Well we all knew it wouldn't be a thriller.
Hearts seemed clueless how to break Killie down. No worth or urgency at all.
Thought killie all knew and stuck to theor jobs well. Utter shite to watch but they are there to win points not make friends. Don't think either keeper made a save.
Ref watch, I thought Shankland was lucky to stay on the park. Possibly being captain bought him an extra warning. I did however feel we got punished for fouls that weren't being given the other way. The one on Denhilm I'd like to see again.

Lowry was brilliant yesterday when he came on, always looking to create something.

I think that game may have started without VAR then had it reinstated later which is weird. The east stand linesman was very quick with a flag early on against Ballantyne in a good position (which looked a terrible call because Kingsley had dropped miles deeper than anyone else) when you’d normally see them let the move run it’s course before flagging. That assistant had a shocker all in.
Saints were several notches above a total capitulation which is I think what most expected. Mitov was excellent and you know what a difference a competent goalkeeper can make to a poor to average team in this league.
.
I said the same at the time, the lino flagged so fast when they normally pointlessly let the striker chase balls to flag once ether get there etc.
And I thought your keeper looked excellent.

I thought Hearts were pedestrian first half, the middle three never moved/passed or created anything. I thought the boy should've seen red for his challenge on Kent.
I think st Johnstone were right up for it after recent results, I thought the ref was pretty lenient tbh. I thought they were overly physical first half but maybe that's how they'll have to play with the players they have.
Second half lowry changed the game for me. Much more creativity. Lots of work for whoever our manager is to do still.

Subs: McGovern, Sibbick, Halliday, Nieuwenhof, Smith, Beni, Lowry, Tagawa, Forrest.
A punt at how we'll line up tomorrow. That bench starting to look much healthier with McKay and Vargas to be added as options soon.
Grant.....
I reckon he will throw Lowry straight in. Grant really isn't my cup of tea. He'd be good at fives, liability at elevens and especially if any graft is involved.

I'm planning on driving tomorrow, it's usually a bit of a shitshow trying to get away from the ground.
Looking at the map if I head away up Newhouse Road then join the motorway at broxden roundabout will that save me the scrum for the slip road by tesco?

Having watched Hearts in pre season at Dunfermline and v Leeds I'm still none the wiser how Naismith wants to play apart from the fb tucking into midfield in possession.
We haven't looked like creating a great deal in those games either. I predict a sluggish start and a shite 1-1 draw.

Did you guys have a full team out?

Just bought our groups ticket for the season opener, have to say St Johnstone have a brilliant pricing structure.
Family tickets in main stand and free u12 behind the goals etc. No admin fees, tickets via email etc.
Something you guys get spot on

Honestly, walking out of Tynecastle yesterday from the home end, you'd have thought they had won the league.
Walking round the away end you'd of thought you were just robbed and there's a central belt var conspiracy against them.

I'll go against the grain and say that I thought Morris looked lively but Miovski was woeful.
I went into the home end, and an older gentleman just along from me left during the first half with blood all over his face. He was sat in the corner of the Main Stand where their ultras stand. I'm not sure if was a Dandy.
I'm not being critical, if you sit in the home end then it's at your own risk but I would like to know if indeed he was an Aberdeen fan?
He was a Hearts fan, he took a battering from at least two young boys. All went mental for a minute or so, not 100% what caused the argument.

Hearts had a decent go but the video assistant republican has ruined the game.
Ref got it right first time round.

I think he dealt with it well tbh, it's not like he's gonna come out and say he's a w**k and disrupted the dressing room.
Whether Snodgrass did or not he is suspended for 2 games and has a few games left on his contract so no brained who is leaving.
I'm not sure they are pals tbh, someone posted RS wouldn't of played under Naismith anyway.
Anyway unlike a hubby to spot the negative in a Hearts context, he appears to want away from the safe, rigid boring football we've been watching.

Naismith has put out a couple of encouraging interviews so it'll be interesting if we play with a bit more freedom.
I thought hibs were the better team for the first 60 minutes last time without worrying us hugely. Think it'll be whichever shite midfield is less shite that will win this.

The Haymarket bar itself does food and is usually a mix of fans with no bother. Kids have to be in the restaurant bit rather than the main bar, but not sure that's an issue if eating anyway. Platform 5 allows kids as well, but will be busy for the football so would need to get there early. If you're happy to go a bit closer to Tynie Pizzeria 1926 is good.
Is 1926 not shut?
Anyway, Hearts have been so shite recently. Zero bollocks on the ball and no aggression off it last week, big game for Neilson. Saints win imo and the loudest boos ever heard.

Best place for parking? I'm coming from craig tara direction.
This is a really big game for us, if we don't win then the third place race is blown right open.

They've been this jammy against us for decades if it helps.
Decades of being lucky = Hibs are just shite, have been for decades.

Shite game, Hearts going long I assume to avoid trying to play on the shocker of a pitch.
Livi the better team slightly I'd say but Shankland and Oda having the best chances.

Livi are a pain in the arse to play against and I mean that as a compliment, they actually play some decent stuff at times aswell.
I wonder if we will change it up a bit, we've been having success with the formation recently but the way livi will shut us down might cause us problems with the way we play out from the back.

I thought Hearts were poor in possession until the subs, don't think we got going at all.
Defensively we were solid and hibs didn't feel like they were going to score despite them being the better team.
Nisbet I think is a good player but was never going to get the space he got against Motherwell and united today. We defended the box well today.
Hibs fans will be unhappy with the result but their team put in a shift, they just lack quality. Porteous away, bushiri injured and Nisbet being touted for a move suggests anothersquad revamp needed, not sure LJ is who id have doing it.

I'm confident, our team is in good shape and we are finding the back of the net. Hibs will have a somewhat makeshift midfield aswell.
I thought Mcgeady looked sharp at Tynecastle second half and Youan I think is a hood player but my hibs matesaren't keen. Nisbet is in fine form, he's the worry I suppose.

Just watched the sky highlights didn't even show the handball.

A team that gets by on sly niggly fouls, diving and time wasting with a hostile crowd used to influence refereeing decisions. Hearts get the breaks, but they're god awful to watch.
supports a team with Martin Boyle and Ryan Porteous!
Hearts are decent to watch , I have watched plenty worse hearts teams.

There was one on Boyce aswell but I'm not even sure the guy got booked as the ref played advantage.
I did think the ref was poor tbh. Not the reason for the result though. Haring had his shirt pulled over his head at a corner ffs
