He looked promising in our 2-2 game up at Links park against Montrose and had it not been for wrotten finishing he could have had a few assists that day(Nesbitt rattling the bar from 5 yards out) then ever since he's not looked interested. If Rennie's persisting with the 3-4-1-2 I expect him to be punted back to Dundee as there's no way he's suited to playing as a wing back.

Unfortunately that would mean Morrison's playing right wing back again. Unless Rennie changes his tactics up.

Gullan's out of contract in the summer and Hibs have just signed another striker which most likely makes him 5th choice. Obviously there will be a fair bit of interest in him as Killie were rumoured to be interested in the summer but you never know. Jakubiak's basically out of the question now given Cumdog and the thumb are rumoured to be leaving. Although he's also out of contract in the summer.

In other news I wonder how many available players we have for Saturday given last weeks game was covid related.

Lafferty at 2k a week or even 3k a week gives you an end total of 12k/18k for the rest of the season. As opposed to Goodwillie who's going to cost 50k possibly along with his 1.5k wage, a hell of a lot of bad press and a lot of fans leaving. Lafferty however we'd have to compete to sign so it all depends on how pally Miller really is with him. Rennie did talk about wanting more of a presence in the box and Lafferty would certainly provide that. Obviously may still be looking for more than 3k as I have no idea roughly what he was on at Killie.

That statement very much reads as if Goodwillie will be unveiled very shortly. Teeing it up nicely with the 'we've got two years to get promoted or we won't be full time' to show the urgency required. Obviously on the park it makes sense to sign the best striker in the division but it seems like a strange decision when off the park the new board have been calling for everyone to pull together. This will clearly do the opposite.

As some have already said the fact he's been quite vocal about wanting to stay at Abroath most likely means the two clubs will try sort something out. Could be a small fee or could be that we'll wait until we've sourced another striker.

He means we're going to let him loose on this division like a hungry dog looking for scraps.

My gripe is that people keep talking about Anton Dowds as if he's our saviour when in reality those same people were most likely calling him pish or 'too overweight' when he was with us. Yes he's a better option than what we have but that's not exactly hard to beat with Ompreon & Wilson there.
