Jute has confirmed that Downfield are the 16th club in the North Division, making 3 x 16 clubs.
However there are still only 15 listed clubs in the South Division (see above) ?
There's only 47 teams in the East region once Dunbar and Craigroyston leave hence the 16-16-15 leagues.

I believe that the East Region have now committed to having a full fixture list up to Xmas in place before the end of June.

Newtongrange to Tweedmouth 1 hr 10 mins to forfar 1 hr 40 mins . 45 mins to Camelon tonight so don' get how they' have more travelling I eosfl
I was talking about the SPFL. I am aware that very few clubs will ever grace the national leagues but it should be the dream for all teams in the pyramid.
Can I just clarify that I personally would like to see an all in pyramid system. However if clubs are moving to the EOS league I want them to do it because they want to better themselves, whether that is through obtaining their licence, improving facilities or moving up the leagues not just because it will reduce their trips across the Queensferry Crossing.

It looks like Newtongrange and Penicuik will be travelling next season to:
Dundonald, Lochee, Broughty, Sauchie, Carnoustie, Jeanfield, Kennoway, Forfar, Tayport and Thornton.
And possibly Glenrothes or Downfield if Linlithgow leave.
See my previous post. If Newtongrange or Penicuik move to the EOS and are really successful they will be travelling much further than Tayside!!

Tier 5 - Highland League, Lowland League East, Lowland League West.
Tier 6. - North and South regional leagues below LLE and LLW.
HL to have East and West regions below that.
Tier 7 - you can have further regional sections below tier 6 if required. Why do we need to further regionalise the LL? Especially when the winners will be playing off for the right to play in a national league.
If Fraserburgh can go to Fort William and Cove can travel to Wick then there shouldn't be a problem with Beith travelling to Spartans or Kelty going to Hurlford.
If one thing really annoys me in the juniors it is this obsession with having to travel.

Forget all about Pyramids as they upset you. Enjoy the Cup Final.
Re last nights East Region meeting, was any mention made of what would happen if there are further resignations or was it head in sand stuff?
It's difficult to plan for further resignations until you know who's going.

The plan is to try and implement an east/west super league from season 19/20 at tier 6.
If that goes ahead then there wouldn't be relegation from the super league next season.

What talk is that along lines of?
Anniston have sold their ground for housing and will be moving into a new ground with an artificial pitch the season after next.

Didn't Arniston have a meeting before the EoS application deadline to discuss joining? Wonder if they might change their mind now they know who is joining. I was going to say they would have less travel in the EoS but they've had Kirriemuir, Downfield and Tayport this season - and staying Junior would see them go down to the South division anyway.
There was no mention at all from Arniston about moving to the EOS on Saturday. All the talk was about their new ground.

I've literally just read it but It's not on the Sun website.
He makes a lot of sense.

For me amalgamating the North and South and running a 16-16-17 set up would be the best.
The alternatives would be a 12-12 super and premier with the other 25 split between north and south. The problem with that is two teams being relegated from the super without expecting it not to mention going back to a 22 game season.
Or a 16 team super with two regional leagues of 17 and 16 teams which is the worst option for me.

What was the result of your meeting on Saturday morning?
Is your application to the EOS league still in place?

None of it is pointless, we all have a fairly accurate idea of who has applied, and 7 clubs have confirmed. Speculation and debate is what a forum is all about, you're never going to find only hard facts.
If Dundonald withdraw, more fool them, but we'll find out list of applicants soon.
I actually posted that over a week ago and for some reason I managed to do it again so apologies.
I hope the Dundonald news isn't true. Another case of Project Fear working.

Posted that again in error.
Word today is that Dundonald may have withdrawn their application.
The sooner we get to Thursday night the better.

Question for the East teams Faithfull followers, what teams have actually left the juniors and who are leaving at the end of the season?
Thanks in Advance
No one appears to be prepared to divulge this information so supporters as always are left in the dark.
There is plenty of speculation about who's involved(not aĺl of it accurate) so it seems like we'll have to wait until some time after the EOS EGM on the 26th to actually find out what's happening.
In the meantime page after page of this thread is filled with pointless discussion over possible set ups in two seasons time rather than discussing the current developments which are surely of more importance.

Funnily enough I heard tonight that Sauchie had applied but as they've never been mentioned before I just thought it was more of the speculation that surrounds this topic.
At least we'll find out a week tomorrow. Or will we?

OK, assuming everyone follows through with their applications, could this be close to the final list? 15 in total, 14 for next season;
Bathgate Thistle, Blackburn United, Bonnyrigg Rose, Camelon, Clydebank (deferred to 2019/20), Crossgates Primrose, Dalkeith Thistle, Dundonald Bluebell, Dunipace, Easthouses Lily, Edinburgh United, Haddington Athletic, Hill of Beath, Inverkeithing Hillfield Swifts, Musselburgh Athletic.
I thought Tranent had applied and more from the South. Craigroyston?

I believe that Haddington's representative at the recent East Region meeting stated that they had applied and my information is that Dundonald have as well but Bathgate is a completely new addition to the list.

3 divisions in the east region next season ?
Superleague, South and North or will it be the same set up with reduced numbers
I believe a step back to that set up is being considered. So from a premier league in which every team was capable of beating each other(Kirrie v Mussy) we'll be going to a regional league where the bottom teams will be conceding over a hundred goals.
The only thing I can hope is that the decision is made as soon as possible after the 26th so that teams and their supporters will know if they are actually playing for anything this season.

If some clubs want to keep their intentions private until the EoS EGM then you have to respect that.
Discussions over where things are in two seasons time are hardly pointless in the context of the thread and remember nobody has actually resigned from the SJFA yet. The SJFA themselves cannot even tell you what is going to happen.
Surely the first people clubs should tell are their supporters and sponsors. Preferably before it's a done deal.

Good misquote...... "their CUB never applied". Or were you referring to Bo'ness as being "their CUB" ?
Seriously though, is there likely to be much, if any feedback, from tonight's meeting ?
I asked the same question last night but no answer. I appreciate that the EOS might not accept all this year's applicants but there has been so much speculation about the clubs involved that it would be great if we could see a definitive list of who has applied.

Craigroyston and Dunbar were not at last night's meeting and weren't included in the new league set up for next season which tells you all you need to know about the prospects for their applications.
