  1. Kelty just announced prices for this Friday’s games v Partick. The Tuesday game v Glenrothes, would imagine it’s up to Glenrothes to announce but Kelty haven’t said anything yet.
  2. They used to be always stacked with proper chunks of meat. The last few I had, as said, were closer to Greggs steak bake with more gravy and a dearth of filling. Kelty steak pies are excellent. Proper chunks of meat. My mate reckons the sausage roll was the best he ever had but the one time I had one, it was average.
  3. Stephens steak bridies are a poor imitation of what they used to be, certainly the ones in the shops in the toon are. Closer to a Greggs “steak” bake than the premium scran they used to be from about 4-5 years ago or more. Plenty of my mates feel similar.
  4. They did it at the start of last season when they moved to Dalgety Bay to play their games. Their Facebook, Twitter, website, badge etc has been Swifts FC all last season.
  5. That’s one of the best organised defensive performances I’ve seen at NCP this season. Cowden were very hard to break down and it was always going to come from at set piece/dead ball if there was goal. Also thought youse had to best chances in the game, the skied one early first half and how the number 9 (?) doesn’t hit the target with the low header second half I will never know. If youse can stay that solid at the back and take chances I think youse will stay up.
  6. First 15 mins of the St Johnstone game, they had 2 pretty decent chances saved, if either had went in would have settled them, already on a very poor run of form, and would have been a different game. After that it was level for a large part of the game but Kelty finished the stronger as we got more belief and St Johnstone started to get more and more nervy of what could be going to happen. An already low on confidence side shat it. For any League 2 side to beat a top team needs everything to go in our favour…from having the game at home, the opposition to have a big off day and get nervy etc. Need to keep it level for as long as possible and as soon as St Mirren score in first 15 mins your chances diminish even more. Kelty didn’t do themselves justice yesterday, can play better than that, aside from St Johnstone we ran Dundee Utd v close, at home, first game of the season. But we have produced some poor away performances at Annan and Elgin so it’s no surprise St Mirren was about 4 or 5 steps to far.
  7. Any recommendations on parking near the ground please?
  8. Worst second half for a long time at NCP. That first 20 mins was a complete bombscare. Defence all over the place and midfield and attack all went missing. After a very good first half everyone looked nervy at 2-1 and 2-2. Went from playing usual good football to just hoofing it to Alfie and Fash. Huge result to come out of that game with all 3 points because at one point I was thinking would be lucky to even keep 1.
  9. Definitely rotation and possibly a few missing. It was in fact only 2 starters from Saturdays starting 11, didn’t notice DJ was on bench and Donaldson started. Usual/strongest 11 would be Jamieson Philp/Finlayson O’Ware Forster Ngwenya Tidser Barjonas Philp/Black Cardle Austin Higginbotham
  10. Quite a different Kelty side next month. Only 3 of those in the cup game started on Saturday.
  11. You do realise MOH did his hammy about as soon as he came on? He was probably on the pitch about 10 mins longer than he should have been. By 103rd min he was continually hobbling so no way he would have caught me never mind Higgy.
  12. About 5 mins to go in ET, Higgy is trying to take the ball for a walk to kill time and none of your team, none, had any desire to close him down and try and win ball back. With 5 to go and 1 ahead against a SPL side I would have expected it to be hell to try and keep the ball. Instead we strolled the end of the game. Says more about Saints than Kelty.
  13. You will be fine in the home end. Across the bottom 2 leagues Kelty are second behind Falkirk in terms of average home attendance this season. Average about 750 per home game.
  14. He gets about the park very well, I suppose most 18 year olds should, but he is tenacious and got great work rate/desire. He can play a bit too, he was excellent in the Kelty midfield which admittedly did tend to dominate a lot of games. I can’t see him featuring for Aberdeen this season in SPL, he’s not at that level yet. Whether he gets there is hard to tell. Hes quite small still but held his own physically. He actually reminded me of a young version of Scott Brown snapping about the park, very energetic. Wish him well, he was a joy to watch and has a great attitude. Be interesting to see what happens with him in the summer and being out of contract and with Kelty hopefully being a League 1 club at that point.
  15. Tickets have been on sale since this afternoon on Fanbase.
  16. It was about 250 at start of season when I picked mines up.
  17. Always think Philp is unlucky to be missing from the starting line up. The midfield if well stacked now. Black, who has been excellent of late and Philp coming on yesterday and also great to see Tam Reilly back and pinging passes about again. Was surprised how high a line Albion played yesterday in first half. Cost them one goal and could have cost them a few more with right runs/passes.
  18. It usually has to be shots from outside the box when there are 10 players defending inside their own box. It worked to a point but it’s debatable whether it would have continued to do so until FT.
  19. Kelty had a very good spell for the first 15-20 mins of the second half, after the introduction of Philp and Agyeman. The tempo was upped significantly in that period. Bar that the first half was dour and the rest of the second half was Kelty keeping Forfar in check without any major chances created ourselves.
  20. League only 1202 v Cowdenbeath 677 v Edinburgh City 608 v Elgin 528 v Stranraer 674 v Annan 937 v Stirling Albion 4626 in total over 6 league games = 771 avg. Football Web Pages has the Cowdenbeath crowd in as N/A.
  21. I usually park at Kelty Community Centre. About 30 odd spaces. If I’m there about 2.20/2.30 there are spaces. It’s right next to away entrance which barely 50 yards behind the CC.
  22. Yet the clubs Facebook, website, Twitter and club badge are either The Swifts or Swifts FC. No mention of Hillfield anymore.
