  1. Django Unchained: Just saw this on DVD for the first time and was impressed. I preferred Django to Inglorious Basterds as the humour worked better for me. 8/10
  2. Anyone who criticised Terry Christian got equal "seethe" from the Celtic support. Perhaps TC was not trolling but just a twit in this instance who happened to upset a lot of Rangers fans by his inappropriate comment. If thats what you envy though, good luck fella !!
  3. I had a bottle of this last year and it was lovely. I have the 15 year old French Oak in my drinks cupboard just now it is similar but not as good.
  4. Just put three bottles of this in the fridge for this evening.
  5. I guess you just had to be there for some of these
  6. Saw this on twitter, thought I would post it here: I'd get that looked at if I were her.
  7. Fyne Ales Jarl from a cask. Lovely stuff, better than the bottled variety. FYI was in a pub earlier called jacksons. Accross from the thistle hotel in glasgow. Had real ale on tap (such as fyne ales vital spark) as well as kegged ales such as joker ipa and and west beer hefe weisen (sp.). Worth a visit.
  8. I watched this last night and couldnt believe the question regarding the clothing factory collapse in Bangladesh and was it a result of our desire to buy cheap clothes here in the UK. The Tory woman that was on the panel seemed to almost answer yes by saying something like "we should as consumers ask ourselves why the clothes are so cheap when we are thinking of buying them". Wrong dear you and your colleagues should legislate on these matters and the companies selling them should have policies in place to prevent abuses by their suppliers. Its not easy for them I accept but if they cant do it how do they expect the consumer to know whether the Asda £5 shirt they are about to buy was made in a reputable factory or otherwise. As a young lady in the audience said even expensive clothes are sometimes made in sweatshops. Football shirts being a prime example.
  9. Had a bottle of Innis and Gunn Rum Finish tonight. Im not really a fan of I&G beers they are good quality but not to my tastes. Having said that the Rum finish is excellent. The pick of the ones I have tried so far. Also had a bottle of Franziskaner from Lidl's a decent wheat beer.
  10. Slightly off topic but Rangers reserves 7 - 0 up on Airdrie after 26 minutes tonight at Auchenhowie. Currently half time 7-1. Glad to hear some good news coming out of Rangers for a change. Hopefully the future is bright.
  11. Quite decent selection, mixture of both keg and cask. Also a really quite nice pub. I wasnt impressed by the food, a bit trendy in that respect. I think it can be quite busy at the weekends. Munro's on Gt western road is another new pub along similar lines.
  12. Sierra Nevada Pale Ale was on tap in the Curlers Rest on Byres Road when I was in a few weeks back. Its 5% on tap but stronger in the bottle at 5.6%. Strong beer does have more malt in it so it is more expensive to produce. Also above a certain ABV in this country there is a higher tax on the beer (I think that is around 7 - 7.5% and above). Had a bottle of "Trashy Blonde" by BrewDog last night. By no means their best but packed with flavour for a 4.1% ABV beer.
  13. Never tried their beers though there are a lot of good breweries down south and we dont see much of their beer up here. A while back I tried a Bristol Beer Factory Red Ale and it was top drawer.
  14. Alright then. If anyones willing to pay me £3,750 I will say something random about Maggie.
  15. I might consider saying something nice about her for £3,750. Anyone willing to pay up?
  16. I watched this live earlier, Glenda fairly got stuck into her. They have been talking about Thatcher for 6 and a half hours now in parliament. Its live on BBC Parliament for anyone interested. Surely there are more important things to be talking about than this.
  17. Having a bottle of Goose Island IPA, very nice stuff. Why do the Yanks make better IPA than we do?
  18. I cant see her winning the Scottish third division anytime soon. Not sure what you mean
  19. The tories have not changed they are still the same today.
  20. How do you know what Craig Whyte is feeling?
  21. I notice there was no minutes silence at tonights manchester derby. I wonder why? I think the ceremonial funeral with full military honours is out of keeping with public opinion. Anyone else granted the same type of honour would surely have been recognised at one of the biggest games in Britain this season on the very day of her death.
  22. Turns out Stephen Fry is a closet Aberdeen supporter:
  23. That seems to be the case. He should be warning the bench. Hes over rated and a cry baby IMHO.
  24. Since August 2009 Barcelona have a better win rate in La Liga when Messi does not start (84.2%) than when he does (78.2%).
