  1. Oh so the promised pie n bovril beer fest doesn't materialise but now you courting the gers?? That's how it is eh?
  2. Umm ok if they are gonna make tuped non playing staff redundant ...where's the cash toto pay fone the reduncancy payments?? Some of these guys will have years of service in the bag. Plus how will the business operate without these staff? Presumably most if not all are operationally vital to the infrastructure at ibrox and MP? Does this impact their safety certificate, risk assessments, insurance, health safety policies, evacuation and security procedures?? I rather think the four or five mingy bigot junior teams is on once the death becomes officil and the orchestra infighting really kicks off
  3. Insurance would be biggest obstacle! Cayou imagine a multi million pound player getting his leg broken in a friendly by mcculloch?? Noone will want to play them Just fantasy land.
  4. Interesting that doncaster who had on a couple of outlets distanced himself from spl two said he thought the PERSONAL criticism of regan was unfair ...hmm but the cynic in me sees that as well spl two was regans idea not mine and PROFESSIONAL criticism of him is Bob on
  5. Tell you what...are any other nations on the planet with two fifty thousand plus stadia in the fourth tier of the league ...how utterly bling is that? Even the Saudis will be jealous
  6. At a guess no visible businesses plan no working capital no transparency on investors and nae cash to pay oldcos football debts.
  7. Wait til the first paycheck bounces and see how many talented youngsters they have left! I still dont they have enough cash to start the season tbh and defo not enough to finish. Those youngsters are more likely to be stacking shelves at the new govan asda
  8. Doncaster distancing himself from spl two...whit?? Is that him saying it was all regans fault? Btw Jim Feck off your teams lucky to even be in fourth tier get over it.
  9. Slightly off topic bu with no of games the money we are going to save from policing NHS staff calls for domestic abuse means an independent Scotland could probably bail out the euro!
  10. Slightly off topic bu with no of games the money we are going to save from policing NHS staff calls for domestic abuse means an independent Scotland could probably bail out the euro!
  11. Rip??? Isn't that a Catholic phrase? You'll be kicked out the lodge for that young man! Anyway good day again despite some weekend panickers and lame trolls. Scottish football can behind again but now we've seen how powerful the interweb is we can really get stuck into the authorities like Andy dufresne in shawshank! Regan and doncaster must go asap. Now quick question re imminent death of newco ...am I right in saying that in order to be accepted by sfa they have to take inn oldco football debts ie transfer fees fines and tickets? Do we know how much this is? That plus the several million quid per month to run ibrox and mp makes me doubt we will even see them play...just try to think back to Feb who would have really believed?
  12. Correct ...in fact I don't think its hyperbole to claim that without this thread newco might be preparing for spl football. Whatever happens the authorities and chairmen have to accept that now fans have social media to hand they will face greater scrutiny and accountability than ever before.
  13. Glen gibbons he was one of the few journos who took mccoist to task for the sfa tribunal rant. Whilst we are all rightly unhappy at individual journos and 'columnists' sports editors are the guys who decide the agenda and slant the paper will take on a commercial basis and these anonymous gits should be taken to task too. BBC kind of got some accuracy eventually but for the most part they have been a disgrace as they unlike red tops do not have a commercial agenda so have an obligation to chase the truth. They should be ashamed that it took a commercial TV journo to do their job for them. Major reform required by BBC. I feel
  14. Whilst I generally think you correct I think you running costs figure is actually far too low.with turnover from full houses at spl and Cl ticket prices, spl and Cl TV money and sponsorship etc they were losing over a million a month even with a reduced squad. I would guess the real running costs are two to three times your figure....which is why the suits were desperate to avoid sfl three. Ah well I'm sure hughies investors will still turn a proft from the property
  15. In the years before sdm they struggled to break ten k for non of games. They've never really done loyalty in adversity as shown by the shambles of the fighting fund. Even with fifty k at twelve quid a ticket they aren't even close to running costs..that's why regan and doncaster have been lying and scheming cos they know full well sfl three kills them stone dead..happily though fan power means there is more chance of Stevie wonder finishing a Rubik's cube than regan getting his way
  16. Ah thanks that clears it up...umm no actually I'm still confused ...I thought that if you acquired more than thirty three per cent of a company you were obliged to make an offer to buy all the rest of the shares??? Feck it there's enough questions here without finding more!
  17. Maybe a daft question but that's never stopped me before ...di stefano bought shares in the rangers PLC??? Um I dont remember them being a plc? Thought. Whitey owned them? Di stefano did buy shares in the right company didn't he? Or did cw float them publicly? My head hurts now!!
  18. Nah even full houses twice a month wont cover costs certainly not at sfl three prices and frankly ill be amazed if they regularly break five thousand...first few games might attract decent attendances but the novelty of life in fourth tier will quickly fade.they'll have the same overheads they did when they had spl ticket prices Cl crowds spl prize and TV money and they were losing more than a million a month barring some players who are offski. Even that reduction wont be enough. Sfl three kills them off...tbf even sfl one probably would have to
  19. Yawn they didn't break rules they tried to exploit loopholes in the rules and failed...miserably. enough doom mongering already time to look forward to a new dawn
  20. Agree completely regan and doncaster have run out of cards to play and indeed credibility. I actually think longmuirs statement left them looking utterly isolated and no real option apart from resign
  21. calm down dear...the spl has already voted against allowing newco into the spl ad Mondays meeting is to decide if Dundee or pars become club twelve.since that meeting was arranged newco have accepted the exceedingly kind offer from the sfl to join their third tier. Longmuir confirmed this in his press conference which also made it clear that spl two is dead in the water and Indeed regans statement was an admission albeit tacitly that the die has been cast with newco in division three. There is no room for manouevre for anyone who still wants to finagle newco up the leagues...the strength of fan power has killed the momentum of such machinations stone dead.
  22. Think your right fwiw. If they couldn't win either vote spl two is an even harder sell. Regan and doncaster are like adolf and Braun in the Bunker ...time to eat some lead before the diddies over run Berlin..hampden! All that said who outside of Burger king would employ either of them??
  23. Clyde again sailing the Zeitgeist excellent again from the most surprising saviours of Scottish football. Re spl two its time for regan etc to stop trying to fight battles they can't win...fans wont have it most clubs won't and if you lost the fans you lose the sponsors. Quit while your behind! Let newco die its death resign with an atom or two of dignity and let Scottish football rebuild free of institutional prejudice. I've had enough pinot bed for me well done everyone and lets keep the wind in the sails
