  1. Now we need to move on and build on this

Training facilities are next and then its the stadium situation. The most important thing is keeping the team strong though.

Our home crowds are up again this season and that is with the £50 price increase.

Wages will be about the same, only the bonuses will change that.

We will make a lot more from the semi final this year than we did last season. Reason being our game with UTD will have at least 10k more and the other semi will be a sell out at Hampden

We have has 3 European games which were all over 15k

We wont have any debt interest to pay once this is all sorted

    Looking good :)

The most important thing is to live within our means as we used to do under Dick Donald - so every season break even. Ian Donald and then Stewart Milne put us in a bad situation but at least it is now sorted that we should be able to move on from this.

Think Crowds are down by 31 although next game should be up unless we get 9,500. Wages are a little up from last season as Derek McInnes said in the black and gold meeting last week.

  2. Last night was easily as bad as some of the worst performances under McGee. Hopefully a one off and lessons will be learned.

Think fans have an over reaction to the result and I would add that some of Craig Browns games was a lot worse than the Hamilton game. I think 3-0 flattered Hamilton and if we took the 2 major chances in the first half it could have been a different game. 2nd half was a major disappointment going forward as didn't create much but Hamilton didn't really create that much overall but they do work hard for each other hence why they are having the success at the moment.

Overall we are 1 point worse off than last season, scored 4 more goals although conceded 6 more goals. I think we have played some good stuff this season actually attacking the opposition a lot more than I've watched in awhile, defence has been a concern but I think that has more to do with Taylor who I don't rate at all - hopefully he proves me wrong but I think its too big a step up for the lad. I do think we have the quality to improve on last season points total but hopefully we keep playing 2 upfront although try and get a balance by tighten up the defence a little.

  3. The polls are showing that it's the over 60s who will swing the vote towards No. If this ends up the case, and it does indeed finish around 47/53 no, then social media will have merely reflected that gap between the generations your talking about.

Let's hope the polls are wrong.

My mum and dad are over 60 and they voted Yes :) - What % (or population) of the vote is over 60?

  4. If the Polls are right then I can see the No winning by 4 or 5% but when I look at the social media I don't think the Polls are right. The amount of yes I see is unbelievable in these social media of twitter/facebook but maybe its more the younger will more likely vote for yes and the more older people that don't use social media much will more likely vote for a no. My family is split 50/50.

Not much sleep last night and hope to get a few hours tonight before the count, really want a yes to win.

  5. As I said earlier, my mate who works in a branch in Dundee said that if a 'No' vote came in, his branch at least, would lose much more money than if a 'Yes' vote did. That being said, I think the bookies will be relatively comfortable regardless of the result.

I've no doubt all shops have had more bets on yes due to the price but all bookies will be on betfair or betdaq exchange to lay the bets to make money on any outcome. Funny enough Betfair paying out in their sportsbook but those on the exchange which has nearly 9 million on bets don't get paid out yet

  6. The bookies will be paying out far more in the event of a No vote than they will in the event of a Yes vote. A yes vote will make the industry a healthy profit. A no vote will result in at least 6 figure losses.

No chance, bookies will be on the exchanges laying their bets. I would think every bookie will make money either way the decision.

Also on betfair promoting their payout like other bookies have done as Betfred did for Man United in 2012 and we all know how that turned out.

  7. Win-win all round. Goodwillie isn't signing for a potential relegation rival, takes you out of the market for Higdon (Hopefully) and Aberdeen get a potentially good player and Dundee get a hate figure.

    Must be a fish :)

Anyway someone asked McInnes about Higdon at a press conference before our European game and he said Higdon will not be coming back to Scotland.

  8. Glasgow - that is how to behave!!!

A Message To The Darts Fans Of Aberdeen

The PDC would like to thank the 4,000 fans who attended the 888.com Premier League Darts in Aberdeen on Thursday night.

You created a superb atmosphere throughout, showing good humour and respect where it was due to all eight players - enjoying both the darts and the occasion.

On behalf of our players, broadcasters and sponsors we'd like to thank you for your conduct on the evening and we look forward to bringing the show back to the AECC in 2012.

  9. So how did you get from it being a Scottish problem, which it probably is, to an OF problem?

Aberdeen haven't had this problem yet - they boo which is fair enough but they have never chucked drink or coins. Be interesting to see how the darts are in a few weeks time there.

I know Barney is popular in scotland but there was so much orange tops last night which i think is more about bigots then being a massive fan of Barney. Then there was a shot of someone celebrating St Patricks Day and got a massive boo - that sums Glasgow up - who really gives a shit about St Patricks day or the orange tops shite.

Thank f**k i live in Aberdeen which i don't see any of the bigot stuff that the west coast has and both as bad as each other.

  10. Looking at the averages in the bdo is really bad standard. No-one has hit 95 average and most are in the 80's average. One 2nd round had a game with best average of 76. No doubt BDO will go on about average of 100 but that doesn't count doubles though. I wonder if the end is near for the BDO. Can't really watch these matches as so poor compared to PDC.

Even Wolfie average of 92 is just shite that many PDC players would beat. I can't really watch the BDO these days as standard is really poor.

  11. Quite funny how many people recommend betfair.

Betfair imho has one of the worst prices for most scottish football games unless the other team is well fancied and you can get a bit of value that way but I dislike betfair especially the way they treat successful punters with their Premium Charge. I would rather people moved to Betdaq than Betfair although a fair bet less money on it apart from Asian handicap betting.

The best bookie i would recommend is bet365.

  12. Very Well Red races again tomorrow! It's bound to win this time, one millionth time lucky!

It did indeed at 14/1 too. dingus70 is dominating the competition too :D - i'm in second place and i know nothing about horses but pick that horse because i'm a dandy dons fan :D

Thanks for the plug though for the competition. Soon start the golf comp, darts, tennis along with the excellent buttmonkey scottish football comp which anyone can take part in any competition. http://www.bettingcompetition.co.uk/forum/index.php

  13. I don't want to sound like a bitter person, and I'm not as it has done me more favours than time it has screwed me over, but betfair poker is absolutely not random.

The proportion of AA or AK or QQ hands it dishes out is not real, especially when you play another poker server at the same time. I was always sceptical until I played betfred and betfair poker for a fortnight each, you had to have a totally different strategy on betfair, there are far more 'good' hands on betfair.

I've never noticed it any different from any other online poker company. I've played a few and i can honestly say i seem to get the same amout of AA, AK or QQ hands. Saying that i don't realy play any other online poker these days because i prefer the betfair sit and go's which suits my style.

  14. Various, just depends where my money is tied up.

That one was on betfair, which is a bit dodge, I also play on Hills and Betfred.

Betfair poker is a bit dodge??? Found betfair ok - anyway what is your alias on betfair, i may have played against you a bit?
