  1. 1-5 Ellie Rowsell from Wolf Alice
  2. At one point or another this season, we're going to have 3 or 4 out of Todd, McGill, Allan, Morrison, McCann etc starting because first team regulars are unavailable. It'll be frustrating I'm sure but as Shandon say, that's just the kind of situation we - and many other clubs - find ourselves in. Crawford looks to have done a good job so far with assembling a squad which has a good mix of experience, key players from the lower leagues and down south, and a promising bunch from our own set-up who, by all accounts, are learning under a decent coach in Greg Shields.
  3. Airdrie 2-2 Forfar Clyde 1-0 East Fife Dumbarton 1-2 Raith Peterhead 1-1 Falkirk Stranraer 1-3 Montrose
  4. I know I’m a bit late here but I’ve just seen the surgeon making the insurance claim. What a fucking fanny. He clearly thought he was far too smart to be caught out, or to ever be considered as anything other than a credible victim. It just strikes as complete and utter greed to make that kind of claim from the insurance when you have all that shite to flog for a decent sum of cash. Although I dare say he’d have a hard time trying to convince his family to get rid of the antiques, along with being presumably embarrassed at being in his financial position. I also feel sorry for his wife, as it appears she had nothing to do with it. They’ll now be missing his substantial salary, and 4 years’ worth of solicitor’s fees won’t have helped their money troubles either. 8 years seems steep, but I’d say he deserves every minute of that purely for that display of sheer arrogance. “I’ve been inaccurately addressed.” Fucking loser.
  5. Old Firm in a sentence. Christ, they’ve had a hard time recently as it is.
  6. Not exactly unusual for any team, but I can see our home form being miles superior to our away form by the end of the season, that open pitch suited us so much better than the open, dry pitch at Edinburgh and that’ll probably be the trend for the season.
  7. Doubt I'll go as I'm not even sure I can make the game yet but I'm looking forward to seeing what they do with it all. Their interviews, segments and editing was absolutely brilliant in that first series.
  8. I've only seen the Edinburgh City game in full, so in less he just had the fullback sussed really early on, he managed to beat him pretty easily in tight spaces a couple of times. He used the pace of the ball or the momentum of the defender and judged it really well, whilst being a bit clever in drawing a foul in the St Mirren game when we were trying to slow things down and buy a bit more time. I can see him being the easiest target when things aren't going well; he'll try a wee flick and it won't pay off every time so it'll come across very frustrating, but he also looks to have that potential to make an absolute c**t of defenders.
  9. Lewis McCann and Kyle Turner looked exciting when they came on, they should start against EK. Morrison didn’t exactly have a bad game but there was a real lack of imagination when playing out from the back, Ashcroft didn’t show much more tbh. That was the first 90 minutes I’ve seen from the 3 games, so on that showing and from what I’ve seen from the other two, we have great potential to damage teams on a quick breakaway but when it comes to attack a team sitting deeper we’re relying on poor defensive lines leaving gaps open.
  10. A finger up the AUCHTERMUCHTY
  11. Trying to think of the worst player we’ve had to have worn 1-11. I’m sure there’s a really obvious one in my head but I can’t think.
  12. I wasn't worried anyway, DAFC are on first name terms with the Compliance Officer.
  13. It probably just hasn’t been a priority for the group stage games. I haven’t looked but I’m sure both our games were 1-11 and we made 2 changes to the team last night so at least a couple may have had different numbers.
  14. I'd imagine, or at least hope, we're only going nameless for the group stage games. Unless there's some kind of deadline meaning we won't be putting names on jerseys at all.
  15. It would be extremely odd, and concerning, if Crawford binned Faiss and then brought him back in. It'd come across desperate and panicky tbh.
  16. Mental that we’ve secured a promotion playoff spot already.
  17. It’s a very typical AJ signing. Must have signed him 4 times now?
  18. Don’t be daft, those absolute weirdos are now into their consecutive year being in the third tier, takes an unreal level of diddiness to do that.
  19. Harsh to blame the youngsters who end up going to the Bigot Brothers at a young age, regardless of how obvious it is they’re not ready for it yet. Greedy agents have a lot to answer for.
  20. Three penalties in a full season is f**k all. Especially when (and I’m really sorry about this) you consider us missing three of the c***s in about 20 minutes.
  21. I really enjoy it. I like to (sometimes loosely) follow a recipe for making something for the first time, and then just pissing about with other spices and ingredients after that. I’m still wanting to master the Thai curry paste, as the ones you get out the jar are far nicer to the few attempts I’ve had at making it from scratch. She’s really good at breakfast things and makes cracking Mexican stuff like nachos, tacos and enchiladas etc.
  22. That boy is clearly taking the piss, though. His tweets have appeared on my timeline a fair bit recently and he's definitely at it.
  23. Bradford City becoming a Pars tribute act is rather hilarious.
  24. McArthur and the board have been generally very good at being open and honest with the fans, while demonstrating an empathy and understanding of what it’s like to be a fan. They’re really pushing their luck with these prices though, and decisions like that make you think they’re not quite as ‘in touch’ as we thought. Either that, or they’re just being a bit greedy and possibly even naïve about what fans will actually pay to watch us against East Kilbride in the group stage of the League Cup. I hope to see a reduction for the second home LC game, if not before then. I really hope they’re not budgeting for crowds of 1800-2300, because they might be in for a shock.
