  1. Heard he hasn't been particularly great for Falkirk since joining them but he was very good here. Hopefully can slot right back in.
  2. Not necessarily a bad idea, but the problem is that touring the country probably wouldn't work because for big games there are only really two or three viable alternatives to Hampden, two of which are in Glasgow and one of which is in Edinburgh. I admire the idea of touring the country and offering it to different stadiums etc, but the problem is that the vast majority of Scotland's population is situated within the Central Belt, and for competitive games there aren't any stadiums outwith the central belt that can hold them. Pittodrie for a friendly or two would be reasonable, but by putting it there you're going to automatically be a lot more unlikely to attract a lot of people from where the vast majority of Scotland's population is. Which isn't really helpful.
  3. Might be more damning leaks to come. Rumours are the papers were going to reveal he votes Tory.
  4. You'd think they'll maybe get Manafort to flip eventually. Especially if they start to nail others and get more and more dirt on him.
  5. I wonder if the differing circumstances in regards to us being allowed to have a referendum has perhaps influenced that. Catalonia have been denied any hope of one time and time again which no doubt has fueled the fire and led to more and more people thinking they're being oppressed by the Spanish government. Which is a fair conclusion to reach after the scenes back at the start of the month. By contrast in Scotland we were allowed a referendum which was held fairly with a reasonable standard of debate. Naturally there were some issues with the media etc, but on the whole it'd be hard to argue the UK government were oppressing us at all when they gave us a fair and open chance to vote on our future. Any radical group trying to instigate a referendum would be shunned due to the fact we've literally just had one a few years back. Events post-Brexit do help the argument for holding another one, but no matter what happens within the UK unionists can naturally fall back on us being allowed to have our own choice. Whereas in Catalonia pro-independence voices can of course say that's not been the case and that Spain haven't been willing to listen to them at all.
  6. Owen Smith's a bit rubbish. Had almost forgotten his disastrous campaign against Corbyn last year.
  7. Wouldn't have anything against us signing Baird - probably won't be our main striker but a relatively consistent scorer at this level.
  8. Aye, agree with that. His managerial resume is still fairly short so if he doesn't build on St Mirren's improved form next season, it's unlikely he'll be getting another shot at an SPL club anytime soon. Would be very surprised if he doesn't take it, presuming he gets the chance to.
  9. To be fair to McCormack, he did go on to prove us wrong with blistering spells at Bellshill Athletic, Albion Rovers and Clyde, and won prestigious honours such as the 2007-08 Lanarkshire Cup.
  10. UKIP probably realise a lot of their right-wing support has now went back to the Tories post-Brexit, and they're not really going to gain anything from them. Presumably they're honing down on targeting Labour supporters who voted for Brexit and feel disillusioned in the party. Will win them a few but with their general vote share going down it'll be nowhere near enough to win any seats.
  11. Probably. Perhaps Labour folk who felt quite disillusioned but wouldn't vote Tory switching to UKIP instead, before abandoning UKIP when the Tories starting expressing a lot of views which were sort of similar to what UKIP were saying anyway.
  12. They tried to do a UKIP version of The Godfather but it didn't work out when there was no one for the leader to pass over to since everyone who succeeded him kept on resigning.
  13. Aye, I'm sceptical myself but once the decisions made, makes sense to get behind it and start working on securing a Yes vote.
  14. All about finding a balance - naturally don't want it to be too focused on the SNP alone, but at the same time the last thing people want to see is infighting and squabbling among people on the same side. Shouldn't happen though, since it mostly all went well last time.
  15. Aye, I've got some doubts myself as to whether or not it's too soon, but there's not going to be a sudden moment where everyone's just simultaneously hit by the affects of Brexit and sees the light. If the effects are to be negative it'll be a gradual thing which hits everyone differently, and the government would no doubt try to pass it off as something instead.
  16. Probably needs to be something different this time, maybe a Scottish currency pegged to the pound.
  17. She might want to let the dust settle with Brexit a bit first. I think it's risky for the SNP to go for it now considering they're still far from getting consistent leads in polls to guarantee a win, but at the same time it'd likely be close and if they got another run at it and had a strong, successful campaign it'd possibly be theirs to lose.
  18. Got on Scotland Tonight and Willie Rennie's going on about how we can have a referendum on the second deal...in what world is this happening? His party don't even have ten MP's and the big two aren't going for a second referendum. Delusional.
  19. Hilary lost a lot of the key swing states too, areas where apparently Sanders was quite popular. Ultimately Hilary failed to turn votes to electoral college seats as effectively as Trump and if Sanders had an appeal in those states he'd have come closer to winning, or would've managed to win. Hard to imagine someone doing a poorer job than Clinton did in the end.
  20. He's not that bad. Overused aye, but he's only really been the focus of one episode.
  21. It was good but the CGI when Boaby threw the dart at the spider was awful. Fun apart from that though.
