This is my issue, it’s the inconsistency of messaging and the “data not dates” mantra, but maybe kind of, depends on the data. Glasgow appears to be a city that has a higher background case level than others. You can argue why that is. But now Glasgow is the only place in Scotland with a higher level of restrictions, whereas ER (which is literally connected) doesn’t have any. I’m definitely not asking for extra restrictions for ER. It has been illegal to enter someone else’s house in Glasgow since September/October now. There is hardly anyone in hospital. Hardly anyone is dieing. This is ludicrous.

It's an acknowledgement finally that smaller authorities are far more easily skewed against by relatively small numbers cases wise using the per 100k measure. The entire point of a per 100k measure is to normalise case loads against population.

Glasgow must remain in Level 3 but East Ren remains in level 2. Bit stupid. Cases are the important measure unless they’re not.

Absolutely roaring trade being done at the Glasgow south side vaccination centre this morning. Vast majority of people in the queue in their 20s and 30s.

This has annoyed me a little bit, but it’s probably just jealousy. I bought 2 tickets this year, book numbers in the 90s, the day they came out as I thought there’s a fair chance that only limited fans will get in. Think it’s a bit shite the club has used that in an attempt to shift tickets earlier in the season but when it comes to it they do a draw. Suppose I wouldn’t be complaining (as much) if I’d managed to get a ticket but such is life.

I’m getting the vaccine on Tuesday. In my 20s, no conditions. A lot of my friends are also, so it’s definitely legit.

Well that was pish.

I just received my text for a vaccine despite being in my 20s with no pre existing conditions. I do live in one of the plague postcodes in Glasgow, so looks like they’re ramping up the vaccines in those areas.

This is the first time I’ve felt properly pissed off by it all. What’s the fucking point in it all now. Vaccines doing their job with hardly anybody in hospital, cases up because we’re opening things and that’s natural, but come Monday I can’t even leave my local authority. Today I can drive anywhere I want, but come Monday it becomes literally illegal again.

This is a joke. Feel for all the businesses who have spent a fortune to prepare themselves. Better safe than sorry with the hospitals overflowing though...

May it come soon. Iv a fair bit staked in a junior mining exploration company thats sitting on a couple of high potential assets. The gold price swings them a bit even thoigh exploration is their game If it’s one of those penny stock type deals I’d generally say stay a million miles clear of them. We dealt with a lot of these places in my old job, no surprise one of our main clients went bust as they held a lot of exploration companies in Africa in their portfolios.
