  1. Didn't Aberdeen only extend Rogers deal with us because Liverpool gave them guarantees over Ward? Seems like Aberdeen are getting screwed over here and we might lose out because of it.
  2. Definitely right to sell, just shows you the scattergun approach to youth development team like Swansea have.
  3. Just had a look at the fixtures for January, Hibs at home and Rangers away. I was actually annoyed when Rangers lost the playoff last year as I thought it meant another season with no challenge from us but the club have been fantastic this year. A win out of those games and we're still in with a shout.
  4. Cheers for that, I can't make it to the Bairnabeu before the game but I phoned Hibs there and they've confirmed there's pay at the gate at the South Stand
  5. Went with the girlfriend to Alt-J at the Hydro last night. I hadn't heard any of their stuff beforehand but it was quite uninspiring. Possibly as bored as I've been at a gig for a long time. Seem to have a load of fans but not many big songs. If ever a venue didn't suit a band it was this right enough so maybe a smaller venue would be more interesting. Horrors and Ghost Poet in support who I really enjoyed even though the Horrors light show has damaged my retinas. Made me listen to Primary Colours again which is a fantastic record.
  6. £200k from Swansea for Ryan Blair on the BBC gossip site... (Daily Star was the reference). They must have a scout watching Falkirk at all times. Does anyone know what ticketing will be like for the Hibs game? No option to buy online so I assume it's pay at the gate?
  7. Got told someone will cascade results in an email to me. He said it about 3 times and I'm still not sure what I'm going to be sent.
  8. Mountain Goats came on at 8:45 but 3 nights later Daughter came on at 9:30. I supposed it's just designed so they'll finish around 11.
  9. I get the impression that Vaulks has requested not to play centre back. If I remember correctly, he went on trial at Blackburn and they basically said he was good but physically too small to make it as a centre back in England at that level. Since then he's moved to right back and been ok/good but seems to be excelling as centre mid. Always been impressed with his application and attitude and it seems like he has decent aspirations within the game too. Wouldn't begrudge him a decent move in the future.
  10. Went to see The Mountain Goats on Friday night at Glasgow Art School, was excellent. Going to see a band with 15+ albums means you'll never really get everything you want to hear but was great nonetheless. The parts of the gig where it's just John and the guitar are incredibly powerful, good as the newer stuff is. Also, returned to the Art School to see Daughter last night, I didn't know any of their songs before I went in but I really enjoyed it (terrible support act aside). Will definitely give them a proper listen,
  11. I don't agree, a player with a good relationship with the fans can make a big difference to your enjoyment of a game. The whole Farid kissing the coin stuff and running to Bullen when he scored was excellent and added to the match day experience. You want your players to get the crowd going and to really celebrate with the fans. In real terms, we signed Lyle Taylor straight after Farid left so we didn't actually miss his goals that much but we didn't have the same love for Taylor.
  12. It really is, no idea what they were thinking with it.
  13. What's the deal with the cycle lane in Cambridge street in Glasgow, it's quite disconcerting for it to be on the right hand side of the road rather than the left. Feels like you're about to cycle into oncoming traffic.
  14. It'll help his career though, give him a chance to play against different styles of teams too and maybe inspire him to kick on a bit.
  15. The only time where it was nearly as enoyable was when Higgy/Farid were on form the first half of that season.

  17. That's Wonderful. To be honest, I'd never heard of Evans till last year, what makes him a c**t?
  18. To be fair, particularly at home, all of the teams mentioned have been set up precisely as he described so I don't really see what's arrogant about it. Nothing wrong with playing that way at all and it's Falkirk's fault that we are unable to break teams down.
  19. I like to pretend to my boss that I'm working while I'm on the train to justify leaving an hour early but the Scotrail wifi isn't consistent enough to stay connected to my works network :'(
  20. Saturday wasn't zero entertainment either. The first half was pretty good actually with both teams getting forward and having a go. The second half was brutal I'll admit as Morton sat in hitting long balls and we didn't have a way to break them down. That's our problem and has been under a few managers now, it's why we do well in the cups against better teams. (This season excepted ) A last minute goal is absolutely superb though no matter how the game has been.
  21. No complaints about yesterday's approach, I had just never seen him before and didn't know what sort of player he was. You'd say he's more in the mould of Kerr?
  22. We're grinding out results which is nice when you look at the table but there are teams in this league who we should go for the jugular instead of taking the patient approach that we had yesterday. It will work against teams 'better' than us but you have to imagine next season we could be the biggest team in the league going for the title and we will need to be more adventurous. We could really do with more creativity in central midfield. Blair came on yesterday but looked like he was on as a defensive midfielder as everything was getting played back.
  23. I left it from 5pm-11pm then it was still attached. I asked in the station and one of the attendants grabbed some bolt cutters and took care of his lock with one go. Shows you how flimsy these locks actually are, if someone wants to steal the bike and has the tools it can be gone in seconds. He then tied the guys bike up with the loose chain, it was gone this morning...
