  1. Listened to both new albums a few times by now, Noel by far superior. As Calderon says, the NGHFB lineup is quality with some genuinely very good musicians. I saw NGHFB in Aberdeen a couple of months ago and his musicians were fantastic, it was nice to see him giving them all a fair amount of credit for the performance too. My only gripe with Noel is that, whilst his song writing is fantastic, he never really seems to write about anything in particular, he just has a knack for writing some tremendous lyrics. That’s where Liam scores a brownie point over Noel; he has a bash at writing something meaningful and personal to him, even though his lyrics are awful That might seem like a bit of a snobby opinion to have, but I seem to enjoy somebody’s songwriting more of it has a personal feel to it, there might be plenty folk out there who couldn’t give a f**k if the lyrics are personal or not.
  2. Genuinely delighted to hear that we’ve got someone capable of lashing out/getting sent off in friendlies.
  3. You've just described approximately 23% of the Fife population tbf.
  4. Tbf that gif was ruined a long, long time ago by the Footy Banter Lad™ community, along with the 'Homer appearing and disappearing from a hedge' gif.
  5. As well as having shite results, we also played really shite in our friendlies last season and played players well out of position. I’m sure Nat played at the back at least once which didn’t happen in real games unless injuries/suspension forced it. I’m firmly in the “friendly results mean f**k all” camp here. I still think we’re a couple of players light, and the priority for me is a decent striker, hopefully AJ finds someone good enough.
  6. Aye, McCann has completely ruled out ever negotiating with our club right enough [emoji15]
  7. I genuinely have no idea what is remotely funny about that.
  8. It was in March. It was my first game in a few months and I was needing a football fix. I didn't want to see a football for 6 months after that Brechin game.
  9. Chewin the Fat has some fantastic sketches but there's unfortunately some shit bits in there as well.
  10. Wish folk would put their fucking phones away at gigs. Crowds at acts like the Courteeners, LG, Gerry Cinnamon look the worst for it.
  11. Since #Wedderturn is away is it time for #Williamspin?
  12. Taxi-bashing and ferret enthusiasms aside, he’s a hard-working midfielder who will get himself about. Not an awful lot of technical ability there, so you won’t ever get a dazzling, elegant display from him but he can make a nuisance of himself just as much on the pitch as he will off it. Average signing at worst, has the ability to chip in with a few goals and be a potentially good signing for League One.
  13. “Through embarrassment” Apparently you can make it up.
  14. I was taking the piss at the “Flood signing for Dunfermline instead of United = Dunfermline offering severely large sums of money” attitude that many people had when he signed for us. I don’t know what Flood was offered with us, but it would have been significantly less than 5 grand per week!
  15. Is this what they call a ‘double whoosh’? I genuinely can’t tell if you’re being serious.
  16. He was only 9 years and 355 days away from a testimonial.
  17. That would free up around £5k p/w in wages. Apparently.
  18. Chuffed for Cardle getting his A license in coaching. It would be friction burn-inducing tug material if he ever had a (successful) coaching role at Dunfermline. He fucking loves the Pars.
  19. Pretty sure he only survived the disaster of 2014/15 because he was contracted until summed 2016.
  20. I don’t have any grudges with players who do that at this level. For the vast majority of the players in the SPFL, they’re not just chasing a bigger payslip for the sake of it; it usually means a better opportunity for them and their families. Players get so much criticism for going to a new club because it appears greedy to want to be paid £85k a year rather than £40-50k, who the f**k wouldn’t take that?
