  1. According to the accounts, it is. Buses leave from Glasgow for every Man United home game e.g.
  2. We're starting to rival Livingston for the ultimate heel club status.
  3. I can see both sides of the argument. The "Killie Pie" was around (and just as good) when it was produced by others e.g. WW Wales. There's no denying that since Brownings took over the catering however, that the "Killie Pie" brand has became more pronounced. Brownings put money into the club but they've also benefited significantly from having the rights to what is the club's pie. How much do Brownings make from their deal with Aldi e.g. and do Killie benefit from that? I'd imagine that Brownings make a lot more from this deal than they put in. And you know it's not as simple as that.
  4. Some pubs in Kilmarnock are refusing to show the Old Firm game because of the carnage that comes with it, yet we're actively advertising our coverage of it. What they're doing is they're willfully advertising a game of football between two clubs that have leached fans from the local community since their inception. We might not have a game this weekend, but why not try something a bit different to get people around the stadium this weekend? For example, have an open training session at the time of the Old Firm game where fans can meet the players/management after? Allow kids to have a 15 minutes training session from Lee Clark and with some of the first team involved? Encourage fans to this buy handing out free tickets to one of our post-split games... Instead, we've got a social media account that tweeted nothing in the build up to a huge game last weekend now advertising the Sports Bar (which no longer is a money making venture for Kilmarnock F.C. btw) for the bigot-fest.
  5. Whilst the Rangers games were a boost, we've also seen a drop in walk-ups and a significant drop in hospitality numbers. We've also had to pay off a manager and a number of players which, release clauses or not, will have cost a fair bit. We've brought in one or two players but we don't know whether that was Billy Bowie funding it personally in the hope of keeping us up or not. I'm glad you're so confident. Given the hotel deals and the state of the accounts I'd say this is the closest we've been to administration yet. Of course, we could announce some external funding at the AGM and that'll delay the seemingly inevitable for another wee while however unless we get an overwhelming sea-change in attitudes soon we will go into administration one day - I do not doubt that for one minute.
  6. We've went through them in detail on this weeks podcast. https://soundcloud.com/oneteaminayrshire/boyd-bae-board-boo Bullet points are: Owed Billy Bowie and Park Hotel circa 1mill as of May 2015 after new hospitality deals etc 2.5million owed to creditors; club made 700k loss 1million needed unless footballing performances improved (which they didn't) from external sources or "failure to secure additional funding would result in the existence of a material uncertainty , which may cast doubt as to the company's ability to continue as a going concern." (taken verbatum from the Auditors' report) Mann's letter said basically fans were to blame and he doesn't know why attendances/hospitality is down Owed MJ's law firm 107k for legal fees; up from 61k from the previous years accounts AGM to be held at 2pm on a Tuesday when most shareholders will be at work. To mask some bad news? We either announce external investment or we go into administration - seems the only two likely options
  7. The letter to shareholders is laugh a minute stuff. Not understanding why attendances and hospitality takeup is down..
  8. Dermot Desmond - majority owner of "charitable" Celtic... http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/scottish-news/billionaire-celtic-supremo-dermot-desmond-7715628
  9. Best of luck to him wherever he ends up. Hopefully it's at Ayr with his pal Stevo - what a drop for two guys that were Premiership regulars very recently though.
  10. Jamie Hamill played a trial game for Shrewsbury on Tuesday evening after a recommendation from Ian Black.
  11. Interview with Slater, Findlay and Brennan from the Scotland U21 game.
  12. Granted. It looks like he hadn't played for a while before joining Peterborough and his performances in training and on the pitch were said to be impressive. Faubert's fitness levels were shockingly bad when he arrived and they've improved dramatically lately so I'm hopeful the same will happen with Addison. The Henshall signing looks like hope that an injury ravaged guy can provide a spark off the bench late in games. With Hamill, Robinson and Barbour already away, I'd imagine several more will follow in the summer no matter the league we're in - Ashcroft, McHattie, Obadeyi, Carrick, Westlake...
  13. Phenomenal wrestler - shite human being, It isn't shown live, anywhere. Recorded on a Tuesday and shown worldwide on a Thursday. You know nothing.
  14. A winger though? I wonder if Clark sees his (or Obedayi/McKenzie's) future as a forward?
  15. Agreed - I only brought it up to show that he wasn't released because he was rotten, is all.
  16. He played a bit for Peterborough towards the end of last year/start of this, so hopefully his fitness levels are okay. Interesting that Graham Westley mentioned that he wanted to keep him but couldn't afford his wage demands. http://www.eurosport.co.uk/football/miles-addison-released-by-peterborough_sto5077995/story.shtml
  17. Miles Addison has signed - getting his picture taken by the Standard and club the now. Another guy there too - no idea who he is.
  18. "Chick Young's World of Football" deserves a mention on this thread. The idea of a world football show with a Scottish slant is actually a pretty decent one, but the choice of host and delivery of this one is atrocious. It feels like you've stepped back in time... On a recent show e.g. they went to China to speak to Ryan McGowan. As it was a discussion on the Chinese Super League, what else would be the musical introduction rather than... "Oh now we're off to sunny Spain..." before Spanish chat; Stereotypical Parisian music before French chat... That kind of nonsense belongs in the 70's and 80's along with Chick Young himself.
  19. Well, you know the usual procedure. Take a picture of you in a Killie top holding a piece of paper with "Hawkeye the Gnu - P&b 28/03/16" and you'll then be believed. It worked for Belfast Tim, it could work for you.
