  1. If we hadn't made a dumpster fire of the European and Raith games then we'd be almost a million better off and in a much better position to play hardball. As it turns out his transfer could make the difference between this season going down in the books as a red one or in the black which I think our board will favour to extend their prudence credentials.

On a side note but kinda related, I've wondered and discussed with a friend recently if Hibs hadn't punted McGinn if Max Johnson would have stayed in the building as understdy/cover/supercede SOD or as a wingback if SOD was pushed into the right centre half position of a back 5 (where McGinn now resides). Certainly we would have been in a good/better position in October to discuss an extension. It's all sliding doors stuff and Hammy wouldn't have gone away from a back 4 even with a gun at his head, but Motherwell could have a potential 7 figure asset on our books rather than going for the standard £300-400k development fee. Lot's of ifs and buts granted.

Still hurting.  Come on big guy let it out.  We're here for you.

Far from it, the only one of our cast off's I'd still have is O'Hara as we've found out decent players being used poorly clouds many a judgement. I was one sad to see him go, but could understand it.

I'd have taken Dunne in January when we were relying on Sol and Lamie but on a two week loan.

Las improved our "hot daddy" co-efficient.

But you lot keep on sniffing round after we've done all the donkey work and continue to buy our donkey's.

    Ffs hibs

Ricki Lamie to power in an equalising header at Parkhead to overtake Hibs on GD ..... cometh the hour, cometh the man.

I had it in my head Alexander was signed on a 2.5 year deal initially, part of the buy in for moving up permanently and his record at Salford to get him. But @capt_oats is right there's not mention in his appointment or subsequent contract extension. But in January 2022 if he did have 4 months to go, then a 3 year extension to the summer of 2025 does seem excessive, a 2 year extension with 1.5 to go seems to be easier to understand. But then when he arrived would he have had a view on 18 months allowed him to get back down South and be attractive to the English market for no compo required?

The talk at the time was while a bump in salary there were extra stuff in the deal for the clubs benefit. Don't know about that, maybe a narrative put out by Flao via his unwitting pals when things started to go tits up.

However, trying to come to terms with the concept if things hadn't gone so awry, we'd be approaching 2 seasons of prime Alexanderball with two more on the horizon until his agreed deal was up. Contemplating what that would do for my blood pressure and desire to gouge my own eyes.

Need to enjoy Van Veen while we can.

No way a 22+ goal a season striker for Motherwell isn’t going attract attention.

Even more wild this 20+ season has 7 games left and also included 7 points from 51 right in the middle of it.

In recent times, Higdon and Sutton got their hauls in successful teams that consistently won.

Did Kettlewell sign an 18 month gig?

Mental how Sean Goss is the best midfielder in the world, eh.

(I didn't go to the game and have had many, many glasses of wine.)

I'm beginning to wonder if a lot of players I've given stick to over the years if played correctly and not given wild instructions are actually decent when used to their strengths by a manager who seems to know what he's doing.

I'd have driven Goss to the airport before Christmas.

Ketts has a 71% win record .... some boi

The big "Irish" bars will have some (OF) scottish games via a Sky UK "expat" package.

90% going on my straw poll currently have the expat package as domiciles.

@thisGRAEME is it usually Sky’s cameras or an independent third party? While they may not hold the rights surely a cut of the fee the SPFL earn per region is funnelled to those who facilitate the coverage.

Don’t know if you have an idea of the numbers involved but do all the cuts cover the production or do Sky need to top it up with some of their advertising/sub revenues.
