  1. Extremely well balanced programme tonight though. First 30 minutes on Rangers and then second 30 on Celtic.
  2. I agree with you, I thought he was very respectful towards the club. It was good to hear supportive messages for him as well from fans. Detected a bit of annoyance when asked about the Kerr- Taiwo partnership though. He seemed to accept his time had come, whilst being proud of his time in charge.
  3. Mark Stowe. He played well, decent crosser of the ball also.
  4. Realistically, if any of our central defenders were brilliant in the air, comfortable with the ball at their feet and had blinding pace, they wouldn't be here long. Utilising their combined strengths effectively is the key.
  5. Dylan Easton, I think, he had an excellent game. Joe McKee absolutely ran the show though. Passes the ball so well and at pace.
  6. I hope his shot isn't very accurate or he'll constantly be requiring treatment for his wounds.
  7. I think Tiger still attends matches, he used to sit beside John Markie in the main stand. Very pleased with the Loy signing, an upgrade on Baird overall, but which one of the two would you want to take your penalties? Keep Muirhead on them.
  8. I saw Andy Ryan play in the Airdrie v Alloa play-offs, and he was terrific. His movement off the ball and link-up play, whilst appreciating it is at a lower level, was very good, as well as scoring a great header against a much bigger defender. Worth a gamble, given the apparent lack of available, affordable strikers around.
  9. Nice to see Chick Young put in his place by Jim Duffy in his pre-match interview tonight. He tried to raise the Duffy-Lennon incident, totally irrelevant to the conversation beforehand, to which Duffy retorted, "I thought you were better than that Chick"
  10. Richard Gordon last night said that Willie Miller had told him that, with no disrespect to other clubs, the Aberdeen v Celtic final would be a "real" cup final. i'm assuming that was a "real" defeat last night by Hamilton Willie, no disrespect.
  11. He was much stronger than any of his direct opponents. He appeared as committed as always, both physically and verbally. Obviously a first team game would be much more demanding, but definitely encouraged by his performance.
  12. I see what you mean, first time I saw him he was very good playing centrally. Bit quieter out on the left last night. Like his attitude though.
  13. Watch development side reasonably regularly. Plenty potential there, although form tends to fluctuate. Gallagher looks the most consistent. Great to see Grant back playing as well last night.
  14. Extremely high percentage of ex-Dundee United employees on that list.
  15. Entertaining game tonight. Henderson was the best among a few decent performances. Swansea were very good. Numbers 7 and 8 were excellent, but the right back was superb. i thought the attendance was given as over 400.
  16. Would recommend Syed's previous book called Bounce.Based on theory of practice makes perfect, there is much to disagree with, but some of the scenarios and experiments described in it are fascinating. Enjoyed the chapters on him playing Michael Stich at tennis, and his flop at the Sydney Olympics. It covers lots of sports, and even chess is included. Well worth the read.
  17. Make sure you have a bell for cycling along canal paths.Saves a bit of hassle in my experience.
  18. For me, Cooper would be a better impact sub than Smith. He at least can deliver a decent cross.

  20. Cycled the Loch Leven path in August.Fairly decent surface but speed is restricted by dog walkers and oncoming cyclists. Very scenic in parts though. Almost 13 miles in total.
  21. Rodgirs Volks Watsin Grannt Leei Cerr Taywoo Alstone Sibauld Bared Smyth
  22. Thankfully not.Oscar Peterson (clue is in the avatar)
