Yeah, realises after I’d typed it someone would crack that joke. Just left it up anyway so I could take a mental note of who the top bantz posters are.
Back on topic though, McNty is a pretty dis likeable character for some reason, but I can’t remember any specifics.
Stamped on a Hearts player while playing for hibs, celtic fan. Enough said.

Good thread.
I would hope third is now put to bed. I think Hearts have been more consistent without being particularly good this year. The group from 4th-10th is pretty tight Aberdeen need a lot of work but I think Goodwin is a good appointment.

Having watched the penalty shout a few times, I can only assume the ref thought the lad ran into Woodburns path deliberately rather than to the ball. I'd be wanting a pen for it if it was hearts.

Bit of a non story. Young boys being dicks.
I think RP probably needs to think about who he's hanging about with a bit to avoid unwanted attention. Being in Woodburn miners until the early hours probably isn't great for him either. I get he's 22/23 but at the same time he is a professional athlete and if he wants to play at a higher level probably could do with patching some nights out.

Just in case you didn't notice, it was actually Livi who came closest to scoring during the game.
You parked the bus and played for penalties, it nearly worked.
The better team won, albeit we were less than impressive.

Where was the luck? Happy to be proven wrong but I think the term you're looking for is "good defending"
Good defending when you let the other team have 18 shots?
The other poster suggests livi were unlucky, my main point was they weren't.

I definitely think Neilson, the Hearts players and fans will reference Pittman’s shot coming off the post as lucky (I’ll provide quote if I see it). I think our ‘keeper had a quiet day.
And generally when the other team has 18 shots and 15 corners or so you've used a bit of luck not to concede.

Ach, better decision by Anderson and a wee bit of luck with Pittman’s shot and we could be still be in the cup. Didn’t get a chance to see if Montano’s ‘goal’ was offside. Disappointing outcome.
Think you had your bit of luck getting as far as penalties tbh.

What happened?

Better team won in the end. Motherwell look a bit toothless without Watt.
It was disjointed at times but then with Wednesdays injuries and a bit of rotation was always going to be. Simms looks the business and Beni is unreal, his awareness is so good.

I really find Hearts fans obsession with child abuse quite strange. I saw them play Stirling Albion years ago and heard a whole stand belting out BJK which I thought they only really sung when they played us but I was wrong. Strange people. Add in the ‘get battered’ bantz which I thought no one north of the border would ever sing and you pretty much have the most pathetic fans in Scotland.
ETA - just watching highlights now, did they also boo Celtic players taking the knee?
Never heard them sung outside celtic games tbh. Agreed its a bit strange either way although I'm not sure celtic fans would win a tit for tat about song content tbh

I find it strange to be that bothered about randoms on twitter that you would be happy to see your club miss out on a thousand paying customers at what I assume is 30 odd pound a pop.
How many tickets did celtic give hearts for the cup game at parkhead? Thousands of empty seats there.
We are about 5/600 sales to go which means more Hearts fans are in the stadium than would be if we gave celtic the whole stand.

The 1 upfront worked against previous sides in the Scottish cup but not today Boylan needed help up there
I think with Hearts playing 3 at the back and both Smith and Kingsley comfortable carrying in the ball it made it hard for your wingers to support boylan. Our wing backs pushed on it pinned them. Robbie done his homework and should the competition the respect it deserves put a full team out.

As cup ties against lesser opposition go that was the perfect performance from Hearts. These games don't often the way it should go on paper.
Officials were terrible, we should've had another 3 by half time really. Recycled the ball really well and never let Talbot out.
Not many positives for talbot really.

Officials doing their best to even it up!

I saw an Instagram post loosely linking us with GMS, Is he not playing with you? Has he been any good? The only thing I could think of was him wanting to be closer to Thurso where he’s from
He's playing pretty regularly so I doubt he'd be leaving. He hasn't shown enough end product, clearly a talented footballer but needs to do more. RN obviously rates him and with walker leaving I can't see gms going anywhere anytime soon.

Since we only have Cillian Sheridan tied up for next season and we'll be needing strikers... Kane Hemmings will be available on a PCA.
Not been getting played as the main striker under Hasselbaink at Burton although still getting plenty of minutes. This will be his first season in 4 year since he's not hit double figures in the league for his side.
Has all the qualities we need. Can hold the ball up, link others into play and score goals. Maybe that 2 year rest at home in Burton has reinvigorated him?
I managed to take in a Burton game this season, Hemmings started on the bench and came on and looked like Burton best player. Seems a big fan favourite. Hasslebaink I thought would play nice football but it was very much route one. Standard overall wasn't good.

Not sure Hearts are a stick on yet. See what window they have but looks like we are going to push after them under Maloney. They were lucky to beat Ross County on Sunday.
Hibs beat Dundee United B team ffs

Interesting that Griffiths is the one you name check...
I suppose because the chances of him getting a booking against hearts are higher than normal!
Plus his booking appeared to be for dissent after numerous fouls!

I'll reply by basically quoting my last comment. It's all fine and well identifying people involved and the patterns generated, but unless you literally have a text that says, "Put some money on bookings and I'll make sure you win" then you need to look at the action on the pitch.
You mention Griffiths, but he considering his current situation, I'm not sure you could gauge his response with the sort of clarity you would another player. The same goes with Colum, we've seen him be inconsistent, so whether he books players or not, and is motivated by whatever reason, is also difficult to determine with clarity.
I said it already, this is the sort of thing that happens when your team is on a bad run. A death by a 1000 cuts and all that. I'm not sure there is all that much to it, simply because it seems like it would be too easy to spot, but I've been wrong in the past and I'd not be overly surprised if someone has been an idiot.
If a player wants booked he can do it without it being a blatant lunge etc, it doesn't necessarily have to look obvious.
I think it's a strange point to argue and almost certainly WC won't be the focus of the investigation. Only the bookies will know normal bets taken on Griffiths etc getting booked so if its way over that then it's obviously suspicious.

That's never a booking btw.
It's the most obvious booking of the lot!

Bottom five looks tighter than I thought.
If Cummings is missing (kind of asking for trouble signing him) and Sheridan is out does that leave Griffiths the only striker?
Hearts should win this but said the same at Tynecastle.

Wasn't he found not guilty of the religious prejudice part of the charges brought against him because he was a practicing catholic?
I think they went all out for the sectarian angle instead of assault as it carried a harsher sentence but couldn't prove it, so it was thrown out. I'd be massively surprised if he's a practising Catholic, think he enjoyed the party tunes in section N.
