  1. I think the boy needs to be listened to, as he’s throwing some pretty serious accusations about and his comments have gained some amount of attention. However, and I don’t think he should necessarily be condemned for this, the time and place for it isn’t immediately following Motherwell’s video. There’s also every chance that SR had no idea of the impact that he/his actions could have on young footballers. Football is fucking ruthless and youngsters will be shattered and disappointed all the time when they’re told they’re not big, strong or good enough to make it. It could be that Robinson told the young lad that he needed to sharpen up a bit if he wanted to stay at Oldham/make a career out of it. The fact that we don’t know what was said between them is exactly the reason that both parties need to be listened to, or to even speak to each other, to clear up what has already turned into a pretty ugly situation.
  2. Livingston finished 12 points behind St Mirren and they’re a Premiership side now.
  3. Fantastic video on MFC's social media re suicide prevention. Your club has just gone even further up in my estimations.
  4. No point in that, he’d only be on set for a few days before hearing of a film being made abroad.
  5. Of course he should, but I'm not trying to prove a point from Hippolyte's perspective.
  6. As far as I'm aware, those found guilty of racial abuse have been either prosecuted or banned. So yes, they have been banned.
  7. I should have added that no club can *rightfully* claim a moral high-ground over another. Celtic/Liverpool fans will always try, of course. It might shock you to know that Hippolyte isn’t our first ever black/ethnic minority player. The racist scumbag(s) who abused MH didn’t do it to target the individual, he/they targeted a player of ethnic minority because that’s what racist scumbags do.
  8. I doubt there’s a single football club in the world that can claim some sort of moral high ground over another set of fans.
  9. Didn’t see much wrong with Craigen’s performance. A couple of poor deliveries but apart from that he was tidy and did his job.
  10. I’m pleased enough with that. I found the shape left us a bit vacant in wide areas at times. It’s nice to have wingbacks so high up, and whilst I think J.Longridge is capable of doing a job defensively and going forward in the same role, I think Williamson needs much more help out wide which dragged Higgy out for support, subsequently leaving a bit of a gap in the middle of midfield. I’d rather we had two fullbacks with a winger each ahead of them to support. I liked the flow of our counter attacks when Connolly and McCann came on; we put L.Longridge on the left and then Connolly and Higgy caused all sorts of problems together through the middle with Craigen playing a neat role slightly deeper. I’m happy with the new signings at first glance, Thomson was quite nippy off the ball but he wasted it so many times, hopefully that’s a one-off for him. Connolly looked like he can be a right pest, he was also good at winding up the Peterhead players towards the end so more of that please. Durnan and Devine, though relatively untested, were composed and organised enough with a classy performance from Ashcroft alongside them.
  11. Excuse the pedantry but I was seeing that as more of a 5-3-2. We went with that in the early stages of last season for friendlies but switched to a 4-4-2 soon after, hope this year is the same.
  12. I doubt it. Like CallumPar says, by January time anyone can offer a PCA, he’s usually spot on with that kind of thing.
  13. With a significant climb in quality of opposition. Faiss was still learning a lot about his own role/position when he went to Dundee. It was widely acknowledged that, although you couldn’t grudge him a shot at the Premiership after that season in League One, playing no higher than the Championship would have been a good move for him.
  14. Can’t wait to give Aird absolute pelters. It didn’t feel right supporting him.
  15. Used to like him when he was at Thistle but he didn’t look up to much in his short spell at Falkirk.
  16. Not to be a negative Nelly, but I’m not expecting much of a title challenge from us. I think AJ has done well assembling a decent squad at first glance but I have a feeling we’ll miss players like Aird, Morris, Clark and McManus at several stages of the season. 6-8 teams out of ten will be hoping to occupy the top 4 places this season, and a playoff place would still be a good achievement for us.
  17. Keatings has just come back from a horrible injury so that would be a huge gamble on someone who wouldn't exactly be on cheap wages, and I wasn't too impressed by McMullan last season.
  18. Quite interesting how Froxy has gone from being the sexiest, most skilful player in Scottish football to being a fat c**t. The players will be rusty and with several new signings coming in, a bit of incoherence is going to show. Doubt you have much to worry about tbh.
  19. It’s almost as if football fans don’t like players that play for other teams, and want them to do well when they play for their team. Good player for League One. He was useful as a winger, especially if he can form an attacking partnership with a fullback. We played him as a central midfielder a few times, and I got the impression that he felt like he could ‘dictate’ the play by holding onto the ball and distributing it all over the park, which he can do as he has great vision and ability to pick a pass, but he can be overrun by bigger, nastier boys. He’s quite a tricky wee player as well, so his slight lack of pace is excused by sharp turns and clever movements.
  20. That is a genuinely bizarre signing for a top 6 Premiership team. If Steve Clarke can turn him into competent top 6 player then he really is the genius he’s made out to be. Good luck to Ross though.
  21. Is Faiss’ contract up this time next year? He’s thanking Dundee and wishing them all the best for the future in his Instagram story. I think it needs to be said that nobody is expecting anything near he goalscoring record that he had in League One. I can see opposition fans pouncing on this thread like flies to shite when Faiss doesn’t score a hat trick within his first 4 games. I’m really excited for him to be here again, but realistically I don’t think he’ll do much better than Clark when it comes to his goalscoring record in the Championship.
  22. Even describing it as an ‘average’ career is flattering. Genuinely looks like Nat.
  23. I vaguely remember being told that they did actually go. It was a good excuse to film whilst Greg Hemphill could visit family, isn’t it GH’s brother acting as tour guide in the CN tower? That all could be complete and utter bollocks tbf. Could be any stadium that is half the size of Firhill IMO. “BZZZZZ. JARVIS. CRAIGLANG. LEG.” Probably in the top 10 episodes that.
