From what I've read he seems like a replacement for Jack, thought he was sorely missed early last season to provide the defence with an easy out-ball. Has anyone else read the Modern Fitba piece on last seasons tactics? With what sounds like a shuttler type midfielder hopefully Shinnie's energy can be used further up the park, also a few times early in the season McLean seemed to be caught out when he came deep either taking too much time or playing an overly ambitious pass.

Rooney was a decent goal scorer but always seemed to need a lot of chances. Which was fine when both McGinn and Hayes were pinging in balls constantly but with GMS & Stewart who'd both rather cut in and shoot he didn't look anything like as threatening. If we're huffing and puffing away at 0-0 with 15 to go I'd rather have Miller on the bench as an option than any of our strikers...

Fairly sure our league is a little more technical and less physical than League One. So I'd imagine it will suit, unless he's one to go missing after a couple of kicks to the shin. 25YO on a 3yr deal that we may have even paid a fee for, been a long while since we've had one of those.

Think he'd be a decent replacement for Christie, but wonder if he's got a bit of Tansey about him: something shiney surrounded by shite who happens to have good games against us.
