The new board

This season's a write off again really as no matter who comes in after Sheerin they'll be stuck with the horrendous squad we have. Talking at least 5 quality players needed in January in order to turn our fortunes around. Another big cull needed in the summer so yet again it's another rebuild and Holt's clearly not the man to oversee that rebuild.

Sheerin showed promise when he came in and compared to M&M actually had us playing some decent football but the recruitment yet again has been absolutely shocking. Coupled with the fact Sheerin's refused to switch things up on the tactics front teams have sussed us out and nullified us easily. Ben Hall, Brad Mckay, Hetherington, Mcguffie. Wilson, Ompreon all are nowhere near good enough. I'd rather see Ben Weekes get a chance than the invisible Mcguffie act week in week out. The last few interviews from Sheerin unfortunately show he's not got a clue how he's going to fix things and he looks totally scunnert. Two massive 6 pointers coming up and I feel that'll be the end of Sheerin.

I think that was the weekend one of the teams were playing in Newcastle so Fergus couldn't have took both games.

Chances of Sheerin changing it at half time to actually have a good go at it? I'm going slim to none.

Gary Holt needs to go I don't think anyone will disagree with that his signings have been absolutely shite. Sheerin's edging closer each week to following him out the door. Then see if Brad Mckay or Jaime Wilson have any decent party tricks they could perform at half time for the 3 and 2 years they have left on their contracts if not whack them in the pie stands. John Robertson with 4 goals and 3 assists in 12 games for Edinburgh City this season in the league. Was never the answer for our out and out number nine as Edinburgh City have been playing him on the right wing but he'd have been a much better option than Jaime Wilson & from the little we've seen Ompreon or Akeel Francis mark 2.

Brilliant finish for the first as well. Definitely a player there it's just a shame we're relying on a 19 year old to be consistent in every game.

They also published screenshots of football manager to show what it thought of our team and interestingly Gary Holt got a 5/20 for his ability to judge a players ability which isn't really far off the mark. Alluded to him being better suited as a fitness coach which I found amusing.

You can have good players but when they are then surrounded by absolute guff you aren't going to perform well as a team. Williamson's been out injured for the majority of the season and therefore most weeks we've had a defence which included Gary Miller and one of either Ben Hall or Brad Mckay so it's no wonder we've been conceding shocking goals. You'll also notice nobody will have a Falkirk striker in their team not even on the bench which again shows why we've been poor this season. So to sum up yes I absolutely think we have some of the best players in the division but we also have a good number of absolute diddies.

Telfer showed his quality last season and I think this season the fact he's had to play a deeper role has been to his detriment. Nobody's going to argue with you on Hetherington but they are completely different players. Aside from the fact Brown can actually play football Hetherington's supposed to be a ball winning defensive midfielder whereas Brown's more a playmaker. Grant Gillespie's far superior to Hetherington though and it would be a tight call between Telfer & Brown.

I was swithering between Taggart & Williamson to be honest but Steeves is a no for me he always gets rinsed against us and even up against Mcguffie in the last game he was looking shakey. Delivers a good ball but that's about it.

Got brought up in our thread and I'm curious to see the views of other teams fans. If you could have a squad of any 20 players from our league who would you have in it and what would be your starting 11? I can't choose between our two goalkeepers as I think they are equally as good as eachother and I also have a severe lack of defenders as I think there are a severe lack of decent defenders in this league. Usual from Hall being soft as shite in the air for the Alloa goal and flicking it on for them. He's a country mile better than Mckay but he'll still cost us too many stupid goals and should never have been given a new contract in the summer. Thought the like for like sub of Keena for Ruth showed us as a club exactly where we are. 0-0 at home to Alloa and we're happy to just keep trying to tickle the door. Morrison & Williamson will make a massive improvement there's no doubt about that but we've still got far too many duds around the squad to even look capable of challenging for the league.

I mean he shouldn't have took a honking tattie of a first touch forcing him into having to go round the keeper and thus not get his shot off.

Now I'm not going to make this a regular thing as the sooner we forgot about the signing the better and to be honest it's not Jaime Wilson's fault he was offered a two year deal with us but he played in the scottish cup replay against Clydebank at the weekend and look at the chance he spurned 20 seconds into the highlights. Sack Holt.

I doubt anyone will argue with you there. Need a lot more from Mcguffie & especially Mcdaid. I'd be tempted to give Weekes a start over either of them to be honest. Mcdaid looked promising in the Montrose game but since then he's been rank.

Obviously it's clear we could do with more quality upfront but I actually feel the middle of the park is where we need to strengthen the most given how shite Hetherington's been. Krasniqi isn't fancied but with golden boy Seb Ross out injured and Hetherington suspened he may actually get his chance to stake a claim for a starting spot in the next few games. If Telfer were to get injured we'd be absolutely scunnert in the middle of the park. Given how bad we've been and still only being 3 points from the top January is absolutely massive in terms of getting the right quality in.

We played 4-4-2 against Airdrie and were absolutely shite.

Ollie Shaw, Jamie Gullan, Declan Mcmanus, Scott Robinson, Billy Mckay, Alex Jakubiak, Andy Ryan, Ruari Paton. All just me speculating but I doubt i'll be far off the mark.

A win and results all went for us today. Turning point? Disappointing Williamson never even made the bench considering Sheerin said he was back in contention. Hetherington suspended for next week to you can't ask for much more.

He's dung, end of story. Sammy Ompreon also hasn't really offered anything and having watched that game against Evro I doubt he ever will. I'd have personally kept Dowds as a different option but Sheerin clearly didn't fancy him at all given he signed Wilson. We'll need to strengthen in January and I don't think any of us believe Holt will bring in the correct players.
