The thing is people are trying to say it should be him or Tierney blah blah blah.
They should both be in the team, good young players.
How about he drops some of the dead wood instead. He will be happy to go into another campaign with Hutton,Greer and Berra in the team.
Disagree with Tierney as he has only played 24 games overall - hasn't looked that outstanding that he should be in the Scotland Squad but because he plays for Celtic that he is in the squad - if he was outstanding for Aberdeen I have no doubt he wouldn't be in squad.
Also Andrew Robertson has been great for Scotland and deserves to be in squad that I have no doubt but the other place should go to Shinnie.

Some things never change Shinnie has been Aberdeen best player by a mile this season and also going with Inverness CT fans the same as last season but overlooked because of a Celtic young player that has recently got into the team.

We tried to get Cammy Smith on loan in January. Wonder if we'll return in the Summer.
Aye I heard that which it broke down after our move for Tansey collapsed. Shame for the lad as he isn't getting a chance at Aberdeen and needs first team football - even last night the game we was 1-0 down and was surprised not to see him come off the bench.
Think he needs to leave Aberdeen and try and get first team football. Not sure if good enough for St Johnstone level but has put some decent performance with the dons especially on plastic pitches.

That's a shame for Pawlett, it's time for Cammy Smith to show what he's made of. No Rooney, no Pawlett, no Hayes......I doubt he will have a better opportunity TBH.
Cammy Smith doesn't play out wide though - think for the lad it is better he goes on loan or leave at the end of the season to get first team fitba.

A boring, classless c**t.
He rolls out this exact same interview every few years or so.
Why the f**k any media outlets give him any time of day is the real mystery.
I think that Sportsound interview went a lot further than other interviews that Calderwood has done in the past. I think Calderwood has major personal problems and that the BBC should not have done that interview.

There is absolutely no incentive for people in the RDS to move, I can't see anyone doing it unless the club offers something decent to do so.
There's also the fact that "older" fans get the RDS concourse to mill about in away from the cold and the rain on match days. You don't get that in the merkland or south stand. I genuinely don't see any good reason for people to move at the moment despite what sounds like a good idea.
We also choose to shoot into the RDS in the second half of every game, I assume due to the roar and noise of the fans. Would we still have that with the merkland?
I'm in the beach end lower deck and I think Aberdeen can sell this if they move those downstairs for most of them to go upper deck of the beach end. Think the move will happen as the afc community trust want the space to set-up things for the kids during match days, the only way it won't if there is so much opposition against the move.

Lukas Culjak is a loan signing for Brechin City and Jamie Henry is a loan signing for Arbroath - both until the end of the season.

What nonsense. Where do we "need" players other than possibly a centre mid if Robson goes?
Losing Quinn we need to strengthen Centre back so I expect someone to come into along with another position in midfield or upfront - can't see us signing anyone for money but was surprised when we signed Kenny Mclean for £125,000

Irvine?
Yes although obviously nae a swap deal and a fee.

Read it was Liam Boyce - wouldn't have thought they'd want to involve him in any swap for Quinn unless we're also giving them a fee.
For what its worth, I think we'll sign Don Cowie on loan and then sign him permanently in the summer.
It wasn't Boyce

Good luck to the lad. Hope he has a fantastic time up here. But this feels a bit like the Paul Quinn signing, a bit of an underwhelming journeyman.
On the topic of Quinn, strong rumours that he is off back to Ross County after Sunday's game. If so, good luck to the guy. Sadly, he has proven our scepticism right - not good enough. Dived in to too many challenges. Memorable for the goal against Celtic and thankfully not for the colossal f**k up of a back header he made just after which Griffiths should have buried.
Rotherham United fans seem to rate him highly which remember they are a championship team. Quinn just hasn't worked out, thought he would be a fantastic. Heard rumours we are after another Ross County player so I wonder if it is a swap deal with Quinn

Being better than Scott Bain is hardly "unbelievable hype".
I've never understand the hype with Scott Bain - is an average goalkeeper

Some of the hype for this keeper is unbelievable tbh.
To be fair it is justified even if we have watched sub-standard goalkeeper (Langfield) for awhile before him. I put him up with Peter Kjaer level with the dons although I do believe he has the talent to become a goalkeeper of the standard of Theo Snelders or Jim Leighton.

Agree with most of Bucksburns post above but I think you're dreaming if you think we'll get more than 1 or two new faces in January.
To be fair to Bucksburns post he did say the coming months. Normally you don't do much business in the January transfer window so if we don't lose any players then I would expect about 2 or 3 players to come in and Danny Rogers to come back since we have lost 3 loan players on this transfer window (2 of them shite!)

Wish I shared your sense of inevitability on that one.
Nonetheless it does stand counter to those complaining that your season was over
3 times I've watched hearts and I'm not that impressed with them on any of the games I've watched although Hearts did deserve to win on Saturday. Still class us a fair bit ahead of you guys but if you said 18 months ago you would be in 3rd I suppose you would have taken that.

So who's liable for the outstanding paye and ni contributions?
Is it the old rangers or the recipient's?
Old rangers are liable although the Lord Nimmo Smith Commission fine Oldco £250,000 and it was agreed that Newco would take on football debts so they will have to pay that with interest and costs.

I hope you have evidence to back that up now.
ha ha aye
“He knows the situation with my family, so he did give me some time off last season. When there were games during the week I knew I couldn’t have that time off and I know that goes with the job. But when the games were going from Saturday to Saturday then he would give me Sunday and Monday off."

I predict we will definitely sign someone either this week, January or in the summer. It's more than likely.
See Logan is playing Golf today with Aberdeen FC Golf day.

Christ some sensitive folk on here. I am not claiming to be breaking some sort of exclusive here.
His living situation is a fact, Aberdeen is a temporary move for him.
Will you all calm down if I say I am of the opinion that he will not stay with us much longer
The fact is he normally gets an extra day off than the players so he can see his family. It wouldn't surprise me if he is away before the window closes and I'll be surprised if he staying on once his contract finishes.
One thing I like today with Aberdeen is no rumours of signings gets leaked like they used to do and we hardly anything mentioned with signings before hand which is very good.

Even with Parker that only leaves us with 3 strikers at the club which leaves us short I think. we could use McGinn but McInnes had been very reluctant to play him there.
Manager normally only plays 1 up front so don't really see it that short.

Shankland going leaves us short of cover up front so would hope this means someone else is coming in.
Manager said there will be no more signings in the last press conference.
Heard the Manager is really impressed with Parker. I thought he looked decent when he come on - very fast and had ability.

Shankland away to St Mirren.
Good move this see if he is good enough by dropping down a level. He hasn't shown much when he come into the first team seemed a bit too eager to impress but just not sure about him to be honest.

I'm suggesting that people from villages close to Peterhead do not constitute 'the people of Aberdeen'. It's like saying residents of Brechin are 'the people of Dundee'.
To be fair Aberdeen to Brechin and Aberdeen to New pitsligo is about the same distance.
Anyway new signing another Jeffrey Monakana? Josh Parker come across very well in Interview on RedTV especially when he talks about the downward spiral he was on before he went abroad.

Just saw Stokes is being released by Celtic.
He may be a fud, but he's best mates with McGinn, and could be the final piece of our puzzle. Would be good to show a bit of ambition and bring in a relatively big name.
We seem to have pretty good cover in defence/midfield, but not really up top. Rooney will always get a few goals, but i can't see the likes of Goodwillie and Shankland passing the 10-goal barrier anytime soon.
C'mon Stuarty, stick your hand in yer pooch! (again)
Too much baggage with Stokes and we couldn't afford his wages anyway but we normally only play 1 upfront so that means so with Goodwillie and Rooney going the position is enough with Shankland in the wing.
If we are signing another player then I would rather sign a wide player as Hayes and McGinn gets injured/poor form we don't have much options after that.

The Famous Aberdeen - Season 2022/23

Season ticket prices are released and looks slighty cheaper for those that don't get tickets before deadline - needs to be done with the problems with the oil industry at the moment.
Also one other thing I noticed was black and gold won't have first chance to get tickets for Rangers/Hearts which tickets are restricted for these games and they will only get 10 loyalty points extra. This is correct decision as those that travel to most away games regular deserve first shout.
