  1. Not sure how relevant it is here, but it looks like here in Belgium they are about to declare Club Brugge champions: there have been 29 games played so far which means everyone almost played each other twice, with more game til utterly stupid Belgian play off starts. Give n Brugge are 15 points clear it is probably fair, despite my local team being second placed Gent. It seems that Waasland Beveren are getting relegated even though they are within three point of Oostende and Cercle Brugge. However, the two of them are due to play each other anyway on the 30th match day. So under Belgium's ridiculous play off system, they were down anyway. Doubt any of this is transferable to Scotland
  2. Probably because these are least important things in the grand scheme of things. Also many people will travel from other locations to attend these. Whereas everything else (except maybe work), involves less traveling from other areas
  3. Here in Belgium I believe I read the order is to be schools, then workplaces, then shops, then bars and restaurants alongside concerts and football matches. I believe is the planned order for ending the lockdown
  4. That sounds familiar although my sore throat developed a few hours after I started coughing, are you breathing ok? Sore throat came first for me, alongside sweating. Coughing is very intermittent, I had a mild fit this morning but otherwise ok. No shortness of breath, occasionally chest pains but nothing Concerning yet. I'm in my 20s and no health problems, though recently quit smoking. I have been working from home for three weeks now (lockdown in Belgium, happened a week before U.K.) and only contact with anyone else has been only at the supermarket or Deliveroo or solo exercise.
  5. I don't think many in our 20s or 30s are worried about dying. Worried about killing yes, but not dying ourselves.
  6. I know a few people here have been infected, I am just wondering what were the initial symptoms like. I've got a sore throat right now, with a slight cough, and a very very mild fever, started off with temperature, then felt cold, now sweating quite a lot. Started on Tuesday, fine yesterday and back again today. I work from home and live by myself, but I've stayed indoors for the last few days. Under normal circumstances, I wouldn't even consider taking time off work with how I'm feeling. Just wondering if I could be infected, or am I just being paranoid.
  7. We have less people over the age of 80 though. That's on our side. Don't know if that makes things better or worse
  8. Affigem is good, but isn't that Belgian rather than Dutch? Amstel is a perfectly acceptable beer if you're in the Netherlands though. Affligem is definitely Belgian. No one should be drinking Dutch beer. If you ignore shite like Stella or Jupiler, Belgian beer is by far the best in the world. La Chouffe or Orval imo
  9. Ordered a pizza on Deliveroo yesterday. Got two cookies instead, was credited to my account the cost of the pizza but didn't get my delivery charge back.
  10. It is rarely the experts that role these things or as fact. It is often the media who report things in the sensationalist way. Lets face it, 6 months seems conservative. While it be the case nobodies knows how this is going to play out so there absolutely no point in predicting. Restrictions at some point in the next month or so and then we will make new models based on what happens then. Also without the models we would probably be still going down the herd immunity strategy, which would in all likelihood mean many more deaths here.
  11. The experts can only work with the data they have, which right now is limited, incredibly unreliable and changing every day. And that's before taking into account the different governments are taking which will change things as well.
  12. All I can as the conversation. Is while here in Belgium people are allowed to leave the house together. At the supermarket, where they have a queueing system with social distancing, couples are forbidden from entering, and one has to wait outside. They also have a sort of pen outside for older children to go in. However, I have noticed that younger children, And disabled people are allowed in with carers/parents etc. Here generally speaking people have been respectful of rules I noticed, and I only really noticed one older lady who was clearly getting very confused by the system, ended up skipping most of the queue at tills cause she took no notice of the distancing. Also seemed to be one alcoholic got to argument outside at one point. Though my Dutch isn't good enough to really know what was actually going on.
  13. We are doing the clap for our medical workers thing here in Belgium. Also someone on my street feels the need to play really loud music from his/her balcony for 30 minutes alongside the clapping. It gets tiresome really quickly
  14. I am pretty sure he is talking about in Italy itself. Where sky do control serie a
  15. That's the prime minister of Belgium ordered all schools, universities as well as pubs and restaurants to be closed. Strictest rules outside Italy in Europe apparently after weeks of doing nothing. Hopefully that will mean I get to work from home for the next month or so. Though considering one of my colleagues was quarantined on Tuesday, and they kept the office open, who knows. Thankfully I got toilet paper on Monday as there was none left today. Panic buying definitely a thing here.
  16. Yeah, but they are not actively promoting or in anyway involved violence. So while they may be "extreme" which is debatable, they are not anyway close to being like violent neo Nazis or isis types, which is the point of prevent.
  17. Don't really normally post, more of a lurker, but I'll just add my choices 1. @hearthammer 2. @WATTOO 3. @Munoz 4. @Monkey Tennis 5. @Pet Jeden
  18. My Swedish mates view tends more to be that only fascists fly the Sweden flag.
  19. Had a similar one this morning, forgot my password to the bus app. It Sent the verification code to my email, but when I left the app to go to my email to check the code, it went back to the start of the process. In the end just didn't pay for the bus. To add that to that I fell off my bike this morning and broke it, trying to avoid someone on a scooter. In front of a lot of people. Which is annoying.
  20. While I guess they have no chance in whatever seat you are in. Why not the Lib Dem's?
  21. Gent 2-2 Wolfsburg. Enjoyable game which arguably Gent should of won. Last minute equaliser gave a decent atmosphere at the end. Wolfsburg looked like they were playing fairly half-arsed though, no idea how strong the team they put out was. Away fans were loud, but in the kind of shite typical German ultras style with no appreciation of the flow of the game. As always stadium is very good, with a decent view of the pitch even from the cheap seats.
  22. Gent v Wolfsburg for me tomorrow. Don't know if Gent actually counts as random anymore tho
  23. Demented Zebra is having a normal one on the St Mirren thread
