  1. Heavy police presence required to handle the massive crowd of away suppor.......oh, hang on....
  2. In July last year it was announced that the investment would cover training ground, youth academy, coaching and medical staff and other "exciting initiatives" (Dunfermline Press). Since then your board, including the German investors, have appointed a couple of boneheads to your coaching staff. That's why the investment would make a difference to results. I simply wondered if you were all still behind the investors plans, given your predicament and the possible need for new priorities.
  3. Serious question. Has the German investment made any difference at all?
  4. Just listened to Hughes post match interview. What a lot of empty shite. Someone predicted he'd be on about how good they are on the training pitch and them putting the jersey on (or not) and lo and behold - he did exactly that. He simply confirms he has no clue how to motivate the squad he has, find a way to play his better players or change things when it's not working. It's the same old tired, clueless nonsense and his patter has long since worn thin with everyone except his media pals. It was literally a dreadful time when he mismanaged the Rovers down to the seaside so I know exactly how you boys feel. You have some hope though - you have time on your side and some decent players (O'Hara, Wighton, Thomas at least). If, however, they're not getting games or playing in the right positions, Hughes a) cant see it, and b) wouldn't know what to do even if he could see it. Your saviour is unlikely to arrive as a transfer so how do you get out of this mess?
  5. Getting pumped by the team at the bottom of the league but still talking about the Rovers. Good yin.
  6. This might be tour equivalent of our St Mirren away. Hughes to slate the players in the media post match, squad hate him and doon ye go.
  7. I see the Mo have signed Michael Gardyne. Quite a coup for them, even at 35. Surely means Keatings will be sent back?
  8. You need to loosen your Stetson Tx. Spencer is a top priority.
  9. So he DID play in front of a shite midfield in early days? And still managed better than 1 in 4 for us? Good signing.
  10. I'm with you. 14 goals in 50 games, of which 36 were starts. That's better than 1 goal every 4 games and includes him playing wide and in front of a much poorer and less creative midfield than we have now. I think if we play him direct he can work well with Ross, as he did with Vaughan, and combine with Varian's nuisance value to get a decent haul. Perhaps unburdened by expectations Zanatta finds form again too. Everyone wants a 30 goals striker. There are none out there. Looks like we beat a few clubs to his signature and I'm happy to have him back. Would you much rather he was playing against us?
  11. Harries the keeper ceaselessly? OFW could have been reading this thread today, such was the absence of harrying. I get all the work rate stuff and creating space for others, but bottom line is he's a striker. Who rarely strikes. A non striker, if you will. We need more potency. Quickly.
  12. Libelling Stonewall and defending Goodwillie is quite a hill to die on. Add "Hitler was misunderstood" and we can phone someone for you.
