  1. Fab Cab? 600-800k? (Depending on source). Probably spent the same again sending him to the Bologna clinic after the DABs ruined his career.
  2. The club is missing a trick if they don't get them in the club shop asap. Would fly off the shelves.
  3. I think you'll find they're called pantaloons.
  4. The club should go left field and go with Our Boys AC Milan-esque original kit or East End's crazy horse jockey effort from 1886.
  5. Would be tempted to buy the blue and white striped effort if it comes to pass. Even though it is the colours of East End and I, for no particular logical reason, consider myself an Our Boys man.
  6. One of the names considered for the new club was Juteopolis - that would have been fantastic.
  7. That makes no sense and, at any rate, hard to quantify. Given our recent past and current set-up our level is 8th-9th imo. So you are tipping us for relegation?
  8. I'd take a comfortable 7-9th along the lines of 15-16 season tbh. Levein's Hearts could fall out of top six so it's a possibility but McCann would have to do some stellar transfer business in the coming window I think for us to break into the top half.
  9. Crazy to think that when the Cobra & Mongoose were in their DFC pomp that Graham Harvey was third choice striker- a player more than capable of knocking in 20 goals a season himself.
  10. I think he's more effective driving forward from midfield but he needs to be more aware of players around him and distribute more rather than always going for a, rarely on target, shot. He also needs to either bulk up or use his size and speed better- far too lightweight. I can't not like the guy but he needs to acclimatise to the Premiership quickly- I just can't see that happening.
  11. Yeah, ideally we won't be looking to replace our better players as well as trying to strengthen in areas in dire need of quality but money talks- esp if the club gets the feeling Caulker isn't looking to renew. One reasonably settled summer of transfer dealings is all I ask.
  12. A Twitter account that purports to provide reliable transfer news but only has 62 followers has indicated St. Mirren might look to bring Kane Hemmings in on loan; that Celtic and Rosenborg may be in competition to land Caulker with figs in excess of £2m being touted and that Dundee are looking to land Murray permanently.
  13. Firkin Brewery white away for me. My life regret is wearing mine while painting and decorating [emoji29]
  14. Hand him his personal belongings in a bin bag...That's getting back to doing things the United way, isn't it?
  15. With the title being wrapped up on 02.05.26 against Utd in their (brief) return to top flight football. It's written.
  16. I'm already looking forward to our 97th (ninety-seventh) season in the top flight.
  17. The club has probably applied next year's prices in error...
  18. It was also the start of a new Dundee tradition: relegating our local rivals.
  19. It's the add ons- having a notion of taking the kids along to a game bumps up the price of going considerably. For those who aren't regular attendees the football competes with other family activities - and there's no guarantee of being entertained at Dens. I also take issue with the meteoric rise in concession prices. If the board want to stick with high PATG prices then fine- but at least put a structure or initiatives in place that encourages families to come along en masse. For a mother or father the adult PATG price is the tip of the iceberg.
  20. I remember Nelms saying he wanted to 'break ground' in 2019. In a recent programme he said that timescale had slipped. Assuming it gets the go ahead and construction starts in late 2019/early 2020 I reckon 21-22 season at the earliest - that gives us 3 more loss-making; relegation battling; touchline rammy-filled seasons at the old bird. Assuming I haven't over egged the construction start date and time. Hopefully I'll have enough spare change to bid for a few items of memorabilia when they auction off the fixtures and fittings!
  21. I'm a bit of a nomad as am PATG- miss too many games to make ST worthwhile- and I reckon Main Stand > Cox. Which is a shame as when it first opened the Cox rivalled the Derry for atmosphere. I've warmed to the Main Stand in the last couple of seasons but that's probably because I'm becoming one of those auld farts. Plus it's a bit of a throwback which will be lost forever when the Nou Campy opens.
  22. As much as I am happy that Utd didn't make the final, the tactics of Roma were deplorable and, sadly, nothing new. I'm glad Liverpool ruined the party by turfing them on their own patch. A couple of other Scottish teams' Euro Cup exploits can be read about here: https://www.theguardian.com/sport/blog/2011/apr/29/joy-of-six-european-cup-semi-memories?CMP=twt_gu If only the draw was as kind to Dundee in 1962-63 as it was to Celtic in 1966-67.
