Agree on Skyrim. Oh to have the ability to go into that game completely fresh. It's only from playing other games of the same type that you see the little niggling issues that you just don't get when you're playing it first time. Absolutely wonderful game, and you can spend hours and hours (and hours and hours and hours) on it.

A lot of the Icons last year required an Icon to get. There were far cheaper SBCs to get them though. I think I did Nesta, Maldini, Litmanen and Zanetti last year through building up coins. Think most of them ended up around the 250-350k mark around the crash. Think Maldini needed an Icon, so put Nesta in as an upgrade. However, that was end-game, and you had the easier icon sets to build your way up. Starting off with this one is...bold. You'll get the absolute VLs that spend all their time on trading like it's a second job that have enough coins to do it, but seems like the sort of SBC you'd add early next year to try and flag up interest, not now.

I'm loving Rivals currently. Was in Div 5 to start, but got bumped down one, now absolutely cuffing teams. Still can't defend for shit though - went 5-0 up in 16 minutes (guy didn't rage quit) and ended up winning 5-4 with momentum really swinging. Aiming for the Elite ranking, but not sure I'll be able to play enough games to keep it up, particularly once the weekend hits and people with nothing to do in their lives play 400 games.

That's an absolute car crash of a tweet. There's nothing broken about what he did, in fact it's working in exactly the way EA intended. If you think that FIFA is pay-to-win, and that by shelling out a fuckload of money on it, you'll automatically be good, then you're the exact sort of mark EA will be interested in. EA's algorithms will be making sure that players like this get just enough to be strung along and no more, safe in the knowledge that they'll plough even more money in after that. Not particularly ethical, but they're a business. Actually, after checking the pic on my phone (twitter posts don't load in work) I see he's actually complaining about the bugs in the game, and because of that he wants the money refunded. What a VL. Bugs like he's showing shouldn't be there, but the pack "luck" is perfectly intended.

I sold Silva for about 35k I think, so he's not too expensive. Certainly not in the realms of Hazard.

Yeah, I had Criscito before Kolarov, packed him fairly early on. Still got him, probably swap them around for fitness.

My current team. Decent pack luck - including Harry Kane - meant I had more coins than I've ever had early on, so even with player prices high I've managed to bring in some decent players. Sold Insigne (20k loss though...) as he just wasn't doing what I needed him to on the left. In 2 games with Perisic, he seems much better, so so strong on the ball that it makes up for the poorer pace and dribbling. Midfield is in safe hands with beautiful Bonaventura, and De Rossi does a job well. Only poor thing with Serie A is again the full-backs. Basically saving up long-term for Sandro on the left, but the right is just waiting on IFs. Hysaj is very, very good though, was using Caliguri, but given the former goes for about 2k, he's worth picking up.

Yeah, I'm thinking of sacking off Insigne unfortunately. Same problem I had in 18 with him - absolutely rapid, particularly good in the current build of 19, but he's fucking tiny, and doesn't really work to clear up any crosses from the right that go long. Given he's going for 70k, imagine I could fill the team with a lot of quality if I let him go.

Did the Marquee Matchups for fairly cheap and packed David Silva in one of them, so that made all the coins back in one player. Built back up to enough to upgrade to Callejon on the right and Immobile up front. Mertens behind him, but it's a shame to drop Zaza in that CAM spot, because he's probably been the best player I've had so far.

Don't think there was anything like that, although usually when these things happen, it's a meltdown in the General Nonsense forum. Maybe he's on a warm weather training camp.

It's nothing to do with whatever book deal you may or may not have - in fact, I didn't remember that until it was pointed out - it was your incredibly cringey "look-at-me-aren't-I-pure-great" posting style that grated. But seeing how desperate for attention you clearly are, it comes off more as entertaining now, so you've at least got that going for you. Happy for you to go off and do your "observing" now.

Loved him in 18 and love him here. Wee ride. Enjoying it even more than I did with the Serie A side last year. Already had a pretty stacked selection of players (apart from right-back) but there's even more now. Only disappointment is that beautiful b*****d Marchisio leaving. Think he was my favourite normal card of last year.

I think it was Far Cry 2 they had it, and it was absolutely fucking awful. Guns worked for about 2 seconds before jamming, leading to the encampment of chattering AI (respawned after you cleared it 5 minutes previous and went around the corner) closes in. If they keep them as mostly functional for long periods, but you can improve them with maintenance I wouldn't have such a problem, but having to live weapon to weapon (*cough* Breath of the Wild *cough*) is just tedious.

Or maybe they just like to disagree with someone who took the hump at being disagreed with. Haven't seen anyone get "ganged up on" here.

Or just do the sensible thing and just wait until he's ready, and call him up for that level, like any other nation would do. None of this shite myth about us only capping players when they're 30. It will be. It's odd to say these days with AAA releases generally being disappointing in at least some way, but with Rockstar it's pretty unlikely. They'll save their shithousery for Red Dead Online, which will be another home for rampant trolls and people with too much real world money.

YOu see all these Trading Guides go up on reddit, but there's no such thing as a widely successful and consistent trading method, because if everyone started doing it it wouldn't be successful. Closest you can get in the short term is predicting MM and having the players there before they're announced. People can make a killing that way. Other than that, you're down into the tedium of turning players for 50-100 coins profit, and doing it on such a scale that you actually start to make money. To the people that can do that for any length of time, hats off to you. I'd probably be more inclined if the companion/web apps weren't absolute dogshit. People use bots to trade now (I looked into writing something, but coulnd't be arsed with the threat of getting your account canned just to be a wee sweaty geek) so a lot of the really good investment opportunities are a matter of whether you can search for an auction and click your mouse a few times before a computer can. Unlikely.

I did a few, 2 got me absolutely f**k all, but a 3rd got me Dele Alli. Had it been tradeable, I'd likely have been on to something. As it is, they'll be kept around for SBCs or the like. Think it's been said that the UCL players can be kept for something later on, probably an SBC that needs them specifically

Drove past Firhill last night after work and didn't see the street party on Firhill Road - was it up by the canal? Hopefully it's the boost we need. When we actually start playing decent stuff and linking midfield and attack, without needing our only forward to come ridiculously deep to get it, leaving no-one up to actually benefit, we look pretty good. f**k defence, we cannae do it. Just throw as many forwards and forward-thinking midfielders on and leave Bannigan sitting or something. We might end up midtable with a goal difference of -1, having scored 100 but conceded 101, but at least we'll have given it a go.

Nice to see Knox County is in safe hands as their mayor pisses off around the country to RAW, and then off to Melbourne for the weekend. Top stuff.
