  1. That's good news. They were checking him for neck damage in the dressing room before sending him straight to the hospital.
  2. They're still looking for the sausage fingered numpty who launched the coin at Neil Lennon 5 years ago.
  3. My Dundee dark blue brothers will be cheered at the thought of an Aberdeen league collapse tied in with Goodwin making a total shitfest of taking United up and then ending up getting battered in Dingwall in the Play-Off Final. I think you would need new underwear.
  4. Agreed. The Edinburgh Derbies that season were decent and dare I say it somewhat better humoured. Rangers however were still an annoying, seething, tear stained mess of a club.
  5. Absolute rubbish game like 95% of Derbies. The usual thud and blunder and neither side are particularly good. No surprise the weegies absolutely ragdoll both these teams. Missile throwers in both crowds need to GTFO. Fed up with this shite and "Aye but they're worse than us" garbage. This has been going on for more than just this game. Every single Derby the young team regardless of club come in pished or with their noses full of gak and do stupid stuff in the stadium and it's becoming really tiresome.
  6. The one brain fart aside, Carson was excellent. Beck is going to be a cracking wee player. Dundee should look to get him on loan for next season as the more games he plays in a good Dundee side the better. No use him going back to playing Academy games or going on loan to some Englisher League 2 hammer throwers. Hibs v Dundee - There will be pints.
  7. If GBNews and Neil Oliver are relying on the "lets tune in to see what bollocks the mad b*****ds are spouting now" schtick then they are in more trouble than we all thought.
  8. Aberdeen will make the top 6. Hibs won't. Hibs will do something mad like beat Hearts and Rangers and then lose out on goal difference at the split having lost away at Livingston or something idiotic like that.
  9. It's always been there. But whilst in the 80s and 90s polite middle classers in England who vote Tory as despite actually being horrendous racists they would never associate with the shaven heads and bootboys of the NF and BNP as they were seen as a bit too scummy. But Reform tick all the boxes. They are now the party of not just the knuckledragging right of Tommy Robinson but also enough posh boys like Tice to appeal to the golf club racist as well. They appeal to what that arsehole Kelvin McKenzie referred to as his typical Sun Reader. Basically working class but owns his own council house, doesn't like the Unions or the immigrants, hates the homosexuals and whines about how it was all better back in the old days. All this gives Reform enough electoral clout to damage the Tories substantially at the next election in England effectively guaranteeing that the Tories will lurch horrendously to an even more right wing position, guaranteeing a split in the party and hopefully keeping them out of power for as long as possible. It appears Reform are absolutely delighted with last night.
  10. Whoa! Go fan run like Hearts? Fans don't run Hearts. Ann Budge and the Board do. Your Board has one person from the FoH on it who will be easily outvoted by the Grown Ups on the Board. Your board isn't hugely different from Hibs as both are in the main the usual mix of senior partners are Edinburgh Law Firms and Investment Companies. And you have one rich benefactor, James Anderson, who I used to work with and he's been preventing you from racking up year on year losses for the last 5 years at cost of about £4m a year.
  11. Yep. No real change from the Farmer/Petrie era in that respect. I did think that after Ron passed that the Gordon's would look to sell but they've doubled down on that.
  12. Think HSL got to about 20% of ownership so yes after the new shares are issued they'll have less of a share than before. The two biggest stakes are held by the Gordons and Foley. Small shareholders like myself all combined make up less than 8% of the ownership.
  13. The club is worth way more than when Ron bought us. Infrastructure has been upgraded substantially and new revenue streams have been opened. It's not remotely Romanov-esque. There are way too many checks and balances at Hibs for us to lose it spectacularly like that. What I would question is the sensibility of chasing third place aka The Baldman's Comb , in the manner we did. Going forward I do want to see is Foley's team having more of a say on player recruitment, if not directing it.
  14. Hibs are absolutely appalling just now. Celtic could turn up half drunk throwing Buckie bottles out the back of the bus at any random Jambo they see and they'll still win. Hibs won't improve till that fraud of a manager is gone. 0-3
  15. I would be delighted if these things happen but I fear it'll get watered down.
  16. Starmer will win the election for a few reasons. He was tasked with cleaning up Labour. He's done that. The anti-semites are dealt with and now gone or hushed for now. Their talisman, Jezza will be history after the election and back to doing what he prefers. Protesting . He hasn't scared the horses. The Business sector will back him and he's a boring lawyer that checks the details unlike the scary Corbyn or the idiotic oaf Boris Johnson. The English public want a change. They're not enthusiastic for Starmer the way they were for Blair but the Tories have been in too long and the mood is for change. Brexit has been a failure and is costing billions, though Starmer will do bugger all about it. Divided parties don't win elections and the Tories are broken into what has been called the 5 families. There is a real chance that they could splinter with the moonhowler far right, (the ERG and the libertarians who do the bidding of the 55 Tufton St mob) going off with the Reform Party shysters. But the support for him doesn't strike me as solid.
  17. Aamer is a good lawyer, really good in fact, but at the end of the day he's representing his clients. The Scottish Covid Bereaved I feel desperately sorry for but they do come over as if they are trying to find a hook of blame to hang everything on. And it's never ever going to be as simple as that.
  18. What are the sausage fingered brigade getting their arses in an uproar about now?
  19. Sandy - whilst both of them are atrocious, you dragging things down into stupid schoolyard personal abuse isn't going to win anyone over. The Twitter wars between Yoons and Nats that now have a strictly moonhowler audience that plays out to ever diminishing returns should be example of that. There are plenty of obvious criticisms you can make of both Hoy and Baillie without needing to sound like a teenager going off on one.
  20. Tommy, I've seen enough to know this current head coach hasn't got it and we are headed for a bottom six finish. He's ludicrously rigid in his 4-4-2 mindset and plays tactics that went out in 1995. There are also players long past their sell by date and some who are not up to it. Finishing in the bottom 6 given our budget will be fatal for any Hibs coach. Especially when you have options like Alex Neil about.
  21. The big 3 diddies (Hearts, Hibs and Aberdeen) play on a minimum of a tenth of the playing budget that the Uglies have. They cannot afford to shop in the market that the uglies go to and their turnovers are in the 15-20m against turnovers pushing 80-100m. The big diddies turnovers are inflated to that level by the inputs from James Anderson and FoH, Dave Cormack and RedDNA and the Gordon Family. If they were run without "donations" they you can slice a third of that turnover off for starters. All three have a proud record as well of signing some utter shite. A top player at the diddies will earn between 4 and 7k a week, at Celtic or Rangers add 20 - 30k to that. You get what you can afford. Occasionally one will get a result off the uglies but it's more the exception than the rule. All 3 clubs play on normal grass pitches so don't have the advantage of playing on a plastic pitch like yourselves that really should not be allowed in top flight football.
  22. with 11 new players and a new head coach probably.
  23. I'm a frequent train user and pre pandemic Scotrail regularly ran trains that were dry. Especially on football days. The SG made the decision during the pandemic with Scotrail's full backing. I'm glad it's banned as pissheads on trains are a total pain in the arse. Also the idea that the set up in England for football fans is some kind of freedom utopia is for the birds. Rubbish overpriced watery pisswater in plastic bottles and plastic glasses on sale in the concourse at half time that you can't take to your seat results in a pretty limited uptake. What you can do is go to one of the club's fan areas in the stadium beforehand and get much better quality booze. But then you can do that at Hibs for example as well.
