  1. I get the impression that Vaulks has requested not to play centre back. If I remember correctly, he went on trial at Blackburn and they basically said he was good but physically too small to make it as a centre back in England at that level. Since then he's moved to right back and been ok/good but seems to be excelling as centre mid. Always been impressed with his application and attitude and it seems like he has decent aspirations within the game too. Wouldn't begrudge him a decent move in the future.
  2. Went to see The Mountain Goats on Friday night at Glasgow Art School, was excellent. Going to see a band with 15+ albums means you'll never really get everything you want to hear but was great nonetheless. The parts of the gig where it's just John and the guitar are incredibly powerful, good as the newer stuff is. Also, returned to the Art School to see Daughter last night, I didn't know any of their songs before I went in but I really enjoyed it (terrible support act aside). Will definitely give them a proper listen,
  3. I don't agree, a player with a good relationship with the fans can make a big difference to your enjoyment of a game. The whole Farid kissing the coin stuff and running to Bullen when he scored was excellent and added to the match day experience. You want your players to get the crowd going and to really celebrate with the fans. In real terms, we signed Lyle Taylor straight after Farid left so we didn't actually miss his goals that much but we didn't have the same love for Taylor.
  4. It really is, no idea what they were thinking with it.
  5. What's the deal with the cycle lane in Cambridge street in Glasgow, it's quite disconcerting for it to be on the right hand side of the road rather than the left. Feels like you're about to cycle into oncoming traffic.
  6. It'll help his career though, give him a chance to play against different styles of teams too and maybe inspire him to kick on a bit.
  7. The only time where it was nearly as enoyable was when Higgy/Farid were on form the first half of that season.

  9. That's Wonderful. To be honest, I'd never heard of Evans till last year, what makes him a c**t?
  10. To be fair, particularly at home, all of the teams mentioned have been set up precisely as he described so I don't really see what's arrogant about it. Nothing wrong with playing that way at all and it's Falkirk's fault that we are unable to break teams down.
  11. I like to pretend to my boss that I'm working while I'm on the train to justify leaving an hour early but the Scotrail wifi isn't consistent enough to stay connected to my works network :'(
  12. Saturday wasn't zero entertainment either. The first half was pretty good actually with both teams getting forward and having a go. The second half was brutal I'll admit as Morton sat in hitting long balls and we didn't have a way to break them down. That's our problem and has been under a few managers now, it's why we do well in the cups against better teams. (This season excepted ) A last minute goal is absolutely superb though no matter how the game has been.
  13. No complaints about yesterday's approach, I had just never seen him before and didn't know what sort of player he was. You'd say he's more in the mould of Kerr?
  14. We're grinding out results which is nice when you look at the table but there are teams in this league who we should go for the jugular instead of taking the patient approach that we had yesterday. It will work against teams 'better' than us but you have to imagine next season we could be the biggest team in the league going for the title and we will need to be more adventurous. We could really do with more creativity in central midfield. Blair came on yesterday but looked like he was on as a defensive midfielder as everything was getting played back.
  15. I left it from 5pm-11pm then it was still attached. I asked in the station and one of the attendants grabbed some bolt cutters and took care of his lock with one go. Shows you how flimsy these locks actually are, if someone wants to steal the bike and has the tools it can be gone in seconds. He then tied the guys bike up with the loose chain, it was gone this morning...
  16. I'm thinking of attaching my lock to his bike out of spite and leaving my number so he can call me to free both our bikes. That may leave me liable to my bike getting done in right enough.
  17. This has just happened to me at Queen Street! The swine's lock looks fairly sturdy so I doubt I'll be able to get it off. It's an epidemic! Be a wear!
  18. Went to see Summer Camp at Sneaky Petes last night. Was a brilliant gig, the bands got 3 excellent albums but kept the gig short and sweet playing the best of each. I like it when bands don't go to town on their new record (even though I like it)
  19. I got the bus there last week. Could have been me,
  20. His career has certainly kicked the bucket...
  21. The manmade islands are cool, loads of ex pats out there too
  22. This^^^ Plus when you're going for the new job you can negotiate from higher wages (or no wages if you wait too long)
