Poor first half from Hearts again, our obvious plan was to force Aberdeen long but they didn't need any encouragement.
That's 4 times I watched Aberdeen this season and I've no idea how miovski has so many goals given the horrendous tactics.
I've not seen the replays but Willie Miller was greetin about the trip being unintentional like it matters. He tripped him. Brass neck complaining about var on aggregate this week.
Second half Hearts picked up and deserved the three points for me.

Watched this last night, not similar in style but reminded me of Hearts under Stendal.
Right ideas but without the players to play the system. He needs to be more pragmatic until he gets the right guys in , if he doesn't I don't think he will survive finishing 7/8th in this league.

Thought Hearts started well enough, plenty possession but Dundee stopped us creating many or any clear cut chances.
On the break Dundee looked pretty slick first half and we struggled with the big lad up front and Boateng. McCowan was a pain in the arse too.
Second half was one way traffic and we probably deserved it in the end. Tait was excellent, and the Hoff actually trying to forward made a difference. Lembisika is great at getting a yard and getting the ball over, rest of his play is similar to Atkinson.
Thought the penalty was one, defender is daft. Dundee's one ass miles outside.
Big win that.
Halkett never got booked iirc

Much better from us, played it ob the deck
if that's you lot playing on the deck I'd hate to see your long ball games.
Thought Hearts were awful first half, barely strung three passes together. Pitch is shite and livvy are a horrible team.
Their budget is tiny etc so I don't blame them but it's a tough watch. Constantly holding and pulling etc.
Ground out a result so I'll take it.

All these diddies slagging the derby for quality must be watching their own teams play champagne football

Surely Dundee are responsible here, if there's any doubt at all they should be getting the pitch checked just in case.
That goalmouth would obviously be a cause for concern so they should've worked on it and considered advising the league.

All we deserved, how he left beni on the park I don't know.

That's been coming second half, started so slow.

That was an embarrassment.
At one point we had the back 5 almost in a line. The 3 cms and the 2 strikers were in a line on the halfway line. Gartenmann was closed down and had nothing. That's coached.
What's the point of a back 5 if three passes cut you open?
At Tynecastle you played similar but the full backs tucked in. Really strange tactically is Robson.
Halfway to a good result. Hayes is still decent when he gets forward, that aside it's like Aberdeen are hoping for a lucky break. Miovski dropping so deep.
Hearts have played a really good game defensively and had some decent passing spells, disconnect between midfield and up front still. No one seems to run beyond so we turn back albeit we've been decent at recycling and going again.

Aberdeen shamelessly stealing the famous Tynecastle chant of "fucking boo".

Not based on anything I've seen, mate.
Similar to us last year, you don't have the squad for both was my thinking.

I only watch highlights and Aberdeen created enough to win at hibs.
I think when they've got Europe out the way their results will kick on.
Hearts are actually relatively solid defensively but not scoring as much as we should.
I'd take a draw as our record up there us honking.

Much like every Rangers/Celtic fan who comes away with this bollocks, we dont play like this every week.
We're down probably our 3 best players, are near the bottom of the league, and the players desperately need confidence. Anyone who expects us to turn up and play like Barca is a moron.
So my first post is fine then.
You're losing and still have 11 men in your own half with no attempt to press. If you were playing the OF fair enough but this Hearts team aren't worthy of sitting so defensively!
It's just fucking boring. You might be happy enough with it given your circumstances. It's torture to watch though.

Aye, Hearts passing it around defence then just firing shots in from any angle has been a riveting watch too.
An absolute waste of attacking talent.
You've 11 men in your own third like you are playing Real Madrid. I'm well aware Hearts are shite btw but you watch this every week and enjoy it?

St Johnstone are a pleasing team to watch...

I didn’t think it was a pen. Yeah, Casey’s foot was high but the contact came when he was pulling out/his foot was on the way down. It was a slight graze on Boyce’s chest who was already on the way down anyway.
You wouldn't be screaming for that at the other end?
A graze on his chest with a boot...

For me that's a penalty, its not a huge amount of contact but he's kicked him in the chest.
So if it'd not a penalty its then high feet surely? And if its neither then its a dive by Boyce so it's a yellow for diving?
Anyway, Motherwell look a team in big trouble at the moment, shaky at the back especially at set pieces. Hopefully balls forward and arguing with each other.
No doubt they'll turn into 1970 Brazil now...

We should have won it when Newell was clean through or when Youan overcooked his pass to Boyle when 2 on 2. Not as if we just launched it and hoped for the best.
Hertz has most possession as you would expect from a home team with more midfielders. We have much better attackers.
I felt we got our tactics and line up wrong and we looked like rabbits in headlights and lacked composure on the ball a lot of the time. Hertz played very well after the 1st 15 mins until half time. They fluked a second then shat the bed completely. Reminded me of the subs Robbie replay made in the cup 2-2.
A draw was a fair result. Both teams could have won. Our manager has a lot of good grace and can make excuses he's just inherited this squad from a complete joker. Nai-derbywins not so much. Guntos must be absolutely raging.
Anyway have a good night all. Some decent posters on both sides so f**k getting involved in the immediate aftermath shitefest.
You could've won it, I felt Hearts had plenty opportunities to aswell. I think your right NM got his tactics wrong and Hearts we were well on top.
I never said you guys just launched it, you went for it and it paid off. From our point of view its two horrendous bits of defending.
I think Hearts deserved more than a draw tbh but its all opinions. Hibs fans will be happy with the result but performance wise i dont think they particularly will not that it matters.

Performance wised I'm happy enough with that, thought we were the better team throughout.
Sibbick was good at RB and done well against Boyle, Kingsley going off and having him CH was where it went a bit wrong.
Hibs have snatched a draw, tbh to them they chucked 4 up front at times and rolled the dice, two absolute brain farts defensively gifting them a point.

Not confident for this one, predicted hibs to finish third as they have a really good forward line.
Our midfield has been honking so far and we've no pace up front.
That said its a derby and I've seen worse Hearts teams beat better hibs teams.

Although fans are vulnerable to overreacting, I think they’re pretty perceptive as to what’s going on in front of them.
When we went 2-0 down in hacken with 20 minutes to go, I still felt it was there for us. 1-0 down with 70 minutes to go on Saturday and I knew deep down we were done.
At 1-0 down you are always still in it, I think the lack of reaction to the second goal tells you a lot.
I'm still a bit bemused by Aberdeens tactics tbh. I think they tried to target Rowles but he played well, our CM has been an issue for us but they helped us by launching it over them all game.
Clarkson looked decent on the ball but was so deep. Shinnie couldn't be arsed by the looks of him.

I wasn't expecting a lot of quality today and the first half proved me right.
I knew Hearts were shite but f**k me Aberdeen were so bad.
From the off I thought they just played it long, every time the keeper got it. I assume they were trying to put Rowles under pressure but he actually had a good game. Weirdly Hearts responded in kind and despite playing the long ball themselves Aberdeen were extremely shaky at the back anytime we got near.
Second half Hearts were much better with the subs all doing well when they came on. Devlin was like a man possessed and Vargas is a quality player. Forest and the hoff done well.
Who's the black guy Right midfield for Aberdeen? He's won a watch getting a contract!
Ref watch....
Despite others disagreeing I don't think chance got much wrong first half. I thought Haring fouled on the edge of the box for a second yellow but he played on. Duk was deffo fouled and he gave a goal kick!!
I liked the swapped throw as he was stealing 25 yards easy!

I thinks Hearts played some decent football without getting out of second gear today. Vargas looks a really clever player and Offiah was better than I thought he'd be.
We just have better players than Thistle, I thought they tried to play decent football even though they sat in. No once up front and probably nit aggressive enough but I think you'll do well this year.

Hearts are falling apart again....
Another great game between the two teams, Dundee need to stop trying to defend leads and keep going.
