EOSFL match attendances 2018/19
FairWeatherFan replied to Burnieclub78's topic in East of Scotland Football League
Just curious how things compared with the confirmed changes. There's the expectation of the Premier bounce over last year's Conferences, Berwick losing fans with relegation but Bonnyrigg and Berwick might also bring out some additional fans to the LL and Edusport might start to garner a fanbase of their own now that they have a home. -
Kelty and Edusport were all in Round One when they were promoted. So don't see why Bonnyrigg wouldn't be this time.

With how quick how everyone's acted today, it's good to know that the clubs have known what's happening for a wee while and were just waiting on the SFA to drop another clanger. -
They do have News sections that cover their various activities https://www.scottishfa.co.uk/scottish-fa/news/ I'm sure they will get around to announcing something. It's a bit different this year with there being 8 new members. Maybe the Scottish Cup draw will have a special mention, but in the recent past there was the likes of: https://www.scottishfa.co.uk/news/lothian-thistle-hutchison-vale-become-90th-scottish-fa-member-club/?rid=13929 https://www.scottishfa.co.uk/news/kelty-hearts-confirmed-as-the-89th-scottish-fa-member-club/?rid=13929

Whitehill welfare 2019/20

They're also looking to change the rules this year, so it's not like it's something that's set in stone never to be changed. -
You only get the odd snippet. I'm not aware of any of the HFL that publishes their attendances. Going by a bit in the SFA licensing manual every club should have a system in place to account for the numbers going through the gate as a minimum. Don't know if @Burnieclub78 has tried to include the Highland League as part of his impressive attendance project. I know I would appreciate seeing their inclusion (sorry for suggesting even more work your way!)

So you need to be an Associate Member for 3 years and get to the 7th Tier in English Football to be a Full Member. Not sure if you lose Full membership status if you get relegated from Tier 7 though.
-
At the moment it's not exactly clear to me what's going on with this. A number of clubs are showing themselves to have been awarded "Full Membership" to the SFA. People are saying that any Associate Membership only ends if you get promoted to Tier 5. Does that mean if they are promoted and relegated straight away to the go Associate-Full-Associate, or simply getting Tier 5 status allows them to retain Full Membership from then on? With these new 6 membership forms not worth the paper they're printed on because they're actually Associate Members now? The ruling needs clarified.

I've no idea how kelty voted. Perhaps recent is the wrong word. I meant the number of non league support there must have been. Not knowing exactly how this full membership associate membership divide will work it's not that surprising. There's nothing below the HFL so combined with the SPFL that's 59 potential votes for no obvious change to themselves and disadvantaging others. Then you've got 16 at Tier 5 and 4 outwith the pyramid. That just leaves a grand total of 10 clubs at Tier 6 or 7.
-
What do you consider recent license holders?
-
89 members with a vote. So 3 didn't vote on it apparently. 75 Tier 5 or above 14 Tier 6/7 or outwith the pyramid.

EoS Conference A Thread 2019-20
FairWeatherFan replied to Burnie_man's topic in East of Scotland Football League
If the 19 point deduction is true and they ended up in the North Premier League this would of been the comparison. They would of been a bit of an outlier either way with Scone and Luncarty in the North Super League. Although there's the possibility of Newburgh being shifted North as well. I'd say the EoS offers more interest than playing the same 8 clubs 3/4 times a year. -

Helps that everyone else's seasons have ended. I'd see it as more of a suggestion for juniors to move to a summer season. -
I'd thought it was yesterday with this news on applicants.
-
Take it the regional super & premier leagues passed then?
-
It's no doubt fuelled the speculation of some clubs that moved as being unhappy in the EoS.

New clubs in the East of Scotland
FairWeatherFan replied to Moses McNeil's topic in East of Scotland Football League
It has been said in the Junior forum that it's not a Dunblane amateur side playing out of Sauchie that's applying for the ERJFA, but Sauchie CFC. If true that's now 3 affiliated EoS clubs propping up the East Region. -
New set up for next season
FairWeatherFan replied to patriot1's topic in East of Scotland Football League
The EoS board has some new faces for the coming season. John Greenhorn (Ormiston) chairman Drew Beveridge (Burntisland Shipyard) vice chairman Alistair Wilkie (Tynecastle) treasurer Brian Balmbro (Coldstream) Lesley Birrell (Preston Athletic) Paul MacGregor (Tranent Juniors) Rory Mutter (Hill Of Beath Hawthorn) Jim Provan (Broxburn Athletic) Tom Thornton (Haddington Athletic) -

Noticed this on the EoS Facebook page. Doesn't mention the subject to ground check and reads as a done deal that we all probably assumed. -
An advantage women's football will have over the likes of Junior football is links with the bigger professional football clubs in Scotland. It's going to get better investment and marketing opportunities than junior football. That should eventually see a higher return on attendances.

The splits more like 80-20. And even with the 3 region split there's a lot of people that would prefer Tayside teams in the north section. Population is also a bit of a red herring in this, as it comes down the make up of clubs. The Highland area with HFL, NCL, North Region & North of Tay East Region clubs = 74 The Lowland area with LL, EOS, SOS, West Region & South of Tay East Region clubs = around 140 odd with possible changes this summer. Twice as many clubs in the Lowland, but not as dramatic a difference population suggests. And until there's more than a handful of licensed West of Scotland clubs the HL/LL split won't change anytime soon. -

The changing rooms are right next to the park. Going by the match report (25 May) the pavilion is out of order for some reason. Hence the car trip to temporary changing rooms. Hopefully it isn't a major problem and they've gotten it improved in the past couple of weeks
