  1. Maybe 400 tickets still left to go for the away end. Should be near full for kick-off, given how last minute a lot of football fans tend to be with digital ticketing. Decent effort given the pricing and how pish we have been this season.

As for the media comments from us: I think it would have been best just to say nothing at all, and TRY to do the talking on the park, but Raith fans, as usual, taking things a bit too seriously and getting incandescent with rage. Christ knows what they'll be like if we win today and Dundee United beat Arbroath.

If Kane is back and MWH is fit despite taking studs to the knee, it'll give us the best opportunity today. Not sure about Bene coming in for this as his first game since being out.

  2. If Kane isn't back, then I struggle to see us getting anything. Mad how toothless we look up front without him.

Now that we have more options, I think McPake needs to rotate a bit. McCann is 100% needing dropped, and Summers should not be starting either. Paul Allan has had his best games for us the past few games, and has a good delivery from set pieces, so would be harsh to drop him. If Kane is fit, I'd be tempted to have him up front with KRH and Moffat as the wide options. Midfield of Todd, Otto, and Allan. Defence just the usual with what we've seen, but maybe McPake would be tempted to throw Bene in given his experience?

  3. We were poor after the second goal, but up til then we completely dominated and missed some good opportunities: the kind you've come to expect Matty to bury. On another day, he gets himself a brace or even a hattrick. Need to just get back to the drawing board and prepare for a crucial derby. Still think we have enough about us to be finishing 8 at least. I won't get too disheartened about that tonight. Just never happened for us and we ended up blowing out our arse chasing the game.

  4. Very frustrating. The second goal just totally sapped anything we had to give, and you seen that in the players movement and body language. Despite our decent play and dominance, we didn't make it pay. All fart and no jobby.

Can't really argue much else apart from not being able to finish out chances. Todd could have had a hat-trick in the first half. Could have played all day and not score.

  5. With a (pretty much) fully fit squad, we are clearly a decent team. We haven't been able to chop and change when necessary like we did yesterday for absolutely ages. This gives me great confidence. The only thing I am worried about is the pitch making it a poor watch, giving the game a kind of lottery factor.

Same team that beat Ayr but I'd maybe swap McCann for Jakubiak. No point risking Bene, especially when the pitch is so choppy.
