  1. The Elliot story is a STAR exclusive today. Big decision for him with a testimonial due in a few years
  2. The way it has been handled has been very poor, to say the least. It appears he had no inkling that this was about to happen, however we will get the chance to give him a fantastic send off when his testimonial match takes place and lets hope Firhill is packed to the rafters for that!!
  3. So does this guy. I think Boyd would score plenty in the championship but having Boyd and possibly Miller as a strike duo somehow makes my stomach churn! https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/sport/football/4223785/kris-boyd-partick-thistle-kilmarnock-transfer-news-firhill/
  4. Fantastic servant but in my opinion his time was up. Being honest I am more upset that McDonald wont be there next season. Nothing lasts for ever and its time to move on. Only thing that will upset me is if Miller is deemed to be his replacement. That will cause a serious meltdown!! All the best Kris. I am sure he will be in our dugout in the not to distant future!!
  5. Think he will be given the Erskine option by Caldwell.Wont be getting a regular start but will be on the bench. Up to Kris whether he wants to accept that or move on.
  6. Agreed, Rudden would be a good shout especially if we cant persuade Skippy to stay!
  7. Spittal was the 2nd last guy off the pitch yesterday after Dools. Think he is away. If he goes it would be great to get Tidser (few rumours about that yesterday) as a replacement. Good player and the seethe it would cause with Viking Ton, Port Ton, Ayrshire Ton and all the other Simple Tons over on the Morton thread would be fecking awesome...lol
  8. A lower league Kris Boyd would do me fine. If he does sod all, other than score plenty of goals I cant see many jags fans complaining!!
  9. Yip, he is the type of player we should be taking a punt on
  10. If their contract was up at the end of the season they wouldnt be due very much. Months wages maybe. As has been said, probably a good move for them to say that they werent being allowed to play the team they wanted due to boardroom influence and resign on a point of principle
  11. Good appointment if you can get him! https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/sport/football/4203670/david-hopkin-lined-up-take-over-morton-jonatan-johansson/
  12. The Cicero Kid, Nobbie Bobson or Robbie Bobson. Guy is a twat and should be ignored. Still a good chance his club could be a one season wonder and be joining us next season, so not sure why he is always concentrating on firing his shit at us. I would be more worried by my own clubs plight!!
  13. If you go by the Jagzone interview with Skippy, it looks unlikely he will be with us next season. He has loved his time so much he intends to play on. When questioned if that will be at Firhill he said “we will see” then stated that there maybe a very attractive other option open to him. Wonder if he maybe has a player/manager job lined up (maybe something like Morton) Anyway, no matter what happens he has went from a wee shit to a Jags legend in 3 months. Honestly think we would be in Falkirks position now if it hadnt been for him.
  14. From zero to hero and back to zero again. Dont think I have ever seen a guy that is 6-4 be constantly outjumped by a striker that is about 5-9. MOTM....jeez hospitality must have been good!!
  15. He has went from zero to hero in the space of a few weeks!!
  16. This. If he couldnt get into the Saints team this season I cant see him getting in next season. If we can get him, we then have our central defence sorted for next season with O’Ware, McGinty and Saunders as well, all under contract. McGinty has been a revelation since he came back in and I agree that Ando has probably been a big help but I would imagine the manager has been giving him plenty of advice as well. It was great to see him going bonkers at the end of the Ayr game and going round applauding all the fans!
  17. We wont. Think we will win comfortably on Saturday and in Dumfries next week and unbelievably, probably end up 5th. No matter what anyone thinks, Caldwell had the balls to rip the team to shreds in January, got rid of every bit of dross Archie brought in and start again. It could have backfired massively given the trouble we were in, but it hasnt. The signings of Ando, Cardo and especially, Skippy has turned our season round, plus most of his other signings, Saunders, McMillan, Hazard and Harkins have all contributed. Mansell has been average. The only dud appears to be Ally Roy. He now deserves the chance to have a close season and fully shape his squad. Long way to go but the last few months, though nerve shredding, have been very encouraging!
  18. It is a waste of a very good goalkeeper considering, at around 33, he should be in his prime. Barring injury he has no chance of getting a regular game but pretty sure his wages up there will more than make up for that
  19. Tremendous highlights package which puts Jagzone to shame. Camera behind the goal, cameraman does know how to zoom in and commentary (which appears to have disappeared from Jagzone...well it had last night)
  20. Nope. Speech from Jacqui Lowe reiterating the boards backing for Caldwell and Kerr, so much so that if we do go down I reckon he will get the opportunity to get us back. Caldwell presented a few prizes, but said nothing. Players banned from drinking due to Tuesdays game. Colin Weir was there in a wheelchair. Players left after the meal and awards as did I. 3 hours of jigging aint my idea of fun. Was a pretty uneventful evening but Gawd knows what it would have been like if we had lost!!
  21. https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.thescottishsun.co.uk/news/4103610/lottery-winners-colin-christine-weir-split-divorce-ayrshire/amp/
  22. When I read he was heavily involved in cricket Scotland, I thought it was Bobby Kettlewell...lol https://ptfc.co.uk/ptfc-news/partick-thistle-announces-appointment-of-new-director/
  23. You aint seen nothing yet. They are signing Turner and Overdrive as well!!
  24. If I was Caldwell, I would be trying to get Skippy on another years deal, right now, no matter what division we are in. He is as fit as anyone at the club and the signs of a prolific partnership with Dools was there for all to see on Saturday
