    Spencer had a good game on Saturday and looks to have really upped his performance levels. If he's out, the hole in midfield just got bigger.

    Varian did have a better choice - to take the shot on earlier. Rounding a keeper is always tempting fate, particularly when there are other defenders around, and a good shot was, to me, the safer and better option. That said, he too is a youngster and I think he shows promise. Today the disbelief has waned somewhat and I'm enjoying how we played for those 65 mins. We'll be ok.

    After a slow start it's good to see the Pars endearing modesty return to their thread and the league prediction thread with photos of "HMS Piss the League", announcements that they are "scudding this league" and requests that they be given the title already.

    The speed to move for their first, when the ball has hit the net before he's even moved, is also phenomenal. As someone said earlier, it was like a lag in FIFA. He's culpable at the second too. Thank heavens we have a great 1st choice 'keeper.
