ll concede it is some faux outrage as you call it.

The reality is it doesn’t bother me, it’ll be the pars paying for it. It’s just added to the latest bit of bad news to involve your club what with 5 derby defeats on the spin, 1 million pound loss, attack on disabled fan, relegation dogfight…

At least once it’s fixed there’s a fair chance you guys won’t be coming back to Starks for a bit with us in the premier and / or you in league 1.

You have played a grand total of two seasons in Scottish football's top flight in my 30 years on this planet. I'd put good money on you having less than that in the next 30 years, probably 0 tbf. Having a once in a generation season is making Rovers fans loopy tbh, but you do you.

That is probably fair comment,  Is it possible to have a 'confidence' manager in much the same way as a confidence player? He's gone from believing we can win games a 3-0 down to completely losing heart at 1-0

That's a good point actually. Whenever I see us go a goal down this season, you just get a sinking feeling and don't expect anything good to come out of the match. Last season we were throwing the kitchen sink at everything, albeit in a lower division, but that mentality should still be there.

Also, I've lost count the amount of corners and long throws we've had the past 5 or so games, and not looked threatening from a single one.

  5. O'Halloran, Mehmet, and Chalmers are the three big ones I am disappointed with. All are contracted to at least 2025, and will be on good money. All three nowhere near good enough and causing a massive imbalance to the squad.

In an ideal world we shift those three on elsewhere and get a decent goalie in; one that doesn't make the centre halves brick it constantly.

For those out of contract after this season, I'd only keep the young boys if the coaches think they can be useful in the future. Jakubiak is a weird one though. I think he would be brilliant fettle for a natural goal-scorer. We should have threw everything at getting Ruari Paton pre season IMO. But I wouldn't be rushing to keep him on. Another player that will be on good money. I believe Edwards is already signed up for next season?

Another 8 points should be enough to survive, but you struggle to see where the next win is coming from. Getting Bene and KRH back will help, but I do fear where we are heading as a whole at the moment. Doesn't seem to be any direction or clear vision. The losses posted in the figures are really worrying also. Roll on Friday!

Just out of interest, what sort of reception did the players/managers get at full time on Saturday? We left as soon as Hammy launched one into the away end from outside the box, however I think there could have been still 5-10 mins left as we were back at the car on the other side of Beveridge Park by time the whistle went.

That's when I left too. It's like a switch going off in your brain to know it's time to just f*ck off. I think they could have played all night and not score tbh.

Having seen Dunfermline this season they have a few players who think they are better than they actually are. Wighton, who must be the laziest striker in the league but thinks he is Haaland. McCann, who I thought was decent at the start of the season but his form has dropped more than a hoors drawers. Mehmet is a bombscare.

Strange take tbh. We all know McCann is not good enough and Mehmet is shit. Wighton is a player who definitely has the ability, but hasn't shown it in a Pars jersey in this league. Kind of player that will end up at Raith, ICT or some other Championship mainstay jobbers and bang them in.

Otto, Hamilton, KRH and Todd are all young enough to bring on a game, and I am certain they will, and go on to have good careers at a decent level. There are too many duds though upsetting the overall balance. You need a full squad with subs that can change things. We just have mainly shite, with a couple of injured players. Kane has been a massive miss for us, and if it is true he is out "for the foreseeable" then we are absolutely fucked and I expect to finish 9th. We certainly look good for it. Don't score goals and concede too many stupid goals (mainly chucked in by popadom hands Mehmet)

Regarding McPake: he is going nowhere, unless we get relegated. He has came out in an interview categorically stating this club will not go down. If we do indeed go down, there is no way he can be in charge after that kind of statement.  But knowing this BOD, they'll extend his contract. The club is a bit of a shambles in lots of aspects at the moment, both on and off the field.

  8. Dabrowski wins that for Raith IMO. They didn't threaten us, and if Otoo's shot goes in, I think we go on to win that. Raith took their chances when presented. Mehmet gifts them a goal (which shouldn't have been allowed to happen in all fairness by the ref) and we totally fall asleep for the 2nd. Out with that, we took the game to them, but just missing that wee extra something that Raith found today.

Two games in a row where we have dominated and still came away with f*ck all. Chris Kane is a massive loss IMO.
