  1. ROYAL ALBERT 2 LARKHALL THISTLE 3 At 3-0 up the Jags looked to have the game sewn up but a spirited fightback by the Albert saw them gain 3 penalties, with the Jags keeper sent off for the second, which ironically was saved by one of outfield players forced to go in goal. He then conceded a penalty himself which I thought was a foul on him. 3 points in a very strange game.
  2. ROYAL ALBERT V LARKHALL THISTLE Looking forward to our first midweek game which is a nostalgic event for supporters of a certain vintage, and a Jags win against the team who took the first penalty kick in world football. We need the points to keep our league challenge up but Ive always had a soft spot for the Albert and the efforts of those who keep the club going with such a long history.
  3. LARKHALL THISTLE 2 LUGAR BOSWELL THISTLE 0 Stodgy first half. ' Larkie came out in determined fashion for the second half, but found it tough going until a great goal from Taylor Scott from a very difficult angle. A host of chance were missed near the end following a Ryan Carlin headed goal, but another 3 points in our quest for the league. None of the top teams can afford to drop anything.
  4. Plenty of football to be played; we have Vof C and Vics still to come to Larkie, having defeated them both away we need to repeat the feat at home, both very good teams. Hugely tight, though I think Gow now out of the equation.
  5. Another Saturday, another day of hoping for a win whilst hoping our rivals drop points. It is some run-in for us ( Larkie ), AWR, Lanark, VoC and Irvine Vics.
  6. Today, yes, but you have conceded 20 more overall and scored fewer. Great spirit from both teams, great advert for the game
  7. By that logic, yours must be a motorway pile-up. since you lost more goals. Cheap goals lost by Jags today, but we still had enough.
  8. Larkhall are IMO the best team having beaten all of the challengers except AWR , including VoC away, Vics away, and Lanark twice. Lots of football to be played, but if Larkie win on Sat, which I expect, that just about eliminates Lesmahagow from the race.
  9. You wouldnt be timewasting etc all day then
  10. KELLO ROVERS O LARKHALL THISTLE 1 Hard fought but deserved win gets the Jags back on track . Two outstanding saves from the long-serving and great character Kello goalie. We cannot afford to drop any more stupid points. Great pies BTW .
  11. Lesmahagow is the home to the Hare Krishna, which is not surprising.
  12. A mixture of missed chances, goaline clearances, and a fluke goal did for the Jags today. Not impressed with Vales constant timewasting
  13. LARKHALL THISTLE 4 DALRY THISTLE 0 In a battle of the Thistles, the originals won with something to spare. Excellent performance despite missing chances. With other teams at the top dropping points, a good day.
  14. PORT GLASGOW 0 LARKHALL THISTLE 2 Excellent performance keeps us well in the hunt. Ryan Carlin again absolutely outstanding and good to see Div back in a Thistle strip.
  15. Indeed. Way higher, the Jags are on the way back, no doubt about it.
  16. Have to agree with you re points on the board, but this Larkie team are capable and very determined, and have beaten all the challengers ( AWR excluded ) , including yourselves, ( twice ) Matty is a great keeper, but your keeper had the save of the match in the first half. Its going to be interesting.
  17. Lanark are a good side, but the Jags have now won both fixtures deservedly. We now need to win our games in hand after our Cup run.
  18. Dont grasp your logic at all. Form is temporary, class is permanent.
  19. What do you mean? With the exception of East Craigie and Bellshill, all the quarter-finalists are multiple Junior Cup winners with long and distinguished histories.
  20. Cheers. Lots of new Clubs now, they will need to be around a very long time to match the Vales and the Thistles distinguished histories, with both clubs early pioneers of the game.
  21. Never knew that. You are a great and famous club.
  22. Fair summary. I like to see the Vale in their normal colours when they come up to Larkie though,
  23. I am afraid it was. EK player asked the ref if he was f......g blind to his face. Another great performance from the Larkie jags, replicating the 6-1 score at the Showpark earlier in the season.
