We are an exceptionally poor team right now. Falkirk were worse than anything we've played in the league this season and we still didn't even come close to taking advantage of that.

Ferrie probably saved us from a really embarrassing result. Can't say I'm all that fussed about being out of this tournament, but I continue to be seriously concerned about the consistent mistakes at the back, our lack of urgency going forward, and the fact that this group of players clearly has absolutely no confidence in their own ability.

It's pretty clear that Veldman is going to get sacked sooner rather than later. Airdrie away next week (on TV too, so everyone can see it) is a real worry.

Sometimes signing loads of young players from academies down south isn't wise. Don't understand how you can go so backwards over the summer with all that money.

Did anybody stick out? Can we look forward to seeing one break through soon?

Seem to have the academy teams set up to play the same way as our first team so we were a 4-2-3-1. Standouts for me were our centre mid pairing who both looked to get on the ball all the time and keep things ticking as well as getting involved in the rough side of the game. There weren't really any players who let themselves down to be fair, centre back pairing cleared everything that was thrown into our box.

  3. We weren't terrible but too many of our attacking threats weren't at it tonight. Ross didn't do much when he came on but he should have started ahead of Oliver with Agyeman in behind MacIver.

Disappointed McGlynn didn't try change anything but we've seen that before. Still top of the league and Accies didn't look up to much.

  4. Interesting listening to the Accies fan on the Falkirk Daft podcast talk about Barjonas lacking fitness at the start of the season having come from a part time club. Didn't seem to affect Agyeman, he was our fittest player in preseason.

Hoping with Nesbitt out injured we bring Agyeman back in behind MacIver and put Ross out wide as him and Morrison will have field days against Tumilty & Longridge.

Tumilty red card(stupid early foul trying to lay down a marker and a late second booking when he's tired after 60 minutes) and 3-1 Falkirk, MacIver, Morrison and Lang with the goals.

Having seen both teams at close hand , would say Falkirk more clinical  at going forward but Accies don't give much time or space on the ball and stingy in defence got 1-1 written all over it , best of luck though as will be between you two for the title

When I watched the highlights of your game against Accies they looked very fortunate not to concede a foul for the clumsy tackle on Daramola when it was 0-0.

You seriously think that Williamson had a decent game?

Taking emotion out of it I can't remember him doing much wrong especially given how honking we know he is defensively.

Incredible he's managed to play so many games on the bounce for them right enough, just goes to show he didn't fancy it at us.

Having a look at the highlights again and for their penalty it’s a similar situation to Burrell’s goal for Cove. Lang has committed to the tackle and McCann is just watching as their number 11 is standing in acres of space. You wouldn’t expect both players to miss the ball but McCann really needs to switch on to any potential danger and make sure he’s there to cover.

Not having that as Mccann's fault as Lang should really just pass that man onto Donaldson instead of charging into the tackle.

  8. Fantastic result against a good Montrose team, Blair Lyons fucking loves shafting us.

Nesbitt injuring himself making his first slide tackle of the season sums him up. Get Agyeman back in the 10 and Ethan Ross out wide next week please super John.

Me screaming 'Don't shoot' just as Morrison plants the winner in the top bin. Scenes.

Rumour going round the pub last night that Maciver has picked up a knock in training. Hopefully not bad enough to keep him out.

If it is I'd be throwing Agye up top, different players obviously but means you aren't missing that physical presence up there.

Not saying McGlynn had no influence but I do doubt he was offered more elsewhere.

If it’s true we did offer Tumilty a deal then presume it wasn’t down to McGlynn which made him join Hamilton instead but being offered a better deal.

Anyway could go back and forth all day without knowing whether he was offered more elsewhere. What matters is he’s with us and proving to be a key influence in our team, as with Spencer.

Everything about the Tumilty deal screams to me that we were in pole position but then had to pull out as we didn't have the funds(due to signing Lang, Spencer & Miller), could be that Hamilton came back in again with an increased offer but they had already announced him as leaving so I think the first versions the most plausible.
