I was reading a story yesterday about a Russian who'd gone out a window in India. Earlier this year he'd tweeted his opposition to the war in Ukraine before quickly withdrawing the tweet
An Indian police spokesman said "he'd been depressed" and pointed to the empty bottle of vodka in his room
Now call me Columbo but I have my suspicions...
"Just one more thing, Inspector Patel, what is that wad of roubles sticking out of your pocket .."
Is this the story ??? Nothing suspicious here, no sirree.
To be fair to the Russians, they've been getting away with this stuff for years and The West has largely turned a blind eye. A sanction here, a stern word there.... The West finally growing a spine must have come as a bit of a shock to them.

I picked Kanye West as my unnatural causes wildcard for 2023
If you can pick the right Russians then you'll be sorted. They're dropping like flies but its whether they'll get a qualifying obit. My missus worked with this lad.
In Embra not Vladivostok unfortunately. I swerved them as I couldn't decide but if I'd had the stones I'd have gone for Tinkov.

Doesn't seem extraordinary. There was only one unnatural cause in 2019, one in 2020, one in 2021 and now none in 2022.
(Marieve Vervoort, Caroline Flack, Akubaka Shekau if you must know).
I did pick a stick-on unnatural cause + solo shot hit for either 2020 or 2021 - euthanasia campaigner Michael Irwin, who actually went to the newspapers a couple of years back promising that he'd wash down his 90th birthday cake with a glass of Chateau Dignitas, but here he is at the age of 91 going on 92, still living life to the max, signing petitions about assisted suicide and writing letters to the Daily Telegraph. Git.
Just goes to show, you can never believe what you read in the press.
I went with Henry Marsh last year for similar reasons, he's another euthanasia campaigner and had the cancer. Seems backing up his 'dignity in death' chat was just that. To top it all, he seems to have made a full recovery. Bloody tease.

Good to see you still about. Hope all is well.
Hi mate, yeah, my online presence is much reduced but gotta do the deadpool. You'll not be happy with one of my picks, Alex Stuart the ex Dee. Pat Liney worked well for me last year so I figured why not...

Team sent, just need to wait and see all the obvious ones I missed when the full list comes out. Good luck everyone.

I'm still swithering over my squad, got a couple of young pretenders who will be worth more points but do I drop some of the low hanging fruit....
It was all done and dusted until Pele and The artist formerly known as the pope threw a curve ball into the mix. Goddammit !

I was a bit bemused by all the requests for prayer for auld Ratzinger. Were they seriously doubting he'd get in or something?
There's a bit of a chequered past.
and that's without the whole kiddy thing so maybe did need a bit of an 'assist'.

2023 squad entered. Sticking with most of the 2022 lot as they can’t all keep going.
Also, as soon as you drop them you just know they're gonna die.
Having to rejig the team again because of the Artist formerly known as the pope karking it. p***k !

Rats cocks ! There's a reason you need to research this stuff, just found an obit for one of next year's debutantes.

Henry is just misunderstood,
His intentions are terribly good,
having said that he did help the Junta....
Poetry isn't really my forte, I'm struggling to finish it, any help would be appreciated.

I've had a tragic death, my old laptop. No cloud for this old gadge so I'm hoping to f**k that I can empty the deadpool wisdom from my old one somehow. #prayforchomp

While my musical tastes have broadened over the years, The Michael Schenker Group had a pretty good live album. Still a guilty pleasure from time to time.

No, quite opposite, she's not worth many points, there must be some other reason some of us are getting excited.

Would probably be a shitload of work but would there be mileage in a themed (second) deadpool. I had half a notion to put in a WW2 list.
