I don't get the obsession with the utterly vague R number especially when there isn't full testing in the UK. Over here in Belgium everything is based on number of new hospitalisations which seems a much more obvious way of basing things on.

Got to remember any newspaper reporting "scientific findings", (I use to term loosely cause I have no idea of the source) will be reporting it incorrectly, more likely than not.

Without knowing the accuracy, antibody testing on the continent, Belgium/Spain/France suggests in most countries around 5% immunity, considering the spread is similar in the U.K. as in these countries. I am cynical. Although I don't know how accurate antibody testing still is.

Belgian government have confirmed I can get a badly needed hair cut on Monday. Only by appointment, with a face mask and with social distancing observed where possible. Though I don't have a face mask, which are supposed to be available from railway station snack vending machines, but aren't.

My current situation is I'm not busy at all right now (nothing to do with covid) and regularly don't have enough work to fill the day. However I know by August I will very busy all day. I am confident that it would probably not make financial sense for my employer to not have some excess right now.

My work has asked me to book out my annual leave for the rest of the year, with none getting carried over til next year. Only actually booked two days so far this year.

They will probably be going home when there shift is finished. If they do need to stay I imagine they would be asking for overtime. And you also clearly have zero idea how scientific research works. All round terrible post.
