One can hope. As has been said already, defensively we were a shambles at times. I'm not really sure I want to go in to next season with the same options at the back and in midfield. This seems like a pretty clean break for Donnelly to leave, I'd be fine with Lamie moving on and then see if we can get a competent back 3 together.

I can see Donnelly sticking around but I'd be happier if he just quietly left now. He had that wild purple patch where he scored a load of goals but Slattery is like the upgraded version of him in every way. Thanks for coming, Liam. On yer way now.

I reckon that's mostly fair from @Alanos. I'll be keen to see what Sol looks like after a rest and an actual pre-season. Alexander turned Bevis into a serviceable defender and I'd say Sol looks like he's starting from a higher level than him.

It's almost like a 3-4-1-2 type of thing and it definitely seems to be more suitable to our squad. Ojala cannae run so put him in the middle to win headers, get more mobile folk either side of him and let SOD/Carroll play a more dynamic role getting about the park. Slattery & Tierney should be in the team every single week as well btw.
