  1. Obviously all hypothetical but how would you describe the 35 year old Liam Craig's abilities on the park this season?
  2. I don't know how I'd feel about us signing Liam Craig, at his age he's not exactly going to run a game for 90 minutes. Does obviously bring a bit of dig into the middle of the park but absolutely loves a yellow card just like Hetherington with stupid late fouls. To me he's far too similar to Hetherington & Miller in that they're all immobile and give away cheap fouls too often.
  3. Still 48 points to play for this season with 16 games left so the playoffs aren't yet unrealistic but by god we need a few decent signings this window. Hopefully we see some this week as we need to start winning games and can't afford to be leaking 2+ every game. New Williamson New Dixon ATS Mccann Telfer New Nesbitt/Morrison Dowds New
  4. Those three sitters from Morrison & ATS are criminal. Hall scuffing the clearance starts the scramble for the first goal then a weak block from Mckay lets it fall straight to their player. ATS is 100% as culpable for that third goal as Martin he needs to just put it out the parl for a throwin and take their player with him if need be. The second goal from them is a well worked goal so it's hard to blame anyone. It's all very good and well having Morrison upfront to pull defenders all over the place but if he's not composed enough to put simple chances away he shouldn't be playing there. We need quality in and that's going to be very hard to get in January.
  5. Convinced this is Dowds' brother. What's a phycologist when it's at home mate.?
  6. They're both as inconsistent as eachother. Nesbitt would be my choice if I had to pick between the two but neither are suited to playing as a centre midfielder.
  7. Apparently his loans up tomorrow so the fact he was in the stand instead of on the bench means he's either injured or he's not fancied so he'll be back to Dundee tomorrow. I'm hoping it's the latter as he's been brutal.
  8. Both are too soft to play in the middle of the park. Nesbitt is fine when he has the free role in the 10 but we don't have the luxury of allowing him a free role against the better teams in this league especially when Gary Miller's playing in the middle of the park. We need someone who's going to boss the middle of the park and allow Telfer to go make things happen.
  9. We've returned 1 possibly up to 3 loans (Ruth & Mcdaid are nowhere to be seen) and the board themselves stated the money raised from the patrons(around 200k) would be used to bolster the team. Somehow I don't think that's just going to be two signings especially when the first one was a free agent. Rennie's been asked a few times about where he's looking to bolster and he side steps the question as if he's worried about upsetting anyone in the squad by saying he's looking for someone in their position. Today's was 'all over the park we have area's we're looking to improve' I've been one of the most vocal on here about wanting signings in but it's clearly not as easy as we think especially given Covid's more likely to make teams retain players they'd generally have no issue letting go. Then add to the fact we're not exactly an exciting prospect to come to just now given our only realistic goal this season is finishing 4th in the third division of Scotland.
  10. This didn't age well, still FTV get the questions asked.
  11. I'll go one further. He can wear the Celtic top, the Rangers shorts and a pair of tights.
  12. 2-2 Dowds & Keena to score for us and Mckay to assist at least one of the Airdrie goals.
  13. Don't see the Reynolds one coming to fruition as some have said he's located up north and he's not a fan of plastic pitches given his knee injuries. Watson will obviously depend on how well his Dundee trials went. Would be quite happy if we managed to get Watson and a younger centre back in on loan. Centre of the parks still a major issue so hopefully that's going to be addressed this transfer window. Then another striker for competition up there. Bleak reading but we'll also have to start planning for next season as we've a fair few players out of contract and a fair few diddies tied down to long term deals. Paddy Martin - 2023 Robbie Mutch - 2022 Leon Mccann - 2024 Brad Mckay - 2024 Ryan Williamson - 2023 Paul Dixon - 2022 Aaron Taylor Sinclair - 2022 Ben Hall - 2022 Mackenzie Lemon - 2022 Cammy Williamson - 2022 Blair Sneddon - 2022 Steven Hetherington - 2023 Aidan Nesbitt - 2023 Craig Mcguffie - 2023 Callumn Morrison - 2023 Seb Ross - 2023 Charlie Telfer - 2022 Gary Miller - 2022 Ben Weekes - 2022 Jaime Wilson - 2023 Sammy Ompreon - 2022 Aidan Keena - 2022 Anton Dowds - 2022
  14. Bit disappointed we never got any new faces in this week. So same starting eleven as last week barring any injuries or covid drop outs. The new system and Williamson being fit for this game should hopefully cause Airdrie a lot more problems. Morrison needs to be more clinical this week as we'll need to score 2+ to win with dick & dom at the back. Could one of the FTV guys on here maybe ask Rennie in his post match interview for an update on the squad. Is Mcdaid back at Dundee? Will Ruth be staying for the season? How long the injured players are going to remain out for? And as a side piece ask him how long he reckons it'll take him to punt Mckay & Hall to buggery.
  15. The game we beat Airdrie away earlier in the season our back line was the below and we also played a fair bit with 10 men thanks to Hetherington so it's not impossible to get a result tomorrow especially if they are without Mcinroy. However it's highly likely we'll leak a few goals if Mckay, Hall & Miller are still in the team so on that basis I think we'd all have been more confident with even one defender coming in. Mutch Miller Hall Lemon Mccann
  16. Maybe fancy Sneddon as better back up for Mccann than Cammy Williamson.
  17. I reckon we've been saving all our announcements until today so Airdrie don't have time to adapt. Reckon we'll see a box office day at the TFS like that Hartley list day. 1. Call the well about the fox. 2. Announce the PW 3. Call anyone about a striker
  18. All three tomorrow or are they going to be spread out over the next coming weeks?
  19. He's rumoured to be out with a hamstring injury but given his performances this season we're relatively happy he's not in the team. Rennie's said it's a clean slate for everyone under him but I don't see him coming back and improving to be fair.
  20. See I think we have that in Dixon he's just been sadled with absolute diddies for far too long. Imagine having to partner Durnan, Hall or Mckay. Obviously don't know how long Dixon's going to be out for but I don't fancy a back three with Reynolds & Dixon starting. Don't see it happening anyway as he's been in the papers previously stating he wants plastic pitches banned. https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/mark-reynolds-calls-plastic-pitches-13889542.amp
