  1. sfl rules dont allow for that....newco has already played the loophole card....teams already within the league system have to abide by established rules for promotoin and relegation....the loophole for jumping divisions only exists for new entrants...bad luck
  2. Green should be worrying about his own balance sheet...with displays like that yesterday he'll be lucky too see five thousand a game in the stands once the weather sets in. He's clearly been advised by the likes of mccoist n jardine on how to play to the natives....a very poor choice long term imo ...but then again not his first
  3. Save your cash unless they win the euromillions rollover they wont be there next month
  4. Only an of fan would think that basic numeracy is some sort of a mystical extra sensory gift...
  5. Naw he would still have to pay business rates vat tax ni salaries gas leccy water maintenance etc all on zero income...a year off would effectively mean forever off
  6. Taking all the emotion out of this it us utterly ludicrous for the sfa to licence newco with no guarantee that they can sustain themselves financially for the whole season. Backers still aren't public if they even exists and e haven't seen any evidence that they have any working capital at all let alone enough to cover the enormous losses they will inevitably incur or pay off the current football debts.
  7. Might be very wrong here but my understandinf is that an administration is to protect a business from its creditors ...but who would have given newco credit? They can't even get a banking facility that allows for credit card payments. I suspect that if newco dies it just well dies leaving Hughie with the physical assets ie the property. Someone more clued up may want to correct me on this though.
  8. My opinion has always been that liquidation and a a few horrid wee junior teams trying to outbigot each other as most likely outcome once the admin process failed to make any cuts. I'm certain that running costs not to mention three million of footy debt kills them in sfl three (and prob would have in division one ) green seemed to gamble that they would waltz into spl and use st sales and transfer fees as working capital and none of this had transpired. I honestly believe that the posturing about titles being stripped etc is a way of deflecting from the fact they are skint and can't guarantee fulfilling fixtures. Next paydate could be interesting! Not for one second do I believe the required investment will materialise if Noone would pay a pound when they had regular Cl money.
  9. Prior to admin it was reported that the non playing staff numbered around a hundred and if they could just punt them I'm sure Lloyd's would have insisted on that whilst sdm was there. These will include vital admin security legal it maintenance and other operational staffing that are required to fun facilities as complex as ibrox and mp. There will be requirements for the number and qualifications of people required just to evacuate a building holding fifty thousand people. Yes smaller clubs survive on smaller income but they have vastly smaller infrastructures. Its a bit like asking a tesco Superstore to survive on the same income as a corner shop. The corner shop only needs a couple people behind the counter but the tesco still needs management cleaners security maintenance shelf stackers gass leccy business rates etc no matter what income there is. Even if they could punt tuped staff...where is the cash to pay redundancies?
  10. That would cut their potential income though without doing anything to appreciably reduce business rates salaries tax ni vat maintenance etc.might save a few quid on policing and stewarding but nowhere near enough. Mind bill Miller talking about a thirty million blackhole in the finances and that's when it look like spl footy was inevitable. In short they're royally fecked and if sfa licence them just to see them fold again mid season then those responsible must be held accountable
  11. Business rates tax ni gas leccy building maintenance pitch management cost of goods (ie all supplies needed for running the business which more than likely will have to be bought pro forms since they can't credit) and the wages n benefits for the hundred odd non playing staff many of whom will be qualified professionals on good tuped salaries. Mind they were losing more than a million a month with spl ticketprices full house and TV money plus same for Cl and large sponsorship deals. Owning the property incurs higher tuning costs. When I was in cinema mgemt an average twelve screen site leases not owned and thirty staff on min wage need five million a yr turnover to start thinking bout profit and that's is nowhere as complex a business as running ibrox and mp. Fwiw the people quoting running costs at twelve million a yr are probably out by a factor of three...that was their annual losses with excellent revenue streams
  12. Umm 15 -20 million from st seems unlikely when they've only sold a thousand odd reportedly...I actually think the issue of working capital is more pressing than embargoes title stripping etc...if the sfa licence them without definitive proof that they can fulfill fixtures then it will be an act of gross negligence. I know the rules re audited accounts are discretionary but this is a case where the financials should be thoroughly examined as a matter or priority.
  13. Oh I fully get your cynicism but even they can't break the basic fundamental facts of arithmetic ....they're more fecked than thon Jordan
  14. They didn't when sdm tried a share issue and when oldco had revenue from spl and Cl crowds spl and Cl TV money and big sponsorship deals no one reputable would buy them for a pound ffs. You clearly dont get the thirty million pound shortfall thing that bill Miller noticed when they were an spl side!
  15. Vglad your not my accountant that's utter knicker wetting pish! Nae offence but the rfff barely raised enough to cover one weeks payroll...
  16. I must have missed the bit where newco were magically exempted from the twenty odd million fixed costs pa including tax ni vat gas leccy water maintenance business rates cod for suppliers who want pro forms etc
  17. Hughie wasn't there he was AWOL in Europe. More significant than the ban is how blase the sfa (under Ogilvy ) are about the financials...not for second do I believe a coherent business plan exists or that a proper due diligence can be passed
  18. Transfer ban is an irrelevance they have no cash to sign anyone but it does mean they avoid suspension or expulsion...until they go bust meh big whoop!
  19. it's odd mind you that we would hear nothing at all from him when there are so many outstanding issues to be addressed. It would be hilarious if he's legged it with the last twenty quid from the bank.
  20. Has anyone heard from hughie since he went to meet uefa to try to weasel out of the footy debts...you know the meeting that uefa knew nothing about..?? Its gone awfy quiet
  21. It wasn't a real friendly just a training game so they could wear oldco kit if they wanted
  22. The 2008 ranking was a statistical anamolly based on expunging terrible vogts results and some good back to back wins against a highly rated but in decline French side..plus of boosting coefficient due to not having to qualify from first Cl rounds.your definition of a real fan sticking with club through thick n thin fits with battered wife syndrome.at some point you take a moral stand . I do hope that your definition of a good wife is nowhere near as narrow and old fashioned as your definition of a fan
  23. Because you dont approve of someone's method of expression does not negate them being fans. That's an utterly childish logic. Of course they ate fans you just disagree with them. In that we have punched above our weight historically yes we have but twenty five odd years ago we always qualified for wc and we were winning euro club tourneys. Now today the national team doesn't qualify at all and our best club teams dont get past first round. Until this summer our diddy fans allowed the status quo to hinder chances of improvement but now they have found a voice...this certainly for the best
  24. My whole point! I dont se them starting certainly not finishing season. Hell mend em no one to blame but themselves
