  1. Do the LL/HL sit on the professional game board? They do as we've seen recently though there's a different set of vested interest amongst them. SPFL3 idea floated, LL2 working group and it's usually said how the HL want to be left alone.
  2. There was a minutes from an EOS meeting in October that was circulated. It may be that you are referring to. Also Im sure the Maxwell thing wasnt from the PWG but another group. It was from the Professional Game Board where the EoS, SoS and SJFA are not represented. They probably got an update in their agenda about the PWG goings on and Ian Maxwell probably thought it was more of a done deal than he thought. Which is why it's nearly a month later and there's no sign of that draft statement being made public. And why the licencing embargo is over but no one's told the SJFA clubs that they can start applying since they're in the pyramid.
  3. No one was named, but at the time it was all going on there was a quote from, I believe, John Greenhorn referencing the interest from a club North of the Tay. EDIT: Quicker to find than I thought it would be: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/44408030 I also remember seeing this at the time which stuck with me
  4. Everyone that has tried to question the boundary so far has failed to get it moved. Even now while there's a difference of opinion between EoS & East Juniors in these PWG meetings. The EoS even declined/informed a potential applicant during their reorganization. The only club to have broke ground on North/South boundaries since the inception of the Lowland League has been Montrose Roselea. Who went from the East Region to the North Region in the Juniors.
  5. Think it was 138 league games, playoffs, League Cup and Trophy for the EFL. Compared to 48 Premiership games and playoffs. Average it out per game the difference isn't as great.
  6. Who says they're losing home games? It's probably 33 league games or more. They'd also likely get extra value out of sponsorship/match day revenue by being part of the SPFL instead of the Lowland League.
  7. Kelty in SPFL3 with £20-30k or more in prize money goes along way.
  8. Think it makes from their point of view. There's never been the tradition before as SoS/EoS would just be a drain on finances and lacking interest. Even with the moves within the pyramid, there's maybe not the depth to risk Wick to Wigtown without the SFA picking up the tab like they do in the Scottish Cup.
  9. I realise there are obvious advantages to being a member of the SPFL over the LL. However when it comes to the cups you already compete in the Scottish Cup. Top 4 in the HL & LL compete in the Irn Bru Cup. Which just leaves the Betfred Cup where current HL & LL champions also compete. Which makes me wonder what the competition looks like with 50 members to cater for and the possibility that ICT or Ross County reserves get promoted from the HL, making it 49 members the following year etc.
  10. SPFL League 3 Lowland League 2 EoS/SoS/West Premiership/East Super League EoS/SoS/WoSFL/Tayside League It's great to see everyone on the same page
  11. Certainly seems doable to me. August - 256 max (currently 226 across non-league Pyramid, SJFA, NCL & Glasgow University) September - 128 October - 64 November - 32 February - 16 March - 8 April - 4 May - 2
  12. After the aborted attempt to trial the Old Firm B teams in SPFL League Two it's not surprising the idea of League Three has come up again.
  13. I actually find the debts issue one of the more interesting aspects to this situation. They referred to "regaining its licence" and "get our licence again". It doesn't exactly sound like Selkirk FC has been liquidated or in administration.
  14. Typically Highland would be said to have the better attendance overall. Without a similar headcount/attendance project that's going in the Lowland area it's hard to back with specific numbers
  15. I don't think there's a mechanism for them to be allowed back in midseason like that. Even if they did just have the spot of 16th in name only without having to play any games. Also avoids the farce of them being relegated into the EoS Premier instead of having to start from the bottom next season.
  16. https://www.bordertelegraph.com/sport/17209537.sfa-are-up-for-a-selkirk-return/ Spotted this article while having a look to see if there was any news around Selkirk. Hopefully they'll be in the EoS next year in some form.
  17. Potential cop out would be Kenny Williams since he's technically a WWE Superstar and he needs some sort of set up for a match at the Hydro.
  18. Why wouldn't they? The whole reason they have the current set up was because they wanted to ensure a certain standard at Tier 5 that the SPFL would find acceptable. LL2 would likely enforce licencing as a requirement after a grace period. Which is something that would make free movement between the leagues more likely. And it's not exactly everyone down a tier as LL2 would have to be made up of clubs from somewhere.
  19. Surely the "self preservation train" is the SJFA endorsed 4x leagues at Tier 6 with only ONE promotion opportunity. Rather than a LL2 that could have to 2-3 automatic relegation spots.
  20. Dallas has announced a "WWE Superstar" to face Whiplash at tomorrow's card. Looking at the WWE Hydro card, Damo looks to be the obvious guy with a ICW past.
  21. That's the way I saw it. Cup games out of the way early. League games for the winter where postponed games won't hold up an entire competition.
  22. So far across the conferences you've got teams that have played 7-11 Conference games. Getting everyone finished on time would be tricky, or now that I think on it even impossible with the odd number in conferences. Some of the conferences are also quite close for top 5 spots. 12 games might not have been a fair representation.
  23. Civil Service Strollers referred to the creation of a LL2 working group, the assumption being the Lowland League are looking to control tier 6. With one of the likely format considerations being a single division or split west/east divisions.
  24. If Kilwinning appear interested it's fair to say other clubs are as well. The chairman said on the junior forum several months ago that a number of clubs had been discussing it. It's more about the lack of interest if it's a single division. LL2 west is basically the West Region Premiership under Lowland League authority.
