Annan have signed defender Steven Black from First Division neighbours Queen of the South with Galabank boss Jim Chapman looking for the 21 year old to build on a loan spell with the Black and Gold’s last season.
Black has been with the Doonhamers for 10 years since joining them as an 11 year old and he made his first team debut in a 4–1 win over Stirling Albion in March 2011 and he went on to make over 20 appearances including a substitute’s role in April’s Ramsdens Cup Final win over Partick Thistle.
Chapman said: “We had Steven for a short time last season and we know that he has the quality and hunger that will add value to our squad. He was not quite match-fit when he was here before as he had not played much football but with a good pre-season behind him I am sure he will grow into a really good player here.”
