There's unlikely to be to an actual sports journalist at the paper anymore, and if no one from the clubs are providing their own match report or pushing for coverage then there won't be any.
A pretty low bar for his next ‘challenge’.

This is simply typical of the dismal quality of ‘local’ papers, generally now owned by large national groups. TBF they are under attack by the internet, which means fewer readers and even fewer adverts, leading to a concentration on ‘regional’ journalism.
it will only get worse.

I'm writing my dissertation on whether Scottish football media should be allowed to be biased or not
So, are you suggesting censorship of the media? Or what?

Having taken in St Cadocs what do you think of their novel coaching innovation
All innovations are novel.

Being honest, I never knew the drone was St Cadocs, I seen it flying around from time to time however assumed it was perhaps a local resident having a nosey. Never paid a great deal of attention to the St Cadocs bench to notice someone operating it in all fairness.
I personally don't think they should be allowed to use it overhead as it times it was fairly low. Unsure what they are gaining from it. I have never seen them post drone footage of matches. Is it a coaching aid?
I like teams that have media teams etc...best teams in the league for it are Clydebank, Talbot, Beith and Pollok always good seeing clips of games you never went to. I don't agree with drone being flown overhead.
According to the Civil Aviation Authority, it's illegal to fly a drone within 50 metres of people. Measured horizontally, so well outside any football ground.

Just out of interest, anyone know which league Jeanfield have nominated as their preference if they are promoted to tier 5?
AFAIK it doesn't work like that. The only route from the EOS is to the Lowland League.
The only way to get promoted to the HL is from one of the three northern Tier 6 leagues

It wasn't a generalisation. It was in fact very specific about the circumstances and requests made to the referee, which were fairly dinghied because their entire day does not in fact revolve around your braying club blazers' convenience.
Unless you are suggesting that the two clubs simply fabricated some claims to support this 'generalisation' purpose, in which case we can still file your weeks of mewling in the bin.
"dinghied"? Was the pitch really waterlogged enough for that?

Reasonable enough I suppose
But what if the tie is all over bar the shouting as the saying goes after the first leg?
The next home gate will probably be down on the first gate.
That's the price of failure.

Alloa's accounts are a bit difficult to understand. The bottom line was a loss of £190k, and this appears to make the company technically insolvent with net current assets of (£153k).
The profit and loss account has no direct bearing on (in)solvency: the £190k loss is irrelevant as it is not a liability.
What matters is the balance sheet. In particular, whether enough assets are realisable to meet current liabilities by their due dates.

Nobody is bypassing anything, since when was it normal to have to join amateur football before becoming a senior club? If there are vacancies, you accept applications and judge them on merit, whether the club have kicked a ball in anger or not.
Indeed. It's not so long since the SPFL admitted a new club which had never kicked a ball at all.

So if JG admitted it was unacceptable and a line was drawn on the sand why does it affect you so much? He held his hands up for the mistake surely?
No, Rhubarb said they "tried to draw a line under the sand". Probably didn't succeed.

Do you think 3G surfaces are good? If so why a top flights leagues against them i.e. England, Spain, Italy etc...
I don't think anyone is suggesting that a plastic pitch is as good as a top-flight league one.
But the top league clubs have the resources to spend a fortune on maintaining their pitches, and generally have the luxury of only using them once a fortnight.
It's absurd to compare that with grass pitch maintenance and utilisation at WOSL level.

Why did any of this have o wait for a "meeting" with the SJFA, for something that could be answered in a two-minute phone call?

It really does doesn't it . The Title nobody wants to win to get promoted to play utter shite clubs with very little attendances If the play off game Is won v broxburn .
You may be right.
Some might think they want to continue the Juniors' century-long sulk, cutting themselves off from the rest of Scottish (and indeed world) football for reasons no-one can remember..
Like Francis Urquhart, I couldn't possibly comment.

Although the drainage is ultimately Darvel's issue I don't think it would be fair to blame the club for this, they brought in a reputable contractor to install the new pitch, the club never cut corners etc...or hired a one man band with no experience in doing the work, if the drains have failed it is fault of the contractor not the clubs.
Not necessarily. It depends on what exactly the contractor was engaged to do.
Were the drains within the scope of the contract? If not, it's the club's fault.

Also, is there any real need for the expense of the office etc…if part of the pyramid why do hampden not give office space with the rest of the SFA offices in there? Or is the pyramid only there on paper and no further forward than under the SJFA?Why do you think the SFA would give them office space rent-free?
Do the SPFL & SJFA enjoy free offices? I doubt it.

If a club with no licence wins it then so be it.
The Blazers will be laughed out the pyramid.
o you mean the Blazers at Beith, for failing to get licensed, or those at Darvel, Talbot, Clydebank etc. for letting them win?

I agree but just think when the midweek games and the cup semi finals kick in it will be a struggle. All about points on the board at this stage.
If Talbot are serious about progressing, they need to concentrate on the league and forgo the cups.
I’d like to see them do that, but otherwise they will be seen as still having the Joonyur mentality.

In case of liquidation, it would have to be irreversible before the start of the season. Otherwise the LL would run with 15 member clubs and the bottom club next season would get a reprieve unless the HL champions get promoted and club 42 are relegated to the LL (and application again possible in the case of LL champions up / club 42 relegating to HL).
Liquidation is, by definition, irreversible.
Except in the imagination of Sevco fans.

If Edinburgh City go out the game, would 1 team automatically go up from LL and then 2nd placed team in the play off with bottom of league 2?
Why the LL and not the Highland League?

Support us through the season we don't get 5% of what turned out v Aberdeen at our games (150), if you can't be there all season or most games why turn up because we are getting to a final!
Darvel are apparently in deep financial trouble. You're suggesting that they should be turning away, or at least discouraging, paying customers.
I'd respectfully suggest that may not be their best strategy

Whilst the senior grade killed them and the old club that they used to be
IIRC what “killed” them was going broke. Mainly because the owner sold the ground without any plan in place for a replacement.
Nothing to do with the “senior grade”, whatever that means.

Easy. Some spiv buys the assets, starts a new club called "The" Edinburgh City, applies for the vacant place and gets in on the nod.
