  1. Chris McLaughlin ‏ @BBCchrismclaugA number of #Rangers players have already asked to be released. No confirmed decision as yet. Rangers players "surrendering"? Surely not!
  2. Keith Downie ‏ @STVkeithRangers players WILL NOT accept wage cuts if even one player is made redundant. They have made that clear. I for one applaud their noble decision.
  3. Ali Russell and Gordon Smith have agreed to leave Rangers.More to follow.... @stvsport Hit after hit tonight!
  4. And also this: Police have been passed a dossier by the administrators of Rangers in relation to the club's financial activities. Strathclyde Police confirmed on Thursday they have received a information from administrators Duff and Phelps. The force also said they will be consulting the Crown Office about the information handed to them. As administrators with responsibilities to the court, Duff and Phelps are duty bound to pass any matters of concern raised as they go through the club's books, to the police. A spokesman said: "We have been passed information from the administrators of Rangers Football Club. "It is currently being examined and we will be contacting the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal in due course. It would be inappropriate to comment further at this time." http://news.stv.tv/s...administrators/
  5. http://news.stv.tv/s...iously-thought/ The tax bill that crisis-hit Rangers are facing is around £6m higher than previously thought. Last week administrators Duff and Phelps were called in after HM Revenue and Customs tried to get court appointed insolvency experts in to the Ibrox club. At the time, the administrators said unpaid PAYE and VAT worth around £9m had been deducted from employees’ wages, but was not handed over the HMRC, which had prompted the Court of Session move. STV understands that the unpaid tax is closer to £15m and has increased as administrators have started looking over the financial arrangements at the Ibrox club since Craig Whyte took over last May. It is not yet known what the further £6m owed is in relation to, while earlier this week Mr Whyte claimed that £4.4m of the total owed to HMRC was in relation to the outstanding ‘wee tax case’ between Rangers and the government authority. Previously, joint administrator David Whitehouse said: “Unpaid taxes are not appropriate long-term funding for the club."
  6. I put this in the boxing thread too. Crazy night in Munich: https://twitter.com/#!/ChrisMannixSI
  7. Daily Record front page tomorrow: http://twitpic.com/8kf2dy . Hope United have the balls to go ahead with that plan.
  8. If Rangers are "liquidated" at the end of the season, can the SPL clubs table an amendment to the current TV deal before Rangers FC 2012 get back into the league to guarantee an equal share of the TV deal? They would get the 10-1 necessary as only Celtic would vote against. I am aware I'm most likely talking pish.
  9. Would the scenario that a few of you are saying will happen (Rangers being liquidated and then being allowed back into the league debt-free) see them losing all their players/stadium etc.?
  10. About time Inverness was featured in this thread...
  11. Saw Frightened Rabbit at the Tunnels in Aberdeen last Friday. Queued for about two and a half hours in the freezing cold but it was well worth it. They played a few new songs that sounded promising, I think there's some recordings kicking about on Youtube if anyone's interested.
  12. Anyone here at Aberdeen Uni? If so, do you know when the exam timetable gets posted? Can't seem to find any information on the uni website.
  13. This radar updates every 15 minutes and is usually really accurate from my experience. If you zoom in you can predict where it's going to rain/sleet/snow for the next few hours or so. Unfortunately you need the premium version to differentiate between the different types of precipitation. http://www.weathercast.co.uk/radar/united-kingdom.html
  14. Saw The Twilight Sad at the Tunnels in Aberdeen tonight. Absolutely phenomenal, although I think I may now be partially deaf.
