  1. Take the £1.6 million and smash the whole lot on GameStop stocks. Easy.
  2. I'm no financial expert but I'd suggest there's more to getting this loan than simply "hit this button for phreeeeeeee moneyyyyyyyy". Like if it's to cover operating costs to keep folk in a job, fine. If you take £1.6 million and the following day you're breaking ground on your new training facility it's probably a bad look.
  3. See if he can nutmeg a couple of folk and do loads of stepovers, we'll treasure him even if his end product winds up somewhere in Carluke. Christ I miss Gboly.
  4. Training must be some laugh. Hunners of absolutely rapid players belting it into the car park for a couple of hours.
  5. Was out for my government sanctioned walk earlier and caught a sneak preview:
  6. I'll catch up on the podcast tomorrow morning to break up the monotony of Zoom calls but I've got the gist of what was said. I don't blame him for bailing. He was becoming like a Lanarkshire version of Sisyphis having to endlessly rebuild the squad with an ever diminishing budget. On the Foley thing, I don't think anyone is going to be salivating at the thought of a 34 year old midfielder but I suppose he gives us a bit more in there. Also might free up O'Hara to play at centre back more often.
  7. This has struck me for a lot of this season. Crawford is fine to have in the squad. But signing like a 5th choice Livingston player to play ahead of Maguire who could arguably have done the same job all season is a weird one. Also if we'd brought Maguire on instead of Cornelius at Tanadice I reckon we'd have been much more likely to get away with 3 points there.
  8. I think this is being pretty unfair on Watt. Last night's shot was half blocked by a defender and hitting the target was the priority. How many times do we see a ball cut back like that and the shot ending up disappearing into orbit?
  9. As hilarious as Straker Day was I would be fine if we didn't repeat that experience. This is probably the hardest transfer window in history since players won't necessarily want to move a great distance and everyone in the bottom 8 in the league is probably fishing in the same very small, very shallow pond. If we are going to bring anyone in I'd be wanting someone who's going to be starting most games rather than a Nathan Thomas/Wes Fletcher/Casper Sloth missing person.
  10. I reckon if Crawford leaves I'd probably be fine seeing Maguire get a reasonable run in the team. I thought it was good last night and seems to be able to shift the ball around the pitch better than Crawford can. Would still like to see a centre back in, though. Bringing on Lamie last night gave me the utter fear. McGinlay is probably a decent enough player but hasn't settled. And I can understand that since moving up here by yourself mid pandemic is probably a fairly shit thing to do.
  11. Realised I was attempting to rip the piss here but big, bad Barry Maguire turned out to be a two-footed set piece taking maestro tonight. Coming up next week, Dean Cornelius thinks he's the second coming of Xavi Hernandez.
  12. The leap for that goal was like watching the 267 bus hoisting itself up in the air. Majestic.
