If some clubs want to keep their intentions private until the EoS EGM then you have to respect that.

Discussions over where things are in two seasons time are hardly pointless in the context of the thread and remember nobody has actually resigned from the SJFA yet.  The SJFA themselves cannot even tell you what is going to happen.

Surely the first people clubs should tell are their supporters and sponsors. Preferably before it's a done deal.

Question for the East teams Faithfull followers, what teams have actually left the juniors and who are leaving at the end of the season?

    Thanks in Advance

No one appears to be prepared to divulge this information so supporters as always are left in the dark.

There is plenty of speculation about who's involved(not aĺl of it accurate) so it seems like we'll have to wait until some time after the EOS EGM on the 26th to actually find out what's happening.

In the meantime page after page of this thread is filled with pointless discussion over possible set ups in two seasons time rather than discussing the current developments which are surely of more importance.

Good misquote...... "their CUB never applied".   Or were you referring to Bo'ness as being "their CUB" ?

Seriously though, is there likely to be much, if any feedback, from tonight's meeting ?

I asked the same question last night but no answer. I appreciate that the EOS might not accept all this year's applicants but there has been so much speculation about the clubs involved that it would be great if we could see a definitive list of who has applied.

There can't be two leagues in the east, can there?

That's what Tom Johnston wants. The juniors to be separate but still in the pyramid.

Does anyone know someone who is going to the EOS meeting tomorrow night? It would be great if we could finally see a definitive list of those clubs who have applied to join.

A lot of rumours floating around so impossible to tell unless someone knows the applicants for certain, Hill of Beath, Dundonald, Crossgates, Haddington and Easthouses have all announced nothing so far and the amateurs names mentioned seem to be guesses unless I am missing something?

I had heard that St Andrews have definitely applied.

    Definitely not.

  6. I would expect TJ to try and talk clubs out of leaving.

It would be nice  if someone could ask John Reilly if the east region  will work on the structure for next season now so that clubs will know how many sides  will be promoted/relegated this year before the season ends.

Thing is, as things stand it makes perfect sense for Kelty to have done it; there are a set of local conditions which make this pathway ideal for them, as two miles down the road from them there is an SPFL club in seemingly terminal decline who Kelty’s long game I imagine is to replace. They might never be the oft-quoted “new Ross County” but they can certainly be the new Cowdenbeath – who if they lose their SPFL status as seems a matter of time it’s difficult to see a way back for.

On the downside, Kelty have got to spend at least one season – the presence of LTHV seems to be the only stumbling block – ritually humping the likes of Eyemouth/Tweedmouth and pretending it’s a step up from what they were used to.

For a West club looking to do similar, the pathway is more problematic – a season (at least) in the SoS making 200+ mile round trips to every away game to play in front of 20-30 people with zero income from visiting fans in the return fixture. The big pay-off - apart from Scottish Cup entry of course - is the chance to continue making slightly less arduous trips to the likes of Selkirk and Innerleithen to play in front of 40-50 people, again with virtually zero income from visiting fans in the return fixture.

Yeah, the pyramid is a good idea however I don’t see many clubs wishing to sacrifice themselves on the altar of an idea. The geography of the setup as it currently exists would make it financially – maybe also logistically – impractical for most West teams to countenance…Threave, who I believe were one of the initial LL movers and shakers have already retreated back to the SoS league with their tails between their legs for much those reasons.

If all junior clubs were part of the pyramid then you would have plenty of local games and much less travel.

  8. I didn't want to go into this thread until after LOD finished as I'm obsessive about not knowing what happens in my favourite TV programmes until I watch them.

I had expected this series to be a completely new story so I was delighted when Lindsay Denton reappeared. I can't ever remember a TV character who could have you sympathising with her one moment and wishing she was banged up for life the next. If Keeley Hawes doesn't get a Bafta this time round something's far wrong.

I would agree about the ending being implausible but many dramas and films have this problem. I also agree with the praise for the interviews. They were every bit as good as Denton's in the last series.

All in all just fantastic and definitely in my top half dozen dramas of all time(true Detective series 1 in there as well dogmc).
