  1. Official seems to suggest both are for development team.
  2. If this goes ahead you would imagine Allan will have had a fair say in it (along with the other parties). I've had a feeling, admittedly with nothing to back this up, that he won't be particularly happy with the way McCann has used him this season and his time on the bench. Scott Bain will have won a watch if he gets a move to Celtic on a bit more cash.
  3. Appreciate the board are in a tough place if Celtic have offered a fair chunk of cash for a player we got on a free only 6 months ago, however the last day of the window makes it incredibly hard to get a replacement (assuming we don't have someone lined up as talks have been going on for a while). Thought of two from O'Dea/Waddell/Julen as the centre half pairing for the weekend gives me the fear a bit. I think we would miss Hendry's commanding presence and his willingness to shout at others to get them organised.
  4. McPake had his flaws, but even for that goal as others have said he'll be remembered very fondly at Dens. Really good statement from him, a bit nicer than the usual Twitter screenshot of the notes app and good on the club keeping him on.
  5. I’d imagine you could tell by just looking at the sugar content. Can’t remember the exact numbers in Irn Bru but it’ll be substantially lower.
  6. Have to add that one to the bucket list, looks incredible!
  7. I got a pair of Taotronics cheap ish earphones and they do the job, first time I’ve ever really actively listened to music/podcasts while running and quite enjoying it. 7 miles in the rain for me tonight, felt really good. Longest run I’ve done for a fair while as well. Takes me to 20 odd miles for the year which I’m happy with considering how the weathers been on the west coast.
  8. Nice to see Jon appears to be in the photos of the training posted up on Twitter.
  9. His constant calling Chick Young “Chico” was a bit grating I thought. Much better show than usual yesterday however.
  10. I'd agree, for the vast majority of folk there's no point in buying individual stocks. Unless you're investing reasonably big sums of money the fees alone quite often mean you're needing the shares to perform well to break even.
  11. Did wonder if it would end up a case of the person who told me getting confused between Utd and Dundee as often happens with folk with little interest in football up here. Agreed with above, Dens does seem to be quite tight with regards to leaks now which is good, but frustrating for fans of course. Hopefully Jon gets tied up on a longer deal, we do have a good player on our hands there.
  12. Been told we have a player from Watford up, Brandon Mason. Seems to play left back, which I’d imagine means Spanish Jon is off. Reckon it’d be a big loss for him to leave, really come on to a game and seems to be a good player for this level.
  13. Took the plunge last night and booked a place in the Edinburgh Marathon, done a few half marathons but this will be the first time doing the full distance! Hopefully enough to keep me motivated and out over the cold winter months.
  14. What a beautiful deadline day. A striker of some form in, but most importantly Hateley has left. Assume we have @LiamDFC to thank with his tasteful marketing piece.
  15. It is essentially an extended trial then I'd image. Think it was harry94 posted somewhere about using short term contracts as a way to get round the no trialists in competitive games rules. Not sure if that was just an educated guess on his part, but could well be what's going on here.
  16. He once walked past me in the Botanics in Glasgow with his girlfriend. First thought was "what ever attracted you to professional footballer Gary Mackay-Steven then?". Punching does not do it justice. True story.
  17. No idea, this seems to be the tweet that started it all. https://twitter.com/Angry_Arab83/status/902422569432776704 ETA: how do you embed tweets, feel like a dafty here.
  18. Some Twitter rumour that Armstrong told GMS on Saturday that Scott Bain is shagging his girlfriend, and that's what led to GMS ending up in the Kelvin.
  19. Girlfriend used to stay about there, it's not too bad in terms of distance to the West End, 20-25 minutes depending on walking speed etc. if you go the Clarence Drive way etc. There's a few decent cafe/restaurant type places further up Crow Road, Wee Lochan, Kothel etc. depending on your tastes and the Hyndland Cafe is very decent for a breakfast or that, and that's Crow Road side of Clarence Drive. All in all not too bad, in terms of time I'd say.
  20. I don't get this Dobbie rumour. Not to say I wouldn't have him, but cannot see why he'd leave Queens to come to Dens and can't see us having the money to buy him and offer him good wages.
  21. Reflecting on yesterday, think that could prove to be a very good point. Played okay and created chances in the other games to come away with nothing, so a scrappy point after a not great performance could be just the thing to allow us to kick on. International break has probably come at a good time for us with injuries and allow the team to regroup and hopefully get a body in upfront.
  22. There's a few folk not happy about the timing and channel it's on and then tailed off as Cosgrove said that's not in BBC Scotland's hands.
  23. Can imagine Dens is in prime land for a cracking set of flats right enough, complete with penthouses, glass to ceiling views of the Hilltown.
